I'm living in germany and the Evo3D actually isn't out till today, so I want to buy one from the U.K., because I thought of the gsm-network there, we're using the same here in germany..my question is what is better? wait until it will be relaeased or buy it know and ship it to me?
also were do you think it would be great I would buy one? at ebay.com or amazon.com? or from another site?

the sooner you buy it the better. (my opionion)

old software better than new. Hboot specifically
unless you are never gonna root it the just get a new one.
so if I would buy one now, I would might have the old version of the original rom from htc that I could root? because I want to root it, I actually use my XDA Touch 2 (HTC Topaz) with original rom from htc without branding, so I would love to root it......I thought htc has released opened bootloader for some android devices?
so what's you're idea? what shall I do know?

HTC did unlock boot loader, but from what I've read there are a few more obstacles with that method. Maybe i'm old school but I'd much rather rely on the guys from xda than HTC. HTC makes great phones but I prefer the software from hackers.

i dont know how much that is but i buy and sell the evo 3D here in USA for around $250-$300 US dollars . thats a used one with CDMA . not sure how that translates to euro or if the GSM is priced differently.
hm.....so my only option to get one is to buy one from there for the 450-600euros....ok, it's very expensive compared to cdma phone in usa so I have no option, thank you, will inform you here if I bought one

I've been playing around with making themes lately. Going to try to make a skin soon. Skins work on both gsm and cdma. Hopefully I'll have something for ya by the time you get your gsm phone.

Hi im upgrading from an Incite XD and im wondering if i should buy an Inspire or the Atrix.. this question is killing me and i dont have an answer yet :S so which one do you think can be the best choice ? i will use my phone to read many stuff in the internet but i dont know what is better for this... the inpsire big screen so i dont have to zoom in too much or the atrix qhd resolution ? also the inspire is cheaper but if the atrix worth it i could buy it and the last thing is that i like to customize my phone and being able to unlock it so i can use it in mexico i think that both can be unlocked but maybe im wrong so please what do you think is the best option for me ? thanks
I think what it comes down to is they are both excellent phones but you have to make a choice between the Atrix's locked bootloader but more or the Inspire's poor battery life.
Go to your AT&T store and play with both of the phones before you decide to purchase either one. Don't let a bunch of people you never met in your life decide for you.

the problem is that i am in mexico and here there are not at&t stores .
I just want to know one thing.. what do you guys think is better for surfing the internet and reading stuff inspire big screen or atrix big resolution ?

Hello! Just got myself a new HTC Titan! This is probably the best phone ever, and I love it! Only thing I need now, is for it too be dev unlocked.. Do anyone have a working method for it? And how come there's no forum for HTC Titan yet?

If you Need a DEV unlock, thats no Problem but I guess you mean a hackunlock, which isnt possible for free with new devices. Sorry for that

I suppose you might have to flash a custom pre-unlocked ROM specifically for the Titan, so hopefully this will show up soon.
Certainly it's not likely to be possible to dev-unlock a brand new phone (that comes with Mango preinstalled) without having to do a hard reset or flash a new ROM.
Um, WTF? It's totally possible... you just need an actual developer account. $100 from MS unless you're a student, in which case it's free from DreamSpark.
There will be an official dev-unlock available for a nominal fee (much less than the marketplace developer account) from ChevronWP7 Labs at some point, but it isn't available yet.

Donate a Radar to the guys @ the HTC HD2 forum n ask the devs to port some bootloader stuff (MAGLDR/CLK).. Should be possible but will take ages n will be tough, cuz there are no proprietary libs since ur phone came with WP7...

Here in the US we have something called CHOICE. He CHOSE to buy the phone with Windows Phone on it. He CHOSE to buy something other than what he wanted.

The Velocity is NOT a Radar
I like the smaller style , and coloring on the Radar as a pocket phone. I would also be interested in having one with Android on it, or finding the android replica, If there is one. I Looked up the Velocity after seeing that guys post saying it was the same phone, but what i found is not even close. I am still very interested in the Radar as something to play around with, look forward to watching this develop. If anything cool happens to the Radar it will happen here, You guys are the best at what you do! Thank you for making phones so much fun going all the way back to my poor crippled Wing.

Do a lot of people stick with the stock rom as their every day rom ?. I'm not about to ask which rom is best, don't worry
Is this phone easy to sim unlock yourself ?. I had a Galaxy S3 which was very easy to do myself, but i've been searching around and there doesn't appear to be any do-it-yourself method to unlock it. Obviously there are ebay solutions, but i don't really trust that method.
I can buy an unlocked one, but the difference in price between that and a network locked one is quite significant, so i'd rather do it myself if possible.
One point that kept cropping up in all the reviews I was reading last night was that it sometimes does run quite hot, so has anyone found this to be the case ?. I'm not a heavy user at all - primary use will be listening to music while i'm out with some web surfing and occasional gaming.
The reason i'm considering one over a Galaxy S3 is that I managed to drop the S3 down some stairs in my building and it shattered the screen, so i claimed on the insurance and i'm just waiting for the cheque

Sim unlocks can be done rather cheap through different websites for roughly $15 US (not sure how that converts out). I know there are a few listed in other threads so a search should net you that result. I know unlocking in the U.S. just became illegal so some of those sites may not be around anymore.
As far as heat I can only talk from experience on the AT&T model and I do not find it to be a major issues. I have heard of even less issues with heat on the international model.

Unlocking in the US didn't just become illegal. It's always been illegal, it's just the protection that covers unlocking phones has expired. There is no way a US network operator will go to the effort to prosecute individuals. And the protection will almost certainly be restored when the exemption rules for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act are reviewed in late 2013.

Hansoon on this forum sells unlock codes. Generally its seen as good forum etiquette to help the devs out by buying things like that off them, as oposed to giving your money to some faceless organisation.

That's good because the handset I had my eye on is actually locked to O2. The difference in price is £325 quid for a C Grade handset locked to O2, or £375 for a B Grade unlocked one - both from CEX. So it's a fair leap in cost as you can see.
Do you use the stock sense rom though ?

Can I ask you one last thing ?. I've read the guides about unlocking the bootloader and flashing, but would you say that flashing the S3 is simpler?
When i've done it in the past, it's just doing all the necessary wipes, flashing the rom and job done - the One X+ doesn't seem that simple, unless i'm missing something.

the X+ has one extra flash and that's the boot.img myself and a few others are working on a way to flash boot.img in recovery instead of in hboot/bootloader (yesterday i flashed a kernel in recovery, failed to boot the device though) Also i have no idea how you guys flash the S3 as i haven't used a Sammy device since the Samsung Galaxy Spica.

To flash the S3, I just used to put the rom file on the phone, boot to clockworkmod, do all the wipes and flash the rom and that's it.

Ano you guys have already prob discussed this approach. But when i had the SXL. A user called fardjab, discovered that the hboot partition was not protected by the security flag, he then modded a hboot to think it was S-off, and flashed it. Although the devices technically were still security locked, we got pretty much all the functionality of S-off.

Tell me about it .. really can't make my mind up. loved my S3 but I really like the build of the One X+ ..

BTW for any mods out there the picture for the main subpage for this phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2222) has the wrong picture--the AT&T one has a AT&T logo on the backside above the Beats branding. The one here doesn't.

They just had to slap that damn thing somewhere. The Sprint version doesn't seem to have a logo on the back, looks much nicer.
would it be wise for me to wait for the black version of this phone just to make sure they got all the "kinks" out?
I've been discouraged to buy htc phones when they first come out because they usually end up having some sort of issues..
last year i bought the htc one x at launch (full price too) and kept having off and on issues with wifi. I swapped it out a few times and ended up selling it at the end.
I was able to see both the SIV and HTC one in person. The build quality on the ONE impressed me. I will say though the phone was very warm when I held it. HTC one X all over again..
Part of me hates to admit it but knows that in the long run the SIV is a better investment..
Im waiting, but I dont know what to do yet. I want the black version, not the silver. Im going to buy off of contract so I will more than likely get the Developers edition... but who knows when or if they will have the black version in that. I want the phone now, but Im going to wait until the black is released...whenever that is.

I have been sitting on an upgrade since November last year - tried the One X+ but returned it due to the bluetooth issues. Now I have a trip coming up and need a phone before it, so I don't have a choice - silver it is. Oh well, they both look good, just prefer the black a little.
I'll wait for the black one hopefully it comes out on launch day. The silver one to me only looks good in the front but I can see all that silver in the back getting old real quick. I have had a few black phones in the past and after a year with the white S3 I miss the sexyness and classyness of a black phone. The stealth black on the ONE is definitely bringing sexy back!
If the black is available next Friday I will be very happy. However I ordered the silver 32GB in case it isn't. I don't anticipate an exchange to be a problem.
If it's silver, it's silver.
