volmue-key, vibrate, mute problem - Omnia II ROM Development

Hello, I am developing an application in native C++ with Windows Mobile SDK 6 for Samsung Omnia II GT-I8000. I have to use my own UI engine in the appliacation, and I want to inform the user about the volume level with an appearing progressbar. There is no problem if I change the volume level with a short press of the hardware key, the WM_KEYUP/WM_KEYDOWN windows messages are sent by the core, so I can detect them. But if I do a long press for decreasing the volume, the device changes its behaviour to vibrate or mute. There are NO windows messages sent in this case. Is there any solution to detect the volmue level (sound settings, voice/vibrate/mute) state changes? I do not want to poll the values in registy or call other apis frequently for that detection. So if there is any other solution, please inform me. Any help would be appreciated.
The OS version of the used device: Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional CE OS 5.2.21872 (Build 21872.5.0.71)
Used development IDE: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Thanks in advance.

Software Conversion

I regularly use a software to fill out forms at work on my PC, but the software is not made for my Pocket PC. Is there anywhere that can convert the software I use to enable me to install it on my Pocket PC????
Hi ... From my old programming experiece, unless this software has some OS-related features, all you have to do is to get the source code and make some layout modification (to fit within the XDA screen) and then compile it on the SDK for Mobile Windows from Microsoft.
I know it sounds easy but it's NOT .... many aspects are different when you design for full PC environment than it's for WIN CE for example (RAM requirements for example).
Anyway, good luck if you are gonna try it

Hi all,.
I've been set a project to design a basic application for our powerwall (28 connected high res monitors) and design an android application to control the powerwall through the android phone.
Im told the powerwall must use OpenGL..what does this exactly mean?
Can anyone run me through the stages ill need to go through and how i would get my andorid application to talk to the linux pc?
More details of the system or implementation can be provided if you need it.
Any help big or small would be amazing.

I think best way is to learn anything about Android Studio is via Android.com developers training section. I am a CS student and I have just started it. It is pretty useful and there are answers for all basic queries. Next stop is stackoverflow if you do not find answer there.
