Case w/ Stand (review) - G Tablet Accessories

My case finally made it in last night and I wanted to get a quick write-up for you guys.
This was made for the ZT-180 so there are a few minor issues and mods that need to be made but nothing major. Here is what I've noticed so far:
-The USB is covered when the snap is closed but when it is upright you don't use the snap
-There is no access to the home buttons. I am going to rectify this by either adding some felt or rubber 'nubs' underneath to accept the press or just get a hole punch to it.
-There is a 1/2 gap (space) along the long side. I am going to add a foam insert towards the top (camera side) as you get the full viewing area when the tab is pushed all the way down (or left).
-There are a couple of magnets there; one to keep the kickstand in place when its not being used and one in the corner to help keep the folio closed (not very powerful but does the trick)
-Speakers / Dock / Volume ARE covered
All in all for $20 I am very pleased. I purchased it here and shipping took about 12 days.
MOD EDIT: Ebay Link
Hope this help someone! PM or post if you have any other questions or ideas.

Did you opt out of getting the nifty keyboard/case for the ZT-180?

Yea... I havent gotten to the point where I wanted a keyboard 'yet' (working on swype now)... I also figure when I do I'd perfer a micro usb one anyway as opposed to running a cable each time.

This is exactly the same case I got for mine (I thought I was getting the clip version, but they sent this by mistake).
So far, I've cutout holes for the menu and home buttons (which actually work semi-well), cut away the side for the search button, cutout a whole section of the front so that the screen is visible, cutout a hole for the camera, cutout a piece to get access to the volume buttons and some tape keep it in place.
A real mess right now. At least this will hold me over until an official case comes out?

Car Holder from Ebay: Review

- overall: seems good enough. needs a little fixing.

- the plate for attaching to the dash (i wont use this ever - dont want to ruin car), the vent holders (they suck.. at least in my car), suction to window
- the green part is where the picture was (you can replace with your own or add that foam pad they supplied (which i did), the red part is where the clear plastic was suppose to be - cover for picture.
- phone w/ silicon case. fits fine. *put the phone in and close the sides to a slightly tight fit. im able to take out the phone and put it in quite easily.
- the red part is the button you press to release the sides (just push the sides in to tighten). the green part is the part the you would want to adjust to your liking and then super glue the hell out of so it wont move. haha im going to do that. (all 4 of them)
-silicon case from ebay if you haven't seen it. fits quite well but not SUPER tight so iono. not really using it yet. only the pouch. i ordered the hard rubber one. and im waiting for the invisible shield (tomorrow)
- on my car... i put it at a really weird angle so it will be low and closer to the dash. the suction is really strong (so far). but toward where the phone is, it will move but not tested while driving yet.. will have to update later.. but from what i can see. if you tighten the phone down (by sides) and tighten everything else. it should be fine even if it moves a bit.
- fits fine like this. works fine ... as i can tell. it kind of does fit landscape mode? but i WOULDNT reccommend it.
*Im using Garmin Mobile XT.. (should have taken pics with it on but oh well) its raining outside and im too lazy to drive around.
anyways... im kind of mad.. i was fixing the sides and what not.. so i had the thing in my room .. and had it on my closest mirror.. and when i went to take it off.. it was stuck so hard .. i broke the handle that releases and tightens the suction cup... i figured out that i can take it apart and still use it but now i cant take it off and put it on easily... oh well.. i dont really care.. ill just put it on my car and leave it there.. no real need to move it anyway.. .. it shouldn't break so easily if your careful but i went at it like it was nothing hahah.. but if you move it a lot.. im sure it will break..

Stick on with Matching wallpaper Cover

Has anyone treid any of these. Want to know if it covers all of the phone and how about a screen protector then and what the quality is like?
http://www.istyles.com/touch-pro2-c-292_489_698.html?page=0&sort=2a
That's very nice. I was searching for such a site. Maybe I will buy one for my Touch Pro2 and PlayStation3. I like the design of the covers.
When I buy some, I'll let you know!

P.S. Sorry for my bad English. I'm Dutch, you know.
There was a thread on here about 6 months ago with a similar thing and one guy had pics where moisture had got underneath the the protector he had on and it made a right mess don't know if these will do the same tho
interesting that they give you a matching background... well thought out product for sure!
I just ordered the carbon-fiber setup. Will post my experience when it comes in.
thats pretty cool, gotta look into this lol
Got mine in today. About all these are good for is personalization and minor scratch protection of unimportant areas. The battery cover half only covers part way and will only protect from scratches when laying the phone down flat. The cutouts are perfectly positioned and lining the skin up is easy, but be careful not to stretch the thin material.
The front skin is less impressive. Unlike in the photos, it does not cover the chrome trim at all. It is exactly the same shape and size as a die-cut screen protector, but the screen area is open. If you use one of those types of screen protectors then this skin is little more than adornment. If you use the square-cut type then it has to be larger than the skin's opening, which is exact to the Tilt's viewable screen area. This means there will be some degree of overlap. You could cut a screen protector to fit the skin's opening, but the likelihood of getting it perfect and without gaps is not high. Again, be careful not to stretch it when applying, especially the very thin sides.
To get the included wallpaper you have to go to a website and enter a key that comes with the skin and verify your e-mail address used to order. It will then be sent in an e-mail. I tried to use it with SPB Mobile Shell and it was magnified and all pixelated for some strang reason. Didn't try it with Manila since I'm no longer using that UI.
I guess if you want a custom look to the outside of your phone, it's worth the $12 (with shipping), but don't expect a lot of protection from it. Also, when you pass a finger over the edge where it meets the device you can feel it. Probably won't be long before it starts lifting and getting all unglued or ragged.
hey Miami.... post some photos of the finished application if you can.

Here's a fuzzy closeup of the edge. You can feel it when you pass a finger over it and it will probably be no time before it starts to lift. I've already got a ragged edge right where the stylus goes in from nicking it with my fingernails. I'll leave it be as long as I can, but I don't expect it to stay on too long.

Transformer Prime Dissassembled

Already posted somewhere in the end of a long thread but thought it needed a post of its' own.

Shows the location of all components.
P.s. My 2 cents on the whole matter, I think HC was rushed in order to launch with crappy drivers etc. Fingers crossed for ICS!
Cheers!
Well, I see stereo speakers.
Looks like they had to break the bottom inside to open the tablet. Look there on the botton.

There are four black holders each held in by a single screw. I don't know how you would open it without breaking it.

Sounded too spacial to me to not have something going on...
>There are four black holders each held in by a single screw. I don't know how you would open it without breaking it.
Looks like the two (not four) slider clips are designed to break off the mushroom heads upon opening, which would be for anti-tempering. Assuming they aren't screwed down tight, I suppose you can slip in a small pick to push the clips to the right to disengage.
Anyway, you don't actually need them. The text says the bottom is held together by adhesive. The plastic clips on the top & sides are sturdy enough to hold the halves, as long as the bottom doesn't move around.
Would be nice to see a complete disassembly to see how it's assembled. Although the problem with complete teardowns is that it's usually a one-way street.
Gak, just noticed the dual speakers were CLEARLY mentioned already. Yeesh.
Because I'm a geek and love to keep documentation of my devices, I have created a PDF file of this article with all the pictures as well.

Case with keyboard!

I've just received my cover with usb keyboard that I had bought 16 days ago ( http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-White-Co...ltDomain_0&hash=item3cbfe707a6#ht_3415wt_1396 )
The keyboard has a good feeling and the folio fits very well on it.
I've noticed that it covers the hdmi port, so I can be a problem if someone wants to use the case while having the hdmi connected

Painkiller.. ive bought the case from ebay.. and its not bad.. only problem all blue/special keys cause reboot.. any solution
the pen coming with the case must be replaced by another (cost 10$)..
Hello, already bought it. Will test.
With the prelast JB release the special keys work and the keyboard is 100% fully operative
[Review] GoClever 10" (Black) keyboard case
Good:
1. You have a keyboard.
2. Your Folio is protected.
3. Writing is much faster.
Bad:
1. You need to cut down the 2 bottom legs, so you insert tablet without scratching the back of the case.
2. You need to remove the little cover that covers the miniUSB, USB and HDMI, so you could insert the usb device more easily.
3. The holding border covers HDMI.
4. Pressing Caps Lock, num Lk and Scr Lk crash your Folio.
5. The magnetic lock is weak.
6. Drains battery faster.
7. Tablet with case is mush heavier.
Hi there
I've got a following question about this cover. Is there possibility to open this case and take off the keyboard if I don't want to use it, or just open this case that keyboard would be on the back of the tablet? If case is closed isn't keyboard making scraches on the screen of the tablet? Is it working well for you?

Case
Hey, I know it's been sometime since the launch of folio100, but I never bought a case for mine, and I'm looking for one now. I searched for the original Toshiba Leather Case but it seems it is a discontinued product in the market. So, does any 10.1" case fit my folio? If anyone has suggetions of nice folio cases, post it.
Thanks
P.S. Does the keyboard that comes with the cases work good with the folio 4.1 CM10?

[Q] Disassemble? YP-G70 USA 5.0

Ok i have a quick question about the Galaxy 5.0. My question is how to take it apart if i ever have any issues (repairs)? I own alot of electronics so its just in my nature to know how to take things apart "IF THEY NEED TO BE". I am a proud galaxy owner but just like any other mp3 such as the ipod touch we may come across disassembling. So any info would be helpful but video would solve my question.
First, take out the SD card and unplug it from everything obviously.
There's 3 screws around the top and bottom. Two are under little white stickers, one is in the SD slot. If you carefully lift the stickers off with a razor blade you can put them back where they were.
Once you have the screws out, the back cover snaps off but it's pretty difficult. I usually work the plastic clips around the edge with my thumbnails. I start on the long sides of it, then move to the top, then the top corners. Once you pop the top end off, then work down to the bottom end while watching out for the headphone and usb ports.
The corners are pretty difficult to get undone, especially without a screwdriver.
Reinstalling the back cover is cake though, snap it together and 3 screws back in. Gotta pay attention to the headphone jack though, and there's a little chrome trim ring that goes around the headphone jack that sits in the back of the cover that you wanna make sure you don't lose.
It's really not difficult at all, just be patient with it.
I Can't tell if these are USA or International version. Hope it helps.

This is just to clarify, the screen is working, it is the capacitive buttons at the bottom (back home and menu) that are broken correct?
If yes then there are a few easy solutions
Use pacman rom/aokp/paranoid android rom and enable soft buttons (all three are variants of cyanogenmod with extra features.)
download from the play store a app that enables soft buttons
either way allows you to use software buttons instead of the capacitive ones, provided your touch screen works.
