[Q] Wireless Bluetooth keyboard - Optimus One, P500, V General

Does anybody know, if something like this would work with Optimus One?
I think that not all Android phones have HID support.
Anybody have some wireless keyboard working on O1?

I'm also interested in the bluetooth keyboard. I saw one similar here that is sold as not compatible with Froyo 2.2 (see description).
But here I found one that is sold for Lg Optimus One. Strange... I just asked for compatibility to the seller. I await his news and let us know.
EDIT: sorry for my english...

well, that is exactly the same as I got from eBay (under different name), but didn't make it work with O1.

The ebay seller says:
100% compatible! And please my feedback, already shown positive for 2.2 user (For Galaxy Tab user)
Maybe Galaxy Tab firmware have different HID driver?

2.2 isn't enough, the HID support can be (and is) different on different devices. Hopefully 2.2.1, or 2.3 will solve this.

if you can try prime v2, it's 2.2.1

But than I loose my overclock, don't I?

Yes... the kernel of Prime v2 isn't overclocked yet.
Hope that Megatron V2 is 2.2.1 and with oc/tweaks.

tried this, but no success

Got reply from LG:
"We do not have any plans as for now to add any HID support to our Optimus One phone.
No good news

so my question is... will all the existing ROMS and ports and some tweaks work on Gingerbread?
or just installing Gingerbread alone will make a better over all improvement of O1?

Hope the official update gets rid of that annoying LGMITS error and the SD card which randomly becomes unrecognized.
I also heard that Gingerbread should make power consumption more efficient compared to froyo (apparently the price to pay for being snappier than eclair).
Great news indeed.

Yeah, that LGMITS error. It annoyed me for a while, but suddenly it stopped popping up on my screen. Weird.
So you mean power consumption compensates for the touchscreen's accuracy? I just knew that now, seriously LOL. Hopefully that isn't the case with "our" Gingerbread update.
This just made my day ^____^ Guess I'll postpone using a custom ROM until Gingerbread.
Hope I made a right choice to choose OT.
Other than AWS and wifi calling support, I'd like to see flash support on future 2.3 update.
I thought there's already a Flash support for Optimus One....?

Apparently, the browser does not have the flash plug-in or it is disabled or inaccesible...
by the way >> you can enable plug-ins from the browser settings menu
oh.. and i think flash is really missing in the phone..
Im starting to love LG
Are there any informations or speculations about the release of the gingerbread update ?

I emailed LG Romania Support today and the answer was: "the P500 can't be upgraded to gingerbread because the processor and the memory will not allow runing the 2.3 version" )) So if LG Romania doesn't even know that their phone can be upgraded to 2.3 than they surely don't know when will this be possible
They are complete morons. Because of the memory ? This device has 512 mb, same as Nexus S, same as Desire, Nexus One, Galaxy S, all high-end devices.
I'm 100% positive that the upgrade will be released !

I also sent them this link, they seem to know nothing about their products
You can imagine what 2 milion owners can do if that's not true.
Will this update fix the sd card problem?
what's wrong with the sd card? i never had any problems with it.
I'm having trouble detecting the sd card.
I inserted a sandisk 4gb class 4 and my phone didn't recognized it (i got the 'SD card removed. Insert a new one.' notification). Then, i inserted back the original 2gb sd card from the box, but that notification is still there and it can't be recognized. But both my PC and a another android device (a galaxy tab) can detect it. So, i tried formatting both the 4gb and the original 2gb with the galaxy tab and inserted it to my O1 but nothing has changed. I tried updating to the official V10E firmware but it makes no differences. Any help please?

[Q] Which Android 3 and over custom ROM would be suitable for my device?

Hello all ,
Recently I purchased an unbranded Chinese Tablet with Tegra2 chip which is running Android 2.2 At the moment.
I have found out there is no Software lock nor restrictions on changing the ROM on this tablet. So I would like to put a custom ROM on it if possible.
I have two questions :
1- Is there any system requirements I should be aware before putting any custom ROM on my device? for example any specific PBC board/chipset or other component?
2- What is the best custom Adnroid 3 series ROM ( with the most stability and functionality ) which is designed for Tegra2 chipset?
Please go easy on me as I am new and would like to expand my knowledge with productive help of people here
Thanks
If you run an Android 2.2- 2.3 then there's certainly no. At least none with more then a tegra2. I think you could simply run like all ROMs.
Because I am looking for ROMs also, I think I saw something interesting.
But is your tablet copied? Just, tge chinese made it cheaper?
Then you should search on that tablet on XDA
Regards

Yea the tablet is copied from other ones , obviously does not have the same specification hence the cheap price. And it has only 512MB RAM which is not a problem for me as I am not a gamer.
But I am sure some ROMs work with certain hardware and setup better than others.
I have to get more hardware detail when I have the tablet in hand.
However I prefer to have more information first. So any help and suggestion is appreciated.
I'm specifically looking for android 3.0 and newer version which is compatible with the device
** Any assistance? ***
Sorry for late reply...
I am really sorry, but I have no experience with tablets and Chinese tablets. I am sorry.
But if you flash recovery with ROM manager nothing can go wrong because you can always go back!

Samsung ics official statement yet?

Hi,
I have been collecting info about upcoming ics for our sga, yesterday was a good day when I saw Cyanogen said: "check back
in 2 Months" on their twitter page. Anyway for many of us it'll be more easy to get official ics update from Samsung instead of rooting and beta testing cm9 , but more and more I can see Samsung's greedy policy, pushing up top devices and leaving "old" without support. Meantime in current case our device isn't that old (remember 18 month "must" support and google words about gingerbread capable) those last few weeks I've seen a lot of speculations on forums, and many people had doubts about ics on sga, pointing to adreno 200 limitations.. But what is more interesting is that today Sony Ericsson made a statement that all xperia devices will get ics support. This includes xperia mini pro which have 600mhz arm11 and adreno 200 gpu! (we have it all and +200mhz cpu). So at the moment it's clear to me that its all up to Samsung, but I'm interested, did they made a statement about galaxy s, ace, nexus one, nexus s and other "very very old devices" ?
Maybe it's a good idea to give them a shut via support? What do you think
Here is url to Sony Ericsson statement: blogs.sonyericsson.com/products/201...ich-for-sony-ericsson-2011-xperia™-portfolio/

Samsung did make an official statement about phones getting ICS. I remember because I was thinking about a new CM version for the ace instead of stock ICS. I forgot where I saw it. But I don't know, Samsung might change their mind in the future. Even so, by then CM9 will be rocking all our aces ;D
i did read somewhere before Samsung didnt said anything about ace gettin ICS .....but who knws .. still more chances relies on CM9 but its also not clear yet .....
The xperia mini pro is 1ghz with a better gpu, if I'm not wrong it's 205.
Don't confuse x10 mini pro with xperia mini pro.
I don't think so,android devices rarely gets updates

[Q] AVCRP 1.3/1.4 Support

Anybody who can tell me if it is possible to add AVCRP 1.3/1.4 to the Xperia S?
Currently it only supports 1.1

If I'm not mistaken, the support should come from the native Android itself.
Ok, so is it possible to change something or install something to get that working?

I highly doubt so.
If you are looking for features like seeing who is calling (Name), music title, etc in your Bluetooth device, then you can look into the new Bluetooth device (Smart Wireless Headset pro) that Sony has announced (yet to be available here)
what are you guys talking about ???

Funny you come up with that one, cause im actually getting that one. Ordered it already.
So im curious if it will work out of the box on that one. My car is not the problem, as my old Iphone 3GS streams meta data perfectly to my car. (Citroen C3 2011). The Xperia S does not...
Anybody who has any clue as how to get this working ?
This is a feature which needs to be built into Android, so the only hope is if it is included in an update. And the most likely update is the ICS update from Sony.
Even ICS doesn't support this as standard.

Cyanogenmod seems to support it...
That would make it not to hard to implement it in a rooted S.

Cheapest Low-End Model Android Device with Stable CM7 Root?

What's the cheapest android out there that has root capabilities and a stable CM7 source?
I know MetroPCS's m835 is only ~$40-~$60, and although not officially supported, has CM7 capabilities at somewhat (but still very buggy) stable CM7 kernal and support.
What else is out there?

LG Optimus PRO is an good idea. Official CM7 support, kernel, etc. OR you can get the SAMSUNG Galaxy Y, or the Galaxy 5, you choose.
My indication: OPTIMUS PRO from LG
LG optimus one
it even has cm9 which is even better
Thanks for the input
Looking at eBay seems super-cheap with capability.
Are there any cheaper ones that just have cm7 rooted full support that anyone has come across?
Seems by rooting you can get a super-cheap android tablet, even without a sim card or phone support, that will fit in your pocket and have a tons of functionality and possibility.
Who can find the cheapest
Going to make my purchase today guys, any last minute recommendations?
Thanks
LG optimus one
It has official Cm7
And fully functional Cm9
And daily driver suitable Cm10
