1750 mAh battery - Hero, G2 Touch Accessories

Has anyone tried it? It's supposed to fit into the same space of the original battery, this one just has 400 more mAh in it, which is roughly 30% more. Quite a lot, if you ask me. I only know of one of these batteries: http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BASI17HTP2&Show=TechSpecs . Do any of you guys know of other, perhaps cheaper, but similar batteries? I would like to hear how this battery is from a fellow xda member.

If you get roughly, 9000.01 potatoes, and put a zinc nail in it, and a copper nail in it, then wire the nails to terminals, put all the potatoes in parallel and connect the terminals to the phone.
This works for me, give it a go.

wow thats expensive, i got one from ebay for £6
it works well, gives about 20% longer battery life
worth it i think

Thanks a lot man I think I'm gonna buy this. Are you absolutely sure that it is 1700 mah and it isn't fake?
Sent from my HTC Hero using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk

nah cant say for certain its 1700 mah but its definetely better than the original battery, gives an extra few hours of battery life
worth the money... one thing though
its coming from china so it takes around 2 weeks to arrive

How's your mileage with lemons?

not worth it check it out here, this guy reviewed like every battery
http://batteryboss.org/
you'll see it only scored a "1383mAh" rating in reality
OEM batteries seem to be the only way to go, and if you want to save money then go for the super cheapo 1500mAh one's since they are about as good as the others but REALLY cheap.

Biggest Battery Capacity in Stock Size?

I'm wonder if there is any batteries out there that you have seen from a brand you trust that use the stock diamentions as the stock battery, eg doesn't require extended back casing, only one I know of is the Seidio's 1400mAh, is there anything higher? Better brand, better price?
the only ones i've seen bigger have the extended batteries. they go up to 2600mAh.
buy one. believe me. its worth the big back/ugly bump.
function>aesthetics anyday(at least for me)
I already have one 2600mAh from Seidio, I do enjoy the extra grip when qwerty typing but I don't enjoy it in my pocket. Thus the reason I'm asking, rather get 2 x 1400mAh batts and shove one in my wallet if you know what I mean
i feel the exact opposite. i dont mind it as much when im not using it. when im holding it i cant stand it. but i do like the fact i dont have to keep a charger handy all the time. i know theres a couple normal size batteries around that SAY there 1600mAh and up but there kind of shaky to me. no brand name, barely even a name at all half the time. i wont trust anything besides seidio for extended life, i have a seidio 3400mAh i think in my tilt and its EPIC.

so it seems like it may not be entirely beneficial to get the 1600(or 1700) mah battery?
Keep in mind that only HTC original batteries have the finest "part" in switching into tickle charge mode (the moment when the battery gets full and quits charging)
2600 mAh battery on G1
Hey guys, so I purchased a 2600 mAh battery for my G1. I LOVE it! My G1 stays on for days! Despite having the extended back on the phone I think it was well worth it.I got it on EBay for pretty darn cheap too. Anyways...I don't have any screen shots of it as of right now but I'll try to get some up. My phone does look like a brick but the battery life is improved so much! Look them up on EBay if you would like to buy one, anywhere else is probably a rip off. Anyways...just thought I'd give my two cents. Take it easy guys! TTYL!
I really want the Seidio 2600 but I've gotten attached to my hard case, it has the hinged feet, and I'm not sure that 1400 would be worth the cash for the amount gained IMO... If Seidio made a hard case with the feet on the back it would be perfect.
Just bought a seidio 2600, 51 shipped from amazon. It's a little high compaired to the 2300 for like 30 or so from ebay, but I think it's worth it for a good branded 3rd party accessory.

people have been talking about a 1600mah battery made by Andida, a Hong Kong-based company. from what it seems, they make quality batteries and some people at XDA have them. it fits into the regular G1 back... it's on ebay: obo_hk or something. $10. otherwise yeah the 2600mah seidio's are best. i just bought the seidio or would switch to the Andida. maybe my dad will let me do a return since the Seidio was bought on Amazon

why some eBay generic batteries suck...

So I recieved one of those ebay generic batteries with the Black and white leabel yesterday.
it was marked 2600 mAh rating.
I peeled back the label to see whats underneath. Much to my surprise there was no casing! Its just a thin plastic frame around the outside. The cell inside did not even take up all the space. there was 1/8" X 1" thick strip of foam along the length.
I'm not gonna rip open my OEM battery but damn...I'm sure the Samsung isnt like that!
So after a full charge, the battery life was pretty dismal. 2 hrs of light use, no games, brought it down to 60%. then i went to sleep. in the morning it dropped to 33%. from that point i went down to zero after 1 hr of web browsing, sitting on my desk.
i'll upload pics later
EDIT: just slapped in the 2nd fully charged battery. its down to 87%. i took like 3 photos and nothing else. FAIL
not all generic batteries are suck!
i bet your generic battery is lighter in weight?
Anker battery weight the same as oem samsung battery.
i havnt used oem samsung battery after i got my Anker batteries.
I should specify ebay ones. Yeah i ordered a pair of ankers and a charger this morning. I however did see some nice looking battery cases with 3500mAh ratings, kind of like an external sleeve/backing.
however this makes the phone even longer and thicker, but not as gross looking as the 5000mAh double sized batteries. sadly, they are in the $45 range
EDIT: like this
http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/...laxy-Note-i9220-GT-N7000-Galaxy-Note-LTE.html
i wouldn't buy from here tho. seems sketchy

why should they not capitalize on people who look at only price and not quality? they sell crap because people buy it, and they know that you wont pay to ship it back to China for a refund. See they can ship to the US for nothing our postal service delivers it and we get the increased postal rates. Now if you purchased from a real American business you would have a better quality battery because American sellers cant get away with that crap.

complain it is a piece of crap, not sure if you know you get what you pay for in this world. Continue to go cheap and you get cheap at some point you have to spend money for quality. Not saying the most expensive is the best, but do your research and buy the best bang for the buck vice the cheapest for the buck.

go look at this freaking loser review on amazon. he spent 14.99$ for 2 batteries and charger, that is like 5$ for each item. And he get pissed off cus the charger takes too long to charge compare to samsung charger.

That, and his second battery was defective? Don't be overly biased here.
I have 2 Anker batteries and they seem comparable to my OEM's. No better, no worse. Hopefully in time they will still perform.
They aren't even broken in yet.
In the end, they will still suck, but hopefully not that bad. I wouldn't try to use your camera with flash on using an aftermarket battery though
EDIT: Also some gentleman was selling OEM note batteries, wall charger adapter, and a USB cable for 20$ shipping on eBay. I picked one up, it's perfect, and a steal of a deal.
well ive been trying to cylcle them a few time turning EVERYTHING on and maxing brightness etc.
still. felt like i opened a big bag of chips and finding it only half full. Im curious if others found the same thing in "better" batteries?
EDIT: I fully knew i wouldnt be getting the full rated mAh as i just wanted cheap, backup batteries. I've bought many of these before, but never opened them till now.
These batteries have since been retired. Do yourselves a favor, buy the "Anker" brand batteries. Theyare as good as oem and cheap too. Under $20 for two including a stand alone charger with usb output and 600mA.

Ive Read About Laza's Regular 1900 Slim Battery's But This One Is Different And Looks Better Than Other Extended Battery's Ive Seen. Plus All Of Its Reviews Are A1
I just bought this battery on ebay today for $13 and its an USA seller too. It should be here a little less than a week. Ill probably put up a video or pics of my first impression and close up the battery if you guys want. Then a little after I'll do a full review once I train my battery and give it some tests. I'm a pretty heavy user so dont be disappointed if I get less than 10 hours, since I average 3-4 hours off the stock battery.

I would suggest you read the reviews right from the Amazon link you posted. They give you exactly what you are asking for, personal reviews. Because of this I ordered one and I love it. I cut a hole in my TPU case to fit the cover, it's not perfect it gets the job done as I don't want my phone to be without a case/cover and it only cost me 4 bucks at the time.
When you get it it says that it needs five full charge and discharge cycles for full capacity. I actually used it once for TWO DAYS on a single full charge. :highfive:
The oddly shaped case is a love or hate design. The plus is that the edges are the thickness of a regular case instead of the fat thickness all other extended batteries have. I also feel it fits better and the buttons, power volume up and down, work better than other backs I've seen although I've never seen the Seidio back. Minus is that the design has this huge unsightly bulge and less than nice aesthetics.

So is Anker. Have used them for many phones and have nothing but the best to say. Mugen may be good but it is way overpriced.
I got a 3500mah battery off eBay for like 25 bucks from E-cell, a quality Japanese company. Its pretty decent, last all day under moderate to heavy use. I recommend, expecially for cost,
Nothing that fits under the stock cover will last any longer than the stock unit. All of those claims of higher ratings are all smoke and mirrors...
If you want something that last longer get the Mugen 5400mah with cover. I've never looked back and I never have to worry about battery life anymore.

Nothing I have found. But I understand where your coming from. I can no longer use it in the Car Dock, I had to use a universal dock.
But unfortunately I have many aftermarket batteries that are the stock size and they all claim to be something they are not. So you have a few options...
1. Use a large battery and deal with the downsides.
2. Live with the smallish battery life.
3. Get a new phone.
I am planning on getting the Note 2 and even though it comes with a larger battery I will probably still buy a larger battery for it if one becomes available as I have realized that having my phones last for 2-3 days has become such a huge asset that it outweighs the downsides. Its actually quite liberating not having to always worry where I'm going to charge my phone. 16 planes rides, 4 hour bus rides, tons of heavy GPS/Map use. I never worry anymore...
I think Samsung (and others) really needs to start making the phones thicker instead of thinner and putting larger batteries in them. I would gladly buy something like a Galaxy Note that is say 50% thicker with a huge battery, vs having to go aftermarket and getting a 100% thicker phone. This obsession with thin phones is for cosmetic reasons and is something I would normally say happens with the Apple crowd as they tend to buy phones for how it makes them look, not necessarily for what the phone does. No offense to any Apple folks, but you know what i'm talking about. If you have a small phone, ok sure thin might be an advantage. But what the heck is the point of making a 5+ inch phone thin as can be?
Excellent points. Thanks!
I have a nice case, but only allows for a standard battery...

I just had the stupidest argument just a few hours earlier about this very thing. My Note is pretty much a computer I carry on my belt. If I could just get rid of the 450 minutes and get, say, 100 minutes and put the balance towards a higher data plan, I'd be better off. I guess it just depends on how you use your phone. Mine is a life line, but not to call anyone. If otterbox made a case to fit a bigger battery, I'd rock it all; my wife gets all shame-faced with me when I use my phone because she says it's like I'm holding a wall up to my face..

With the exception of branding, it looks like the laza. 5600mah is doubtful. Seriously, all the extended batteries look to be to stock battery clones sandwiched, and since all the aftermarket batteries are highly unlikely to match OEM capacity per cell, 5ah is the best we can reasonably expect.

I would agree, I have two sets of those from another manufacture and they are not 5600mah, I get about an hour less screen on time compared to my Mugen 5400mah, and those batteries are slightly thinner than the Mugen, so I would put then at 4600mah or so...

Over-heating melting or what?
In most cases those cheap batteries do not even have half the capacity printed on the sticker.

Whenever you hear a story about a phone exploding in someone's pocket, there's a cheap battery to blame.
Seems too good to be true, but I'll avoid it. I'd rather spend the money on an OEM battery with 3,000 mAh so I'm assured that it'll work, and that it'll last.
Here's a hint: if a battery is advertised as being the same size with more capacity, it is too good to be true.
I ordered one for $8 off ebay. I'll post results in a few weeks when I get it.
I live on the wild side and ordered the miracle Chinese 3500 batteries. Oh well, life is a gamble. When I get them in two months, I'll report my review. Oh well, it was just $17.99
What could go wrong...:cyclops:
Batteries and sd cards are scams on ebay. The batteries often even have a label underneath the top one with a smaller capacity written on it. They also don't last very long at all. Even if it works well new, prepare to be displeased in a couple months.
I have bought those black ones in the past and they were pretty bad. Like they only lasted a couple hours. Hopefully these are better. But I have also bought the ones with a yellow and red stripe and they were much better. Not as good as an Anker but still pretty good. Here is one for 6 bucks and it ships locally. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3300mAh-battery-for-LG-Sprint-Optimus-G3-LS990-D850-D855-S-Stylus-/191257900734?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item2c87dbf6be
These aftermarket batteries is one thing I will not touch with a 10 foot pole. No matter how much I need a spare. There's only a few reputable 3rd party battery manufacturers that I would buy without hesitation. But I wouldn't go near eBay batteries.
What about Caseology batteries, I bought two of them hope them work same as OEM

I did a run down test on one a few years ago, and they were about 75% compared to factory, haven't tested since then and that was in the HTC Rezound.
If you have the time, charge them up and do a run down test with screen on full brightness playing high res video until it's dead, repeat that with stock and then you'll know what you've got. And you can let us know
goooddddddddddddddddd
I'll be waiting for zerolemon to put something up. Quality > *
