No. Optimus GT540 and Optimus One P500 are different telephones:
-Optimus GT540: resistive screen 3", Android 1.6, released in June
-Optimus One P500: capacitive screen 3.2", Android 2.2, released this month
Other specifications are similar: 320*480, CPU 600 Mhz, camera 3 Mpixels
So Optimus One P500 is a more interesting phone, and it's simmilar in specifications to HTC Gratia/Aria
Someone should do with it ... have P500 ... it's cool !!

It's not OTA update. Needs carrier manual update...
As of today, the Android 4.4 update available for LG Optimus G KitKat phone regardless of mobile operator.

On a Brazilian tech site I found the news with an official link to the lg homepage http://www.lge.com/br/celulares/lg-P714
where the upcoming 4.4 update was stated. (Unlike Samsung devices of which none are getting 4.4 updates)
Rumors according to : http://droidnews.org/lg-optimus-g-y-lg-l7-ii-recibiran-kitkat-4-4-2-el-14-de-julo/
state that the l5ii is getting 4.4 on September 14th in Brazil.
These are all facts with 99.9% certainty.
And what about the 710?
P714 is almost the same as the P710 but is not illuminated front keys
Funny that the only places where this is reported are Brazilian sites. I'd expect this to be reported in a more global LG site (no offense to Brazil).

True. Quite a coincidence. I think it's cos lg probably focuses on Europe & us for its top end devices. Then brasil and some others for its mid rangers like l7ii (according to an earnings demographic perhaps)
And the p710/713/714/715/716 will all get the update.

It's not simply earnings demographic. It's about a device that cost near of Galaxy S5 in Brazil.
Looks like its for the L5-II too! Yippie, hopefully it fixes the wifi issues on that phone

i hate people not using search or even worse EYES (it was on to of the list he actually had to click no more than 5cm from it to post a new thread )
