[Q] how to disable 3g? go with hsdpa or nothing?

3g is useless and so slow i can't be bothered using it.
can i do this? remove the option for the phone to use 3g/2g and only connect to hsdpa or whatever?
When you have data enabled it idles at the 3g setting, once you start surfing or downloading it switches to hsdpa. So no you can't disable 3g and only use hsdpa.
at times it desn't go to hsdpa and only stick on 3g when i browse meaning i can't browse
i'd rather just make it hspda or nothing
So stupid. You will get HSDPA depending on your coverage. Not every area allows you to use HSDPA..

I do not want 3G signal, i only want H

Hi there,
i have a question related to internet speed
In setting there is 3 options for choosing internet data
- 2G only
- 3G only
- automatic
in my countries 2G is horribly slow
When i access to internet i change to ''3G only'' but the signals i receive can be 3G or H, i only want ''H'' signal not 3G because 3G is still slow for normal surfing!!!
how can i change to ''H'' only?
I have been watching for my 3G/H icon in CM7 and it seems Atrix uses 3G only for standby (maybe 3G mode drains less energy), when data starts to transfer it automatically switches to HSDPA mode. So you don't need to change it to HSDPA manually

Your phone should jump to HSPA if it is available, or else it will use UTMS.
Flash the latest radio. After that I can switch networks as I want.
You can not just change to H. Speed depends of coverage in your area. Phone will use the best and fastest available speed/network. You can force 3G but then with just 2G coverage your phone will be off line.

That's right. I can use just edge and it works just fine. 3g is not the best in my area. You cannot force H. Correct.
Depending on your Rom, when it says 3g, it will be because you're not using data at the time. Then when you're using data it switches to H. I say depending on Rom because for example, I'm running Alien, and it says H all the time.

how to set network mode for only hSPA on GPE

I have a one converted to GPE and where I live I get great LTE coverage. However at work its weak and my one is constantly switching between LTE and hspa.
How would I set my phone to only connect to hspa while at work to avoid the constant switching? In setting under network mode there is only options for LTE 3g and 2g.
Does 3g include hspa and if not I've read about a code to enter from dialpad that allows u to set netowkr. I need a method that will allow me to easily switch it depending on where I am.
If anyone knows how to do this any help would be great.

How to fix network data?

My Moto E always seem to prefer using 2G even if I have selected 3G as prefered. It is very annoying as I want to use data over 3G but can never switch to 3G.
On my Samsung Tab 2, my ROM gives me option to explicitly use 3G network(not prefered) but there I have another annoyance that it prefers UMTS or HSPA. Unfortunately, my area only serves data on HSPAP. How to latch on H+ only?
I tried going to the *#*#301279#*#* menu and clicked on HSDPA only. But nothing happens still on EDGE/UTMS in both cases.

app that will switch my network to 2g automatically when I'm connected to wifi

I have poor reception where I live and I've heard switching to 2g helps with that. But I don't want to be switching to 4g when I go out and changing to 2g when I get home.
