[REQ] Disable 'SMS Sent' notification - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since flashing to Duttys HG v1.0 ROM there's a gay 'sms sent' icon that pops up. I'm assuming it's a 'feature' of 2.10 but can anyone get it disabled??

And what makes it gay?

I dont think advanced config will cure this. These registries are a lot different to when that app was made. Mind you I haven't tried it yet.

bump for this...
I know I've seen a thread/CAB to do this but can't for the life of me find the post - think it was johncmoleneux or mskip that posted it...

I'm on the same rom as yourself and that reg is already set to disable. However the notification is still there (in the taskbar) when a message is sent. Is that not the same for you?

just checked my reg before adding your cab and it's already set to 1 and it still shows the icon on the taskbar - changed to 0 and still there...same as dizzle

I just read some post in a thread at htcpedia, where someone suggests to install the latest sms hotfix from HTC and it solves this "problem" (it's caused by htcmessaging ...)
note: some people over at htcpedia tried to this and had to make a hard reset, because Sense wouldn't start afterwards...
Grtz,
Degake

Found the thread i was after, apparently downgrading the HTC messaging file stops the issue but the build version is already i use in Duttys ROM so not sure what's going on. Miri's ROM doesn't have the issue so must be something that can be done!!

Did You find a solution for that annoying alert?
I'm looking for around Mr.G, but seems to be the same answer around the World regarding key reg SMSNoSentMsg,
of course, this value change the explicit msg box in front of the display but keeps in my Dutty Rom the notification alert on Top as notification...
It's a quite frustrating this, also because depends on HTC Messaging...

sorry, im not sure if this has been done
but isnt the SMS sent the "Request delivery report" under the SMS settings?
So...SMS > All messages > Menu > Settings > SMS (Request Delivery Report) > Uncheck
Or is this something completely different?

No, SMS Delivery report is completely different to SMS sent notification.

Well another bump to this thread :
I am having the same issue as well and looking for a fix

[WM6.1] Green skins REDESIGNED!

The new WM6.1 theme used in many "clean" ROM versions is Green with a Twist. But unfortunally not all apps are skinned to match.
So, I like my prophet to look neat&tidy and I took the liberty to reskin a few of the standard apps.
5 may 2008:
Edited the WMP11.cab and Calculator.cab a bit, so they will install on the (new) Cloudyfa clean-ROM.
Didn't tested them on other ROM's though... please report if it gives you problems!
1 may 2008:
I did plublish this set some time ago, but I was never completely satisfied with the results. With some spare time left, I redesigned all of them.
Main differences are:
* All buttons have better glow-effects, especially when pushed down.
* Dialer: buttons don't show any artefacts anymore on the borders.
* Calculator: completely "greened", new display.
* Comm Manager: crispier buttons
* WMP: based on another skin, matching WMP 11 desktop edition. This skin leaves out unused buttons and is better to use without a stylus.
good job rondol..
"repaired" the dialer-cab and added the calculator.
nice!!
downloading now..........
good job my friend Rondol
Added Comm Manager, finally found out how to make it install using a cab-file!
Fine-tuned Dialer: now Speed Dial and Call History are greenished too!
can you fix the dailer cab please
nice work btw
im not able to install the comm. cab file, it says something about 'the program cannot be installed because it does not have sufficent system permission'
im using korand's 3.1 rom

This error is because you have the old Comm Manager still running. Please close it first using Task Manager.
About your question concerning the Dialer: what is wrong with it? When I tested the cab it was working fine... Remember you have to restart to see the change.

Battery power remaining

Hello,
When I used to check the battery status on my previous pda, complementary to the green bar there was always the value in percentage. But with Touch Pro, I only get to see the green bar without the remaining percentage value. Does anyone know if it's possible to display that info??
I just notice that I made a mistake and posted this thread on the Raphael Rom development instead of puting in the main Raphael rom. If someone could move this thread it would be great.
try to use green battery or any other additional software
Regards
B.
Use a program called batti, puts a tiny bar at the top of your screen displaying power level and when you tap it, it give precise details on battery levels
I use this one... looks pretty neat:

Hmm, I installed the FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly.cab and now instead of the battery icon I have permanently the "connected to the power" icon. Even when I disconnect it from the power the icon remains the same.
On top of that, supposedly this cab would only change the battery icon, but instead also change the Gprs icon...

Appologies, its part of Resco Explorer. Didn't realise that is was not part of WM6.1 as i've always had Resco installed.
Yup I tried that same FInixNOver Battery Icon only cab and instead of changing by battery icon it only changed my gprs and edge icons... something I didn't want....

[ROM][WWE][March 9][21028] ** EnergyROM 2.2 Beta ** with new Rhodium Manila

This ROM is based on the 21028 core, but with all the new goodies from the newly announced Rhodium device. The new Manila interface, new HTC menus, new notifications system. Most bugs are known, so don't report them in thread anymore. This is more of a test version to get a preview of the new Rhodium Manila, xboxmod is working on. He was kind of enough to release the new updated and resized Manila files to be used in this ROM and beta test. Thank you.
Changelog for 2.2 beta:
- Using a new XIP and SYS core 21028 generously provided by Arrupenthal
Changelog for 2.1 beta:
- Alarm clock on Manila issue fixed
- Pictures tab resized
- Audio tab resized
- Scrolling in Settings tab fixed
- Scrolling in Arrange Tabs fixed
- New Internet Tab with built in Google search feature and "Push Internet"
- New Rhodium Menu Enhancement
- Fixed Album full screen menu issue
- New Rhodium Comm Manager
- LOTS more Rhodium OEM packages
Known Bugs:
- Some Manila tabs and pages aren't resized yet.
- You can't make calls from the People tab using the shortcuts under the pictures.
- Facebook upload picture in the Album might not work
- YouTube might not play sound, but will display video.
- Adding bookmarks in the Internet tab doesn't work.
- Facebook status in Contacts doesn't work.
A few more that I will post later.
Screenshots:
So the agps stuff from the leaked fuze ROM isn't included?
Either way, it seems like the upgrade is more than worth it (if not somewhat necessary).
Thx!

With all these fixes, Im super excited to see what this rom can do. NRG could you maybe post on the first thread issues yet to be dealt with? I know this is a beta but I would like to have an idea of where we are.
man, I need to get a life
How sad is it that I'm sitting here clicking the 'Refresh' button every 20 seconds, hoping that a download link magically appears in the OP?
@NRG
Being as though the 'bugs are known' with the Rhodium Manila port, and it still being incomplete, is there anything that we actually should report? I think most of us are aware of the issues with the 21018 build (ActiveSync, specifically), but in order for the thread to be as useful/helpful as possible, I thought I'd ask, in order to keep the useless posts and flaming to a minimum.
In 2.0 and 1.5 I have been unable to assign "Programs" tab to the right softkey. Previously I've used TouchPro Tweak or SecondToday to do this, but it won't save the change in these new rom versions. Any workaround for this?

Hi, I'm using the 2.0 beta and loving it. Great job on getting so many niggles out with this build.
Cheeky request: I really don't like the taskbar items. I feel like they kinda detract from the clean look of the device. Is there a way I can get rid of them? I found the taskbar thread and can restore most of them to normal HTC/WM icons using DLL's, but some of them still stay colourfull. I can't find replacement DLL's for things like A2DP/SMS icons.
Cheers

If you guys don't mind some registry editing, grab yourselves Mobile Registry Editor (or just use total command), and check "HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila" and maybe "HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila." You'll see loads of stuff there you can try.
For example, if you want to assign the right softkey to Programs tab, you'd change the value of "HomeRSKPath" to "Manila://programs.page" and "HomeRSKText" to "Programs." I personally have it set to "Manila://weather.page" since I don't use the programs tab (check out wktask that has a really useful launcher that pops up when you swipe down the top right corner).
And there's all tabs background cab for the new manila somewhere in the previous thread.

Hide Vibration Icon Mod for XXKI4

I know that the forum is a version for KI3 but I checked and didn't work.

You have enough posts now to either post in the jkay thread regarding this issue and the same goes for Checkrom thread. I personally do not care if the vibration icon is there. Yes its annoying but blame samsung for the update that brought this.
i did try the jkay settings and for me it did not work. but you are best to find your answer there.
(i know my post is not helpful but it a sensible one were giving you pointers in were to actual post your question than opening a thread)
either way hope you solve your problem

System settings, date and time, uncheck automatic date and time, set manual time. For french, go in "Language and input"?
No, I misspoke,
I would just shift the clock that is in the center, and put it right.
And I would change the language of apk phone remains in English.
