Deluo BT GPS connection - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Accessories

Hello !
I'm facing problems to connect my Wizard (Hornet Manilla ROM) with Deluo BT GPS.
Is there any relation with the profiles ?
Can it be related with the radio version ?
Wizard recognize the GPS on BT tab, but when I start the navigator software, they loose the connection.
Is there anything I can do ?

Cássio

Help - Calling anyone who uses a TomTom Go 910/710/510 with their Hermes

I have a TomTom Go 910 and an M3100 running WM6.
I have been using the hands-free BT connection with no problem.
However, I recently tried to set up a data connection to access TomTom Plus services through the phone over BT, and the setup routine fails every time. (I have no problem connecting to the internet over WAP from the phone in general).
Of course, TomTom support refuse to help, telling me that the phone is not supported for the 910. According to them I should not even be able to use the hands-free feature...
Before I go spending hours trying different ROMs and BT stacks etc., does anyone out there have the same setup (even with a 710 or 510) and got it to work? (No point wasting time if they are simply not compatible and no one has actually got it to work).
Thanks for your help
My very basic guess is that you need to use the Internet Connection Sharing program on windows mobile, as just paring the devices won't do anything.
So I guess I fire ICS up and and choose Bluetooth PAN and then try to see if TomTom sees it.?
I'll try tonight and report back.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Let us know how it goes. But isn't WM6 lacking either PAN or DUN that's required to establish the connection?
No luck using ICS

Well, I tried it... no luck. TomTom still insists on going through a DUN setup routine (entering access point, GPRS dial-up number, etc.) and promptly fails both with automatic and manual setup. It does not detect the PAN already running with ICS connected.
I wonder if DUN can be ported back to WM6 with CABs from WM5?
Any other ideas?

DUN and BT DUN profile for Athena?

Is a well known problem since WM5 AKU 3.0, DUN disappeared (Dial Up Network, using WM as remote modem, via Activesync or BT)
Any TOM TOM Go and TOM TOM One, (not used by ATHENA users, we have our GPS) need IT to be connected with the PDA. In some cases DUN could be usefull also for Athena users, but it was removed from latest WM5 and WM6 Rom (the majority of Nokia and Sony smartphones have it)
Now someone here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1351044&postcount=21 posted the .cab to restore it on a TyTN.
Sleuth put it on his new rom, I've tested on my X7500 (HTC WM6 rom) and I am having some config problem on the USB side...
My be it could be interesting also for some ATHENA user
tried on my touch and tried to dial from my athena with *99# and didnt work..
Maybe I'm missing something, but why don't you set up a modem in Settings > Connections > Connections > Tasks > Add a new modem connection? Just need an APN, user name and password, which vary depending on your ISP (I have AT&T). Modem string and *99# no longer necessary.
If you want to use your Athena as a modem for your laptop, either through a USB or Bluetooth connection, just use Internet Sharing under Programs.
im trying to share between ppc to ppc ...
hy,
I cannot connect athena100 to tomtom go910.
I upgrades WM5 to WM6, I installes BT_DUN, tries several ways, but it doesn't work, I always got a message of DUN-connection problem;
I managed perfectly well on touch, but I have no succes with atnena100;
could you help me?
I'd say use wmwifirouter for this. It will work perfectly for internet sharing with about anything around you over usb BT or wifi
Thank you Astain, but I need a DUN-connection because TomTom does not use ICS.
Do you have a solution for that?

GPS Gateway

Hello,
Is anyone know how to turn the Titan into a GPS gateway?
I found that the screen on the Titan is very small. I happens to have an iPAQ with bigger screen. I want to use the iPAQ as a GPS.
The problem is, I have loaded the GPS program on the iPAQ but was unable to obtain a Com port connection using the BT from the Titan.
Thanks
I believe gpsGate will do the trick for you.
http://gpsgate.com/index.php?id=14
Thanks for the quick reply.
I have downloaded and trying to configure.
I have no luck of getting the Titan to share the GPS over the BT connection.
Anyone know if there is any way?
Thanks

Getting the DUN profile back into Athena WM6 ROMs

Hello,
I am currently trying both http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1351044&postcount=21 oand the description on http://thinkabdul.com/2007/09/22/ha...ng-dun-profile-on-windows-mobile-6-pocket-pc/ to get the DUN profile to work on my official HTC WM6 ROM (German) on the X7500, however, the DUN profile does not show up whatever I tried.
From what I researched, the bthatci.dll has a hardcoded reference to COMx: (where x comes from HKLM/Software/Microsoft/BTHATCI), but HKLM/ExtModems/bluetooth_dun points to BSP3: (BSP=board support package? function not implemented?). However, I cannot patch bthatci.dll because it is digitally signed by MS and I cannot get it to install via a self-made cab.
The BT DUN profile is important to me because the TomTom Rider motorcycle satnav system cannot use the PAN profile (network sharing).
Anyone able to help?
Greetings,
Andreas
did you find the solution, i'm also trying to find a solution for this
Hi!
The latest version of WMWiFiRouter (1.51) has this functionality (as well as many other futures). Not only it can share 3G\HSDPA connection over Bluetooth, it can even share USB connection over WiFi
WBR, Draco.
Thank you Drakosha, but this uses ICS I think, and the problem is that TomTom Go uses only DUN !!
I tried this WMWIFI, but it didn't work.
Or do I have to uninstall the BT_DUN?
I'm confused ...

StrTrk does not find Bluetooth GPS Receiver

Hi,
I installed Erofich´s WM 6.1 Pro ROM V2 and I also installed TomTom.
Everything is working except the Bluetooth GPS Receiver.
Both devices (Receiver and Phone) are on and visible but the Telephone can not find the GPS Receiver.
The Receiver is working perfectly with my Diamond but not with the 8500.
Can anyone help me with that? (I read something about an extra external gps applet)
Regards,
sapphire_pro
i have the same rom and i use my gps reciver with route 66 and it works fine. try turning bluetooth on before you launch tomtom. and do not let the program itself to turn in on..
Yeah you are right but at first I have to pair the Receiver with the Phone (Add Device) and this is the point that is not working.
Didnt you paired your Receiver with the Phone first?
no. i did not pair it. as long as it is working, no problem
I use TomTom on the Standard version and the program pair the devices by it self as mentioned before... Just launch TomTom and it will set automaticaly, if not, do it manually. Go to the GPS Configure screen in TomTom following this steps:
Main Menu>Change preferences>next>next>next>Show GPS status>Configure
Hope it solves your problem...
Maybe...
.... this helps:
got exactly the same prob.
difference between wm5.2/6.1:
you may need to manually configure a outgoing serial port for your bt-gprs connection as follows:
Start/Settings/Connections/Bluetooth/Bluetooth/
Select Your BT-GPS
Next
check "Serial Port"
Now Your back to the BT-Device Menu:
Menu/Com Ports/Menu/New Outgoing Port/Select BT-GPS/Select Com"X"/Done
Now go to TomTom's GPS Settings an select your Com"X"
This should do.
Good Luck!
ps.
devices need to be successfully paired first, of course
