I have sold my Gene Yesterday. As you can see from my signature, I currently have no device.
Anyway, what ever be my new device, its not going to be a Gene... HTC it will be, but not Gene.
Anyway I was planning to upgrade, but not so soon.

Touch Pro2 or T HD is f*&#king expensive in India . I am planning for either TD or TD2. Will surely let you know...

Buddy I already have 2 connections... Don't need another one (Already paying nearly 4 K for cell bills ). Sold it for 6 K, one year old (nearly), not bad. My phones are always in mint conditions, since I always keep them as my prized possessions. If You have seen it, you wouldn't believe... It was completely scratchless .
The only phone which I ever had has visible bruises was my Vox, but thanks goes to HTC for a crap of a housing .

i have 1 alternative if u don mind.Apple has introduced free shipping for the iphone 3g and 3g S.(same goes with my beloved palm pre)
go for the 3G S.if u purchase online from AT&T(same 199$ for 16gb & 299$ for 32gb model).u'll get it within a week.jailbreak it.have fun!!!!!!!!
my friend has done the same thing.he also enjoys applications like office in hand(MS OFFICE APP) bluetooth which are not there in the iphone.plus with the 3.0 firmware update u get TOM TOM pre installed.
But if u wannu buy an HTC only.i suggest u wait for atleast this year.next year many new HTC handsets are coming up.(the much awaited HTC LEO too.)next year TD & TD2 prices are expected to fall drastically.

I will buy anything but an apple phone unless they change their Gullum (TLOR) like attitude. We are buying such an expensive device, so we should atleast have the right to decide whats right for me and whats not.
Addicted we will miss you. Even Im switching to a new phone, possibly TD or iphone.

u are 100% right.the 2 years contract is still there.if this was not the case.i would have enjoyed an iphone 3g right 2 years back when i wished to have one but couldnt get it shipped.what my friend's case was - his cousins bought the phone from UK(london) and then fedex it to india.no contract.yes,initially u have to take an AT&T plan(donno the tenure).
i wont get it shipped as im goin abroad next year probably to germany.(not fixed.it was canada a month before ) So i'll either go for a palm pre or an iphone 3g S.depends on the plans both offer me.
Please let me know, if you are going abroad. I would like to buy a pre or iPhone, much cheaper there!

donno man.since its jailbreaked that guy is having dam good fun.i mean who imagined office and bluetooth in a device like the iphone.really cool.if this works out for me,iphone 3g S is definetly the pic for me.since i have a hands on experience of the 3g S now,its mind blowing.extremely fast and worth the price.

The StrTrk was and thanks to its modders still is a great little phone but it is little more than a pretty outdated, classic phone by now and when I bought mine a couple of years ago its pricetag was in the double digits.
Did I get ripped off? I was bidding for it on Ebay. The listing said 10% off retail which I thought was a deal.
Sorry to say---Yes.....I got a StarTrek about 6 months ago with everything new--missing a charger for $85.00...It has a data cable that I use to charge it with, so I didn't need the charger. It was a new/old stock---never used.
I'd talk to the seller if I were you--and do a search for StarTrek on eBay...Mine was priced a bit high, but I paid because the phone was new in box.

As far as I know, they're long since out of production - Orange sold off their stock back in January !
Any reason you want the TG01 in particular?
I would go with something like the HD2 (then android it), or the HTC desire if I could have afforded it at the time.
TG01 is powerful, but the perhaps not a smart choice anymore (unless you can pick one up cheap, which is the beauty of them lol).

I have got one TG01 already and quite satisfy with it, just wanna buy it for a friend.
I think in terms of cost-application, that phone is the best ^^

Guys, who all have got sgs2 today as promised by handtec in uk ?
R u guys happy with their delivery service ? Why no one has posted their new experience with this phone ?
One strange thing is bugging me, eventhough sgs2 is such a popular device around the world, why handtec still has huge stock left ? Is it because they have too much of stock or no one except few crazy people like me have bought it from them ?
I mean this is very strange for handtec, as new device gets released arlest we have to wait for min 1 month until we get the devices in stock. Atleast that's what happened to me last year when I ordered htc desire...
I guess the reason could be because of the samsung's thoughtful plan of releasing it throughout the world at the same time or around a minimum duration.
Or it might be because of lack of NFC which is preventing people from buying it online from uk ??? I think it's the least cause for the people to do it that way for such a master piece in the whole mobile industry till today....

I just hope there is stock left at the end of the week. Because if AT&T/Samsung do not announce the S II U.S. launch date at their press conference Thursday, I will be ordering from UK.
It sounds like they are launching in 120 countries this week and next so I assume they made sure to have plenty of stock.
Any chance of them reducing the price of sgs2 to promote the sales ?

unless you are never gonna root it the just get a new one.
so if I would buy one now, I would might have the old version of the original rom from htc that I could root? because I want to root it, I actually use my XDA Touch 2 (HTC Topaz) with original rom from htc without branding, so I would love to root it......I thought htc has released opened bootloader for some android devices?
so what's you're idea? what shall I do know?

HTC did unlock boot loader, but from what I've read there are a few more obstacles with that method. Maybe i'm old school but I'd much rather rely on the guys from xda than HTC. HTC makes great phones but I prefer the software from hackers.

i dont know how much that is but i buy and sell the evo 3D here in USA for around $250-$300 US dollars . thats a used one with CDMA . not sure how that translates to euro or if the GSM is priced differently.
hm.....so my only option to get one is to buy one from there for the 450-600euros....ok, it's very expensive compared to cdma phone in usa so I have no option, thank you, will inform you here if I bought one

Seriously ? As someone wise on here said in another thread about 5 minutes ago (or words to that effect) "Think about it logically".
Of course the price is going to drop in many places. New model coming, telcos flogging the phone on plans in particular will be wanting to get rid of them; I.E. Used to be on say $39 a mth +$5 per mth for handset plan now available for $29 per mth +$0.
Not exactly rocket surgery.
R.I.P people having a few seconds worth of thinking before they post on here.
