Don't believe everything you see on ebay.

Yes but it seems to work. If you read the sellers valuations, than you'll notice, that some people bought it and say that it is "As described".
So it seems to work. Maybe he got a debranded Rom.
But why don't you ask him via email? Maybe he can tell us something that we don't know

I believe is genuine. I've been in contact with this seller previously by email as he has been selling debranded TG01s for some time. The source I believe was from Switzerland. He advised that he has the stock Toshiba ROM and was willing to do a de-brand by sending in the phone, but is explicitly not willing to supply a copy of the source file.

Oo yes I remember now. Debranded Rom is the Italian one just need to translate it.

This sounds very good news

Well and truly overtaken by events. There are a number of ROMs on XDA under the development thread which range from a debranded WM6.5 through WM6.5.3 and 6.5.5 versions.

Hi,
does anyone know if this was available for download allready?
The website says that it is temporarely unavailable.
Was that available in the past?
Its the german O2 Rom for XDA2.
regards,
Silver
Forget this download it's awful....
Very unstable, Cleartype problems, nothing better only worse..
I guess it is removed because of th homezone problems
Alex
O2 Rom
I do not care a lot on the homezone since my entire town is one.
But my XDA 2 hangs some times...
My ROm is older then this.
Does anybody have this?

Hi,
are you referring to this link http://www.o2online.de/o2/kunden/technikundeinst/xdasoftware/xda2update/index.html ? The statement O2 posted there about the non availability has been up for at least 4 weeks! I have never seen it being available and I did check just about daily.
I had a replacement Xda II with 1.66.01GER delivered which worked fine. I did not notice any differences between the previous Xda II with 1.60.52GER installed and the 1.66.01GER.
Cheers
O2 rom
is there another source for a newer german rom for the XDA2?

Silver

Hi,
I have not used it myself, but I have read from lots of people that it is quite simple and that it works!

It was really easy.

Rogers Canada doesn't even sell a Hermes Device, you need to figure out what kind of device you have and then see if there is a forum for it.
yes they do check the website http://www.shoprogers.com/business/...BPRB7CKGVECV4DAK5&PRODUCTID=TYTNREN&summary=1
GUESS WHAT N00b 1.40.30.00 is not a ROM but a radio .nb so why dont you go read the wiki before you ask foolish questions and make a fool out yourself on this forum or end up bricking your device!!!! better yet just ship me your hermes and i'll take good care of it unlike you !!!!!!!!

They just came out with one then, I was in Rogers 2 weeks ago and they had no idea what I was talking about.
I have to agree with austinsync, you have days of reading ahead of you before you should be doing anything unless you prefer to try and make calls with a paper weight.
Thanks for the info re:rogers having HTC hermes.

Where to find German Qtek 8500 LIDL-Stock-ROM and some other questions

I recently purchased a Qtek 8500 at a my local LIDL in Germany.
This one comes with ROM-Version 3.6.251.1 that I have not found anywhere so far.
While Brightpoint officially supports this cellphone its IMEI won't let me register at myqtek.com (or any other support website for HTC products for that matter). According to Brightpoint's telephone support (which accepts the IMEI just fine) there is no need to access that website since my phone already comes with the latest ROM.
I would love to try out the fantastic WM 6.1 ROMs that were posted in this forum but without the stock-ROM this feels too much of a one-way-street. Without the possibility of going back to 3.6.251.1 I feel like I would just throw my 2 year warranty out of the window.
Has anyone seen this ROM or knows how to obtain it?
A few related questions:
What would be the best backup solution for Windows Mobile so I won't lose the things that are not synced with Outlook (like short messages etc.)?
Where would I be able to find German localization and German t9 for the Windows Mobile 6.1 ROMs?
Are there any significant drawbacks in upgrading to WM 6.1? Like reduced battery runtime or broken features that worked fine in WM 5?
Final question:
erofinch/pArtizAn's ROM or GnatGoSplat's? What would be recommended?

That's easy: There is none at this time. I guess you will be able to find information in this forum if there is one available.

Really, I was under the impression that the latest official update on those websites was 3.6.251.0.
I'll try to register with your IMEI trick and if that doesn't work, hopefully you could upload your download for me?
EDIT: I just saw your updated post, thank you so much for that link, that helped me a LOT!

I can live perfectly fine without German localization but no German t9 would be kind of a deal-breaker ...

Nope, that didn't work, neither for Brightpoint nor for Daangard. Well, at least your link worked fine and it seems to be identical to my Brightpoint stock-ROM - at least on first sight.

I think it IS a very useful link. It's the first link I've seen that leads you to a cab of the BAS. And what difference does it make if it is cooked in a ROM or just installed as a cab? It should still work all the same. It's not like you are going to notice any difference in speed with it cooked in..

I was just trying to figure out what the OP means with his one line question... Maybe he wants a ROM with only BAS as 'main' OS, just like Android as 'main' OS such as these thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=615560&highlight=android
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625484&highlight=android
It's interesting, although BAS requires BES service to run...
gosh thats cool...any chances it might run on elfin? since i've tried the application suite on elfin. Managed to run BB connect on elfin, but they don't have the BB Messenger. thats the only thing i looked for from the BB...
i got stucked with the msg like "rom htc-elf" is not supported." or kind of sumthing like that.... i was using onyx 6 at that momment.
sorry if that sound very noob question...i am still noob however. asking wont hurt tho
