WIFI to USB - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

I want to use my smartphone to give WIFI to my PC.
So i need a simple software that does WIFI to USB routing. (NOT USB TO WIFI)
Please suggest me a software that does this.
(I know wmwifirouter does this but 30$ is too expensive)

I suggest you to use WMWifiRouter, but as you said that is too much expensive.
You need to pay for what you want

try

HARDWARE keys that do WIFI to USB cost 5$.... No way i pay a software that does that 30$!
Is there a new HTC internet sharing that does WIFI to USB??

You might try ICS Control v2.1. I never had much luck with it, but you can try it yourself. It supports nearly every possible connection, and even says that it can do WiFi to USB.

I tried, that software is crap. I guess only the programmer knows how to use his complicated program.

Try Mobile Wi-Fi Router it lets you use your phone's internet connection as a WiFi hotspot.

Touch Pro as Modem Problem

I've been using USB Modem with my Sprint Touch Pro for the last week and I'm having a major problem with it.
When uploading images via FTP, after one or two jpg files are uploaded, the upstream speed diminishes to almost nothing. It does this every time without fail.
The workaround is just disconnecting and reconnecting, but that's a pain.
Anyone else having this problem? It seems like it's some sort of switch being tripped in the phone or by Sprint when it sees that a large amount of data is being uploaded...just a guess though.

Hi,
Strange problem, I don't know if this will solve your problem.
But you should definately try a programm called "wmrouter" (google...)
This will turn your TP in a wireless router, which is really easy to use.
greetings,
Wout
have you tried the registry hacks for tethering? there's a cab if you don't want to do it yourself, but perhaps it'll fix your problem. You can do a search on here or go here for other touch pro essentials as well: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42730
The edits are under "internet" on there. goodluck.

he's right. that app is great and also lets you connect your cpu wirelessly. only problem is that it drains your phone faster cause it uses wifi. but you won't have disconnections... you could try the registry hacks thread on that link i gave you first and if that doesn't work you should pay for wifi router or pdanet.
hey if you resolve this issue please update us on how u did it.. thanks
Wow, thanks for the help guys. Problem solved.
First off, USB Modem simply doesn't work right on the Touch Pro, so I'm uninstalling it. With the pre-installed Internet Sharing software, there's no need for USB Modem anyway and it cuts out the old step of having to dial #777 to connect.
Thanks for the suggestion Unflushablelog. I downloaded and installed the Internet Sharing tethering hack cab file, fired up Internet sharing and blam, full Rev A speed and no diminished upload speed and best of all, no #777 dial up. Awesome. Better solution than I could have hoped for.
As for WMWifiRouter, I'm sure that would work too but I prefer the USB tether.

i think only the phone as a modem add on to the plan covers tethering... but that's why people use that registry fix... to make sure it uses the sprint line (which is what simply everything uses - regular unlimited data). we should be getting billed for it, but we don't. just try not to spend a lot of time tethering and you'll be fine (basically you don't want to raise any flags by having abnormal data charges on your account cause then sprint might look into it)... people have been doing this for years and that's always their recommendation.. i've never heard anyone say don't do it. it's something that sprint tries to capitalize on by selling an unnecessary extra when it should be free, whether you have the simply everything plan or just the regular power vision with internet
Unflushable could you provide some more info about this reg fix please?

[Q] please help me on this, i am going to buy this mobile tomarrow

Hi all,
I am noob in this, and I want to buy LG O1. I have used nokia n72 for past 4 years.
My simple question is, I have bluetooth dongle, Can I connect LG O1 to my pc as modem and use it with 3g speed?
Also Can I do the same with USB cable?
Please help me on this. I searched a lot on google but failed to find any help. All I want to do is, I want to connect my mobile to PC, so that I can use It as a Modem.
Waiting eagerly for your responses.
Yes. It has built-in USB Tethering.
Also, Please tell me how I can do that? I dont know anything....
please.. I really want to know this.
Plug in USB Cable then go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Tethering & portable hotspot -> and tick USB tethering.
That's all.

Thanks so much for that SUPER QUICK reply. Is it comes with built in pc suit or something like that?, or I have to install drivers from internet?
And are there any problems with speed ? I read somewhere that speed dont get more than 3kbps when used as modem.. is that true?
I know i am asking much questions.. but I really wanna know this, as this will be my first android mobile..
It has all drivers built-in. You just have to plug it, wait for the drivers to install and then enjoy.
I've used it several times, absolutely no problems regarding speed.

thanks you again for all the help you are giving in. Two final questions.
1>Is usb tethering is dependable?
2>what is the maximum 3G speed you get ?
I don't understand what you want to know in first question.
The maximum speed is related to what your provider can give. If it handles HSDPA you get HSDPA speeds.

Any way to do "internet passthrough" (reverse tethering)?

Don't have WiFi where I am, but I do have internet on my computer, is there any way to hook up my phone via USB and use my computer's connection on my Note?
Buy a cheap wifu router, and add wifi to whatever hard connection u have, unless u have a USB cell modem on ur PC. Even then thay make routers for types as well...
I don't have any use for this, but being a network engineer, I was curious about it. A quick google came up with this, which you might be able to at least use as a starting point...

I'll have WiFi later today, I'll just wait.

[Q] Tether DNA's WiFi connection to USB

So, I'm moving. And my PC doesn't have a WiFi card in it for the time being. Ethernet is out of the question.
I have an unlimited Verizon 4g plan... but I heard they don't let you tether for free anymore over their network with unlimited. (I can use WiFi root tether, but that's beside the point.)
I've tried using the Settings => Usb Tethering option, but stock sense doesn't let you tether without a 4g connection enabled.
Any ideas? (Preferably something without dumb limitations, like no https etc, but beggars can't be choosers.)
Thanks!
-Frankie

I use fox fi and with the pdanet application on the pc you can fake your image hiding your tethering, doing it the way the guy above states does not work on stock anymore normally and would certainty show your usage. on pdanet just use stage two usage hiding uh is hard to explain and I'm on my phone I'll update my post in like 10 minutes showing what I mean with pictures on my pc K.

Thanks mate. I didn't know PDA used my phones WiFi. Thought it only worked with 3g.
Doesn't the program not let you use https and stuff?

Definitely works and will do the trick for now. Thanks man.
The free version kind of blows... I go through the allotted data in like a minute.
Do you notice pretty low speeds, or connection drops when the phone goes to sleep? Do you know if I need to keep it always screen on or something? Or is this the level 2 screening?
Wish there was a way to do this natively without having to do all this, but will work in a pinch. Thanks!
it works by using a advanced proxy type thing( its complicated) but i notice no difference with it on level 2 and none and witht he phone off i do have a fox fi key though since i use it for work a lot. with the free version i did notice it was slower but i had that version so long ago they had it where it was unlimited but only 180KB/s so it was slow regardless, this was a OG droid so long time ago. its still cheaper than getting hard line lol and an one time only payment, i used to have issues on windows 8 but their newest pdanet client for desktop fixed those. i get around 20mbps in the field generally when working.
hope this helps explain some things.

Thanks bud, yeah it helps. I'll probably end up buying it eventually... WiFi Tether [Root] works fine for WiFi, but for some reason FoxFi scares me. I feel verizon will strip my unlimited away from me while using FoxFi. Not sure why I feel safer using the WiFi root tether app though.
they should be able to tell your tethering with a normal non proxied app. In reality though they can allways tell if they cared but unless your use more than like 6 GB idk they would care if your plan is expensive enough lol.
Yeah, I wish there was another way than pdanet to do it. Wish there was a way to tell if the speeds are just my phone or the free pdanet version.
how low are the speeds on speedtest.net on pc vs on the app on the phone, mine are almost same.
I was.... "Testing" the download speeds through pdanet. Its about 1000Kbs slower through pdanet.

wifi broken - has anyone already replaced the wifi chipset?

Hi,
I'm not able to activate wifi anymore (even after a full Odin restoration) on my SM-T820. So I guess the wifi chipset is dead. Is anyone here has to changed it?

Is Bluetooth working?
This is a 2nd hand tab that I got at low price one because BT wasn't working (wifi was working flawless)
I didn't care because I don't need BT but now, I find out it was the same chipset for both and realize I should have been more careful.

So neither works.
Pretty much out of luck unless your prepared to use a mobile data dongle or a usb ethernet adapter.
Unless you're skilled at smd and bga removal then repair us pretty much out of the question.

Perhaps there are some USB-C wifi dongle somewhere, It's mostly for a home usage. I will check. It would be a good way to extend my tab's life without reducing my wallet's one !

I doubt there's anything specific due to drivers being an issue.
You may get lucky if you find out which chipset the tablet uses then try and find a dongle that has the same chipset.
You would need to connect it via OTG.
Won't be easy

Have you considered a Bluetooth dongle via OTG? Certain dongles may work.
Here in the states we have https://www.ubreakifix.com/ so you may see if there is some similar service near you.
I asked for repair quotation and it's around 120 euros. Still searching for a compatible BT or Wifi Dongle
