Apps2sd (or App2sd) on Xperia X8? - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

Hi,
I am a beginner on Android platform, but I am power user on symbian and wm as well.
I have tried Apps2sd on my X8 and it doesn't works, even after sd format and getting the root rights as well.
Is it possible to get apps2sd work on Android 1.6 (especially on x8)?
Thx.

Check out similar thread in x8 android development
Hopefully it should solve your problem
Quick pointers :
Make sure you are ROOTED.
Busybox installed.
Try after a fresh flash.
Format the ext2 partition before using the script.

Thank you, music_daemon.
Finally i have found the right solution to app2sd my x8.
You find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8579902#post8579902
Follow the instructions correctly, and your phone will app2sd ready.
I must PS that i replaced my rom with SE Software Updater, because the first try haven't given the right result. I have rooted my phone again, and applied the previously attached solution.
Now that's right. Thank you XDA.

We need to root our devices before can apply the app2sd script since it is not yet possible to root x8 we will have to wait.

Install Flash 10.1 On Android 2.1 Xperia X8!! (Tutorial)

SORRY! IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!! THREAD CLOSED!!!
Here is the step by step guide on how to get Flash 10.1 on your Android 2.1 Eclair geared Xperia X8:
(1) The first step is to download flash_for_21.zip to your computer and extract the .apk file.
(2) Now navigate to the market and install “Apps Installer” utility to your phone.
(3) Now connect your Android phone to the computer and copy .apk file to your SD card. Make sure that it is in SD card root and not in a sub folder.
(4) After this launch “Apps Installer” on your phone and follow the on screen instructions to install flash_for_21.apk file.
(5) After installation is complete, simply reboot your phone and there you go! You now have Flash 10.1 on your phone.
Link Below!
Cheers!!

check the links. no bootloader cracking has been done. basically, someone has pre-rooted 2.1 rom. to copy the rooted rom, 1.6 rooted rom required.
Yeah, but as far as i know, the bootloader has to be broken before any custom roms can be installed, ?
If not, i can install vanilla android 2.1 on the phone right? as long as i got the right drivers for cam and such?
I have X8 2.1 rooted Flash 10.1 does not work
Doesnt work on xperia x8 eclair. Get a job!!!

Thats very easy... If you want to change your android version follow my step-by-step to install:
1st - download and run it:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136 - to root and install xrec on your phone.
2nd - download your rom
3rd - make a backup using xrec
4th - choose install custom zip and select zip from sd card
5th - wait
6th - reboot
7th - configure
8th - Thats ready to ROCK with custom roms!!!
But if you want a dual boot you need to know how to do it, or installing CyanoComb which comes with, and you need a very good SD card, for example a SDHC 16Gb Class 6 or Class 10. I'm going buy a Class 10 and i will say what tests results.
Btw, I hope I helped you
Thanks for your complete instruction dude
So in order to install GinTonic.Se , there is no need for an ext2/3/4 partition?
Thanks again

Is it possible to Root Xperia Ray (like x8 with one click) or not ? and if not Plz provide a link to Xperia ray root guide ONLY....
I wouldn't want to unlock my bootloader if possible, as it's too complicated I think..
Should I upgrade to ICS before rooting or not ?
One More question : Does Ray Support moving applications to SD card ? or do I need to install Link2SD and partition my SD Card ?

There are only the applications, which you have permanently given or denied root access.

Thanks a lot Someguyfromhell, i know that some of my questions are a little bit stupid for you
but im new on these, and im trying to get it because of my brand new xperia ray.
And i have 1 more question, in your tutorial is written that after the rooting progress with the zergRush method, the BusyBox will be installed, but
it is not installed the BusyBox app, do i have to install it by myself from Playstore or i dont need this app at all? Also the superuser app is installed
in my phone.

BusyBox is not an application, so you do not see it in app drawer. You don't need to do anything more, unless you want to update Busybox, but this isn't really needed either.
