[IDEA] Porting Cyanogen Cam to MIUI rom (rodirriguez style) - Nexus One Android Development

Hello All,
I am looking to PORT over the Cyanogen 6 Camera to the MIUI ROM at least on Rodriguez Style's version. I am aware that Rodi has included the working Libs in his ROM however this is where I am stuck. I would like to first get a list of all the libs that are needed to support the Cyanogen 6 Camera and then possibly complie this into a flashable zip.I have checked on CyanogenMod github under the androidpackage_apps_camera and have found very little info expcept the RAW java.
Lets make this a community effort.
Moderators please dont move this thread as it is Android Development Related.

U cant do that until u have the framework sources of miui, most cyanogen cam changes are in framework and not in camera app.So no need to even try without framework source for miui

what if we installed the cyanogen framework as an addition to the MIUI framework? Would it work? Like framework2 or something like that?

[Q] Compiling ROMs for Mini Pro

Greetings, as devs seem do abandon this community quite quickly (and yes, I undersnad why), I'd like to ask, how could one compile his own rom. Ow more precisely, what changes are needed after compiling a clean CM for i.e. HTC Hero or ZTE Blade to make it work on Mini Pro?
Thanks in advance for your answers
Take a rom say AOSP, put compatible drivers and some further tweaks, edit framework, delete/put apps in system/app and make compatible hw_config.sh n build.pro do some more deleting/addind and u'll get a custom rom!

[Q] cooking my 1st rom

hey guys
i m planning to cook my own rom and i need some help here.
i m planning to build my custom rom based on CM and aokp
i wanted to know about this : it has gappas, i have to edit only base rom right? i dont have to touch gapps if i dont want to theme it ? am i correct?
and i just started learning it , so i m using kitchen
thanks for your time
Yes that is correct. The UI framework that android uses is in the base ROM or system. Gapps just contains the assortment of Google applications that cannot be added into major ROMs directly due to licensing issues (since CM/AOKP source is GPL and Google apps are proprietary). This is why CM/AOKP provide gapps but do not bake into their ROMs from the get go.
Hope I helped!
Think u can make gapps native to your own rom...I've been doing this from far now and never had any problems...the thing is CM can't include them, you're not cm...anyway you can theme as much as you like them, but will have to make your own zip path for users...it's not as difficult as it sounds, you can even take meta-inf from original path and just compile and sign it

That is hard to do without a background in building from source and knowing some coding and kernel stuff. You don't have lollipop yet on that device so it will be even harded. You can't just copy some files. You need a device tree and modify the kernel and then build cm12 from source.
Thanks for taking time .. But i would if i can port CM11 at least

Well I don't know about your device (it's basically the same for all Qcom device, I don't know about MTK). Porting by copying files is less reliable then building from source (well it's way easier). It's very very hard to solve bugs when copying files and if the base has bugs the port might be even more buggy.

[ROM][CM13] Nexus 6 Mod Ready?

I have a Nexus 6 running Android N developer build NPD90G. I really want to go over to Cyanogenmod because of the 13.1 Mod Ready update, which integrates Cortana, Skype, etc. However, all the builds are 13.0, not 13.1. This made me think that I cannot install the mods, but on the CM website it says that mods are supported on phones running CM13 and up. Does this mean that I can install the mods on my phone if I go over to CM? And if so, will my phone even support them? I've tried to find an answer to this but I couldn't find one anywhere.
UPDATE: I realized that the mods are only in Cyanogen OS, not CM. But is there a way to still get that deep integration of mods in CM itself? Sry I'm a noob...

Looking for MIUI Camera / Google Camera port

Hi guys! At the moment I wasn't able to find any working Google Camera port. Maybe I missed a working one? If there isn't, can one of the awesome rom developers port a MIUI Camera from the official miui rom?
P.s.: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-2/themes/google-camera-versions-t3840815
In this thread, there's a library zip file in the third post, but I'm afraid to use it, cause the [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 16.0 is finally working without any problems and there's no detailed guide what the zip file is doing. Is it safe to use?
I use this and it goes very well in AoSp ext.
GCam5.1.014-Arnova8G2-v9.1.apk
Can't use it, it's crashing before the phone can open it
