How to solve it ? Pls help me?
My phone
Model number
E15i
Firmware version
2.1-update 1
Build number
2.1.1.A.0.6
PHONE ROOTED

Use LINK2SD method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926636
or A2SD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880387
but i recomment LINK2SD... it is easy

Still cant.....

may be you should use the racht, jerpelea. or miniCM rom
i tried big apps in jerepelea v004 rom
Sent from my X8 using XDA App

u should use flashtool..fr0m here
extract that,, and just do like flashtool said,,, pretty easy to use that,,
and for suggest,, install link2sd after that.. to make more free your internal memory.. i have a backup rom that already instaled some big game,, just dont have bandwith to upload it..
and offcourse,, thank to Androxyde and bin4ry who develop this tool..

Apps2sd (or App2sd) on Xperia X8?

Hi,
I am a beginner on Android platform, but I am power user on symbian and wm as well.
I have tried Apps2sd on my X8 and it doesn't works, even after sd format and getting the root rights as well.
Is it possible to get apps2sd work on Android 1.6 (especially on x8)?
Thx.
Check out similar thread in x8 android development
Hopefully it should solve your problem
Quick pointers :
Make sure you are ROOTED.
Busybox installed.
Try after a fresh flash.
Format the ext2 partition before using the script.

Thank you, music_daemon.
Finally i have found the right solution to app2sd my x8.
You find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8579902#post8579902
Follow the instructions correctly, and your phone will app2sd ready.
I must PS that i replaced my rom with SE Software Updater, because the first try haven't given the right result. I have rooted my phone again, and applied the previously attached solution.
Now that's right. Thank you XDA.
yes...i'm succsesfull to root n app2sd on my xperia8 .Thanks XDA.

We need to root our devices before can apply the app2sd script since it is not yet possible to root x8 we will have to wait.

Open browser and put this in m.sonyericsson.com/backup
if not compatable with 2.2 you will need to flash back to the level you created
backup
Not positive if it will work, but you can try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826849
Just download and unzip the file you need, in this case, backupandrestore.apk
Next, move it to your sdcard, and install using ASTRO or your choice of file manager.
Remember, I am not 100% positive if it will work on FreeX10 2.2 firmware.

i downloaded it and install there is superuser install but how do i know my phone is rooted ?? can u say how to use set cpu ??
To see if your phone is rooted, a simple way is to access apps like Terminal Emulator. Type su and you should see a pop-up. For setcpu, just do a simple search on the internet
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App
if u have superuser icon just open it and check if it loads properly while cpu can be obtain by downdaling set cpu from market but i am not sure if it works with froyo or u might get kernel panic frequently so install stock rom try mik cm7 2.3.3 gingerbread or if u want froyyo custom rom go for any u feel like there are many in devlopment but i personaly like cm 7 and u can set cpu its pre installed in the version and u can set cpu to above 800 but below 800 works awesome and most games are playable witout any lag proceed with installing recovery

look somtimes it does happen just download titanium backup and check if it is getting root permission or not.try 4-5 times if it fails then let me know. u do have superuser icon in application isnt it.
here are the procedure to install gingerbread root.
-copy all files from sd card to pc(backup)
-now format sd card fat32
-place the gingerbread apk 1.20 in sd card.
-now enable usb debugging settings-application-development -usb debugging (check the box)
-install gingerbread apk using file manger .
-press root and wait .the phone will reboot if it doesnt wait fr some time and see -if it works if not remove ur battery and reinsert ,switch on check if u have superuser icon in application.
-get titanium backup as it will ask u fr root rights if it install than ur phone is rooted or get terminal emulator from market and see if that works.
-now if titanium works proceed with installing recovery and then custom rom
it is working in p500 some user in xda had confirmed it so follow instruction properly if it doesnt than follow thw long process of downgrading and rooting with z4root

Thats very easy... If you want to change your android version follow my step-by-step to install:
1st - download and run it:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136 - to root and install xrec on your phone.
2nd - download your rom
3rd - make a backup using xrec
4th - choose install custom zip and select zip from sd card
5th - wait
6th - reboot
7th - configure
8th - Thats ready to ROCK with custom roms!!!
But if you want a dual boot you need to know how to do it, or installing CyanoComb which comes with, and you need a very good SD card, for example a SDHC 16Gb Class 6 or Class 10. I'm going buy a Class 10 and i will say what tests results.
Btw, I hope I helped you
Thanks for your complete instruction dude
So in order to install GinTonic.Se , there is no need for an ext2/3/4 partition?
Thanks again

Do I still need that ext partition?
Thanks

Hi!
1st) Wrong forum. This is for the 2011th Xperia Minis. This is for the X10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=614
2nd) I think u will just have to do what it says and get more free space. The game seems to be really huge and will need several MBs of storage. For installing it will unzip and so us over the 100 MBs.
well thnx fr ur help, but i dont think it will need 100 mb's of data
try cleaning out your cache ..
