Looking for MIUI Camera / Google Camera port - Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi guys! At the moment I wasn't able to find any working Google Camera port. Maybe I missed a working one? If there isn't, can one of the awesome rom developers port a MIUI Camera from the official miui rom?
P.s.: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-2/themes/google-camera-versions-t3840815
In this thread, there's a library zip file in the third post, but I'm afraid to use it, cause the [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 16.0 is finally working without any problems and there's no detailed guide what the zip file is doing. Is it safe to use?

I use this and it goes very well in AoSp ext.
GCam5.1.014-Arnova8G2-v9.1.apk

Can't use it, it's crashing before the phone can open it

[REQ] HTC-Camera.apk for nonSesse ROM

Hello,
I have question, or request to developer.
Camera apl. in 2.1ROM is with bugs, unstable, poor setting,...
But camera in 1.5ROM and in VillainROM5x work fine, without bugs.
Is some way to install HTC-Camera from 1,5ROM or from VillainROM5.2?
And same "problem" is with gallery. Simple gallery without 3D.
I try push via adb some files to Androbin, but without result.
- htccamera.apk and com.htc.* jar and apk files from resource.
Can anybody help me, or prepare howto file,...?
Or developer prepare patch for aHero,Androbin,...?
Or I have total stupid request?
What rom are you currently using? if you are using an unstable 2.1 rom from asop sources you may want to try the sprint hero rom or legend port etc? Just by reading the many 2.1 roms feature lists on this forum. This information could of been attained on your own accord.

I know features of custom ROMs.
aHero and Androbin are good ROM, but with "sh.t" gallery and camera.
VillainROM5,2 is stable, gallery and camera work good, camera with more setting optinons. But I want use AOSP contact and callendar,... not HTC.
Is possible port ONLY HTC camera and gallery to AOSP ROM? For ex. from Villain?
How to make this?

[Q] How to port custom apps from CyanogenOS to CyanogenMod

Hi to everyone
I hope that someone can help on this thing. Maybe i be wrong but, i think this should not be a big deal to handle cause the two systems are really similiar to each other.
First of all, here is what i try to accomplish:
Ive got myself a new Aquaris X5 from X5 which come out of the box with CyanogenOS.
With the CyanogenOS-ROM from the X5 comes a custom camera-app from BQ itself (Camerabq.apk).
With this custom Camera-app from BQ you have way more functions and also the Quality of the Pictures is better (i think) in comparison to the camera-app from CyanogenOS (Cameranext.apk).
Because of the "advantages" from CyanogenMod compared to CyanogenOS i want to move permanently to CyanogenMod, and thats why i want to port the bq camera-app from CyanogenOS to CyanogenMod.
Here is what i have tried:
Copied Camerabq.apk from CyanogenOS
Flashed CyanogenMod
Installed Camerabq.apk
Results:
Almos every single feature works exact as in CyanogenOS except the panorama-mode.
As soon as i tried to switch into the panorama-mode the camera-app crashes. After that first crash the app doesnt start up again, crashes at every start. It only starts working again, after i delete the app-data.
Sadly i have no skills in app-development and/or app-porting, thats why i hoped someone can help me to accomplish this task.
Are there any missing files, libs, frameworks etc thats needed to make the panorama-mode work?
If i have all the files together, how do i make a flashable zip-file out of this?
Just to make it clear, i dont want to compile my own custom-rom from CM-sources, i just want to make a flashable zip for the custom bq camera-app for everyone.
A logcat is attached to this post.

If you can decompile the apk and then share the androidmanifest.xml, then maybe I could help you.

[req REDMI NOTE 4X MIDO ROM STOCK OR CUSTOM]

HELLO im newbie. i have one old redmi note 4x mido, with snapdragon chip, 3 gb ram an 32gb rom.
im looking for a rom clear, fast light , basic.
i have installed twrp 3.2.1.0 and now i want to root it.
who can help me?
is possibble to have a rom like stock rom but can install it from twrp?
thank you very much.
please help me...
First, update your TWRP:
Download TWRP for mido
Download TWRP Open Recovery for mido
dl.twrp.me
Then you can think of a custom rom. If you want light and basic rom, you can look on LineageOS or Pixel Experience. First one is being releasing without Google Apps, you would need to flash a package (if you want to use Google apps of course ):
The Open GApps Project
OpenGApps.org offers information and pre-built packages of The Open GApps Project. The Open GApps Project is an open-source effort to script the automatic generation of up-to-date Google Apps packages. All Android versions and platforms supported.
opengapps.org
Pixel Experience is equipped with Google apps by default. Both ROMs are close to pure Android, not like MIUI. You could find some MIUI ports from other devices, but I wouldn't really recommend them. For such an old device like mido something close to stock Android is much better

How have you managed to make 100+ posts if you're a newbie?
Personally I can't tell much about those ROMs because I use different one. But they are well-recognized in the community, so they are rather safe way to go.
As for the camera, they probably have some camera pre-built. But you can achieve much better quality with some GCam mods. Even better than with the stock cam, if you know how to set it up.
Anyway, if you'll decide you don't like custom ROMs, you can always go back to stock using Mi Flash tool. But I doubt it, since customs allows you to enjoy Android 10 now (11 is on its way for mido too, but still early at the moment)
