[Q] HELP!!! no network after installing 2.2 rom

HELP!!!
I have a UK xperia x10 on Orange network, yesterday i rooted my phone and installed freex10 2.2 rom. Everything works perfectly except my network/operator.
i tried to manually select a network but it just says error..
can anyone help me plz?
Do you have the right baseband? And what is it?
what were your steps for flashing freex10 2.2?
it says my baseband version is unknown
i followed zdzihu's thread from start to finish http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=908791
by putting freex10 and gappsx10 onto my sd card, and then installing them using xrecovery. i also had to use adb killall service manager to stop the random reboots.
thanks in advance

[Q] froyo 2.2.2 build 15609

hi
apologies in advanced, but i have spent all of my saturday morningbsearching , and got no where.
im on stock froyo, and ive used titanium backup o remove loads of crap from my phone and i get 0 crashes etc,
but now i wanna overclock, but i cant find no threads or guide for froyo bb 351, build 15609 overclock.... ive only found performance fixes for oldr builds.
any links are appreciated
PS will overlocking method wipe any apps from my streak ?
To overclock you need a custom kernel. The stock kernel can not be overclocked.
if you are that far back with your Streak I would recommend you flashed StreakDroid v1.90 or one of the other modified Froyo ROMs and that will allow you to do what you please
hi
I found a kernel on spidlas simple streak thread, so I done streakmod via fastboot and done a nandroid backup, and then done the kernel.
I also deleted the dalvik cache.
everythings good, except that none of my gameloft apps run after deleting the dalvik cache.
I don't know why I deleted it, I read somewhere that it's recommended.... but thats a minor. I have like 90 games on my phone but play none. I just like to have a massive selection for my streaks e-penis!
thanks for replying.....

[Q] Randomly getting com.android.phone stopped working message on Eclipse 2.2

It seems on Eclipse 2.2, I sometimes will randomly get a "com.android.phone has stopped processing" error message. This seems to occur after I've had my phone hooked up to my PC via the "PC Mode" USB connection.
Usually, if I switch to charge mode, that seems to clear it up. Other times, I have to reboot.
I'm running Eclipse 2.2 and I did it correctly:
rooted under stock 2.3.4 using Pete's Motorola tools
Voodoo root keepered my SU and temporarily unrooted
applied 2.3.5 build 418 update via stock recovery
rerooted and deleted the SU backup
wiped data/cache/dalvik and applied Eclipse 2.2 image via BSR
I do have the latest V6 turbo charger scripts running using option 6 and Lag Nullifier.
I also applied Peppermints GB battery bug fix which replaces the following two files:
/system/bin/battd
/system/bin/libbattd.so
I don't believe these would affect the phone process, but what I wanted to know is, has anyone else encountered this?
Thanks!
i have not, had that happen
I'm running V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC9_test6
tried that before finding your post in eclipse forum
not using battery fix
edit: sorry didn't read close enough
haven't tried pc mode yet, so nevermind

a imperfect method of use 3xx baseband in 2.3.3 without button flashing

flash this boot into your mini5
then you can use baseband 3xx in android 2.3.3 without button flashing
but it will bring another problem :wifi couldn't turn on
I have tried it in DSC 0.6、1.1 ,it works well except wifi
it couldn't work in miui or cm7
New baseband without wifi....What is the benefit?...

manics, would you pull and share config from this kernel?
adb pull /proc/config.gz
this boot was not builded by me
it is from a modified version of streakmi
i found it in BBS.ZHANGKU.COM
i am trying to ask the poster
but i guess maybe it is using kernel of streakmod recovery

N0p. Want me to flash and pull?
I dont use wifi.
I try to do it tomorrow (will be near pc, so can unpack everything without flashing).

WiFi simply needs corresponding driver and I might blindly guess that dhd.ko from 407 should do.
the poster says ,this boot is from the earliest 2.3.3 roms of dj_steve, but he could not remember from which one.
Checked kernel config vs 407 kernel - nothing changed except resume speedup. I wonder what code in kernel could control blinking.

[Q] Dell Streak 5 rebooting problems (S.O.S.)

Well I am having the imfamous rebooting problem with my streak 5.
I am running stock olleh 407 with root. I have tried other roms such as Steve's Gingerstreak rom, DSC, Longhorn, MIUI, and always seems to still have the issue with the phone rebooting for no reason, sometimes out of the blue when not even doing anything, most the time when running applications and 99% of the time with games.. I'd love to get this fixed.. simply because I bought it off of craigslist and love this phone, I cannot goto Dell and try to get help because they need to know where the phone was bought from originally which I have no way of finding the info, I wish I could just get a new warrenty(sp?) but they wont help me out..
any clues? even if I got to go back to froyo to make it stop this crap Im willing too..

Try changing your baseband. The baseband you're using is the beta baseband and that could be the source of your difficulties. I'm surprised however, as I figured 407 would have changed the baseband. Perhaps you're one of the lucky ones to not have the new baseband "stick".
I used to have this problem with resets and no matter what rom i put i got the same result, so by accident i figure it out it was from the back cover, i open up the streak and put something to the senzor so no matter what i do even if i take the cover off the streak is not turning off.
You should shake it and try to hit the back cover but not to hard to damage the streak and see if it is from the cover.
My guess is that the cover is doing that.
my streak restart when i watch youtube video.what can be the problem?Am running a stock rom 407 olleh.
I too use to get random reboots with streakdroid roms and some stock roms. When I installed MIUI 2.4.20 the random reboots stopped.
Im not 100% sure that it was the rom that fixed this but its too much of a coincidence that its the only rom i had no issues with whatsoever.
With every custom rom there is always a detailed guide on the best way to flash to get the best results.
Its absolutely crucial that you follow these guides. It makes a big difference.

where do I download the correct baseband to flash?
nevermind found it.
ok flashing newer baseband.. will update you guys on the reboots.:good:
and so far no reboots! thanks dude.. I hit the thank button for you also.
I follow the directions on the roms to the T but I guess things happen sometimes.
anyways thank you again
While it is certainly not common, it's also not unheard of for a baseband flash to not "take" and have to be reflashed.
I was having the same problem and installed a battery app that reported charge/temp etc. Everything was fine while used for approx 15 mins, but as the temp started to rise thats when rebooting happened. Tried new battery but made no diff, tried a number of roms to no avail.

well... go for custom ROM then... we here pretty much dont use stock ROM anymore because ... well... it is stock and does not have any tweak done to it..

Thats parts of your problem.
I find that stock roms are totally useless. Thats my opinion.
Yes there are custom roms out there that are still buggy but i find they are all much better that what is offered from stock.
I also find that it necessary to read the whole post before flashing any rom. There are always helpfull hints inside as to how to make your custom rom work without issues.
I sold my dell streak for a htc sensation, I put MIUI and reflashed the DPS1 msnn and it ran like a charm.
How ilr u man pls help ive just rooted my dell streak 5 i wanna get 2.3 rom how do i go about this

your sd card probably gone bad already.. and you may need to reformat it again using sd card adapter ...
however... you need to use streakmod recovery.... if you want to upgrade... i say try DSC 1.0 because all the required file is there at the dev forum...
