OPINION- DEJI BST-38 1500mAh High Capacity Business Battery-Sony Ericsson S500 only? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I found this battery on the internet, it says it's BST-38 which is used in Mini Pro too. Do you think this is any good and do you think it can be used in MIni Pro? No idea whay they only list S500.

Just bought one from dinodirect.com/sony-ericsson-s500-business-battery-1500mah-deji.html for $7.99,let you know if it work.

I wonder how that is working for you.
I just ordered one from dino direct.

Please guys let us know how it works for you!

meh
I've had this for about a week now - I don't really feel much improvement from the stock battery. Slightly better perhaps.

Wait wait - the other thread is about Jin Dian brand, this is Deji brand

good
Good call vlissine.
Yep, the Deji is what I got and I can't recommend it.
I will be looking for the Jin Dian brand 1420mAh.

They print whatever they want on the batteries. I even got one which says 1800 mAh ! At least as I said Jin Dian looks professionally made and of reasonable capacity.

Hi vlissine, can you share the link once again? The link from the other thread is dead and I can't seem to find Jin Dian battery on ebay.

I did a comparison between three types of batteries here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=920930
May I ask someone with DEJI battery to repeat my test, so that we can compare the results?
Btw, the test showed that Jin Dian is not that good as I percieved. JPT is much better.

sorry, duplicate post

Im gonna buy a new battery so Ill browse the local china stores and check whats around, if nothing fits ill grab that deji from website, will post tests later.

Ordered the Deji battery from Dinodirect. It's already at Brazil. Waiting customs to finally get it.

It's more performance then original battery

I have a Deji, and it's good. I've used it for 9+ months now and it's a good stock replacement. Performance for the 1st few months were great, but now it can only last 17 - 20 hours. before it could do 24ish.
The Deji quality looks better than the crap you get on ebay and it looks like a legit china battery brand. Comes in a metal case and some warranty cards.
Who cares of the numbers are fake. the battery isn't that expensive anyway. it's atleast as good as stock.

about two month ago, i bougt a deji bst-38 battery at dinodirect and i can agree, that u have more battery-performane.
my experience is, that the deji let my x10mini pro about 4h longer online than the original battery of se.
and for this price. WOW!!

Question About 1350 mAh Battery from Amazon

Hello all,
I just bought the 1350 mAh battery from Amazon, but when I opened it I got a little concerned: The battery is half the size in length, and a bit thicker than the original. Moreover, it is a bit wider, making me wonder whether it can fit inside the battery compartment. My most serious concern though, is whether it works properly with the TD2, or it might cause any harm.
Has anybody here tried it? Any feedback?
if it is smaller then it is not for d2.
I see . So it seems I am the only one who bought this and got conned?
The only battery I found on Amazon is for the Diamond, not for the Diamond 2.
I had a Diamond before and the battery does not fit at all in the Diamond 2.
Maybe you can send it back and get your money back.
This the battery I bought:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002AANPYG/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
As you can see, it states clearly that it is a TD2 battery. My problem is that I cannot return it to them without proof that it is improper, and I am not even sure about this (since I have not tested it, and I am afraid to do so) at the moment...

Just sending HxWxL and the markings/serial numbers of the battery you have received should be enough to be sure you have received the same).
I am very interested in how things will turn out, I was considering buying the same battery...

Can you tell how the new battery compare to the stock one? Increased battery life? Faster/slower charging? Fit the same?
Thanks!
Fit is identical to the original. When I bought it is was half-charged, so I cannot compare charging time yet... Regarding battery life, the first impressions confirm that it does seem to last longer.
Great.. do keep us posted abt the battery.
Extra 240mAh at the same size at that price seems very tempting..
Thanks!

any pictures with this battery installed??
Does anyone know what is the normal charging time for a 1350mAh battery? I noticed that it needs a couple of hours... Is this normal? Does the fact that it is still new has anything to do with it?
I also noticed that the battery percentage gets up to 99% instead of 100%... Is this of any significance?
A couple of hours seems normal, it depends a little bit on your charger (faster with the htc one than charging from your laptop for example), and also if u sue your device when charging (then it is slower), or even the room temperature.
99% seems strange though, with my original battery, I always reach 100% eventually...and I suspect it goes a little higher than that: the time to go from 100% to 99% is much much longer than for going from 99% to 98% ;-)
Well, it does stay at 99% even if I leave it the whole night charging with the HTC charger...
Maybe it's a bug of the battery icon? I am using the one suggested in this forum, that has percentages and different colors.

[Q] Which replacement battery to buy?

my battery last about 8hrs with barely no use. with average whatsapp and email i'd be lucky to get 3-4hrs. I've already tried every trick listed in the forum to extend batt life. it turns off randomly under heavy use (camera or video playback, games, etc). those things work when its on the charger.
I've decided to replace the battery and my back cover that doesn't seat properly anymore. i wanted to know if anyone have purchased the extend battery; and that back cover looks alot bigger than the original.
is it worth it? amazon.com item # B002MPY4BW
or should i just buy the standard replacement battery? amazon item # B001IF277K
what BST is the battery and what is the v.??

The original battery is too small.
They may have been built in a SE factory but the current rating is too low for the x10's demands.
SE would have solved many problems by just using a larger cell.
The x10 sometimes requests more current that what those poor cells could supply.
Due to a overly hungry GSM 3G radio.

Yes, that makes sense, but is there any sort of guarantee that these no-name batteries use actually larger cells and produce higher rating?
All I'm saying is I am a bit reluctant to trust cheap so-called extended batteries.
i think the original batteries are weak too. don't even have 3G here. at first it lasted a full day with just music, texting and calls. once i added data it dropped more than half.
know whats odd tho.. at home on wifi i get longer battery life. i think it has something to do with this mobile data service.

I am quite sure that this is fake.
You can't have 1200mAh and 2430mAh batteries in the same size, while the bigger one has 2 times more juice.
You can't put 2 times more stuff in a full box, can't you?
Actually, would like to hear, if anything went better with the battery
I bought that battery 3 month ago and it isnt different to the stock battery so i agree to Someguyfromhell.

Is This Cheap Battery Any Good?

Hey,
I was trawling the internet for some cheap extended batteries. (my only other experience with them was the official HTC one for the HD2).
I heard someone saying that there is a good 3500mah one going on Amazon for £11. I'm presuming he meant this as it is the first result: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ecell-3500M...A9ZW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333452409&sr=8-1
After a quick search on ebay I found the same battery for £5.99! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3500mah-H...ltDomain_3&hash=item256aa12a8e#ht_2235wt_1024
But is it any good? Has anyone had any prior experience with unbranded batteries?

I got this on amazon and has been doing calibration with the battery monitor widget and its calibrating out to at least 2500mah. One peculiar thing is the first 40% or so drop by very fast, but then from 50-30 percent it last a lot longer, this has been notice by another poster also. the battery door is also decent, first generation soft touch rubber coating type material and not as ugly as the Seidio door

You buy many spare batteries for the amount an original battery costs. One spare battery made in China is about € 2,50.
What the real capacity is doesn't matter, as long it does it job as spare battery, you can always order a second one.
Also would it be better to buy the 3500mah and use that as primary. or buy something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Qual...ultDomain_3&hash=item43ab4ef97d#ht_2079wt_805
And use it as a secondary battery? Which would provide the best overall battery life?

that is hard to say, because everybody usage pattern is different, but even if its only 2500mah it still comes to 50% more capacity then the stock 1700mah.
Last night charge cycle adjust it to about 2700 mah, I don't think its settle down yet, seem the more charge history the widget collect the more accurate the calibration should be.

Guys dont trust some of these batteries. I bought a few of these similar type batteries cause they were really cheap 2 for $9.99 with charger. This has been discussed to death already. I bought another set of 3x + 1 charger. They didnt last long at all. I peeled the stickers on all of them at they were all had 1000mah stamped on it but the sticker says 1800mah. This has been pointed out here before too. It was a complete waste of time and a hassle trying to get my $ back. Seller didnt bother taking the batteries back. For the total of $20 I spent and headache I couldve just bought and anker or chichitec. Which I did. I bought 2x 1900mah anker + charger for 24.99 a while back and they have been great. Been using them for 10 months now and last slightly longer than stock. I will look for the thread so you guys can do some reading but it did get pretty lengthy. Spend the extra $5 or even $10 and dont go for these cheap batteries.
Here's the thread. Take time to read it and it may be worth your trouble later down the road.

Battery replacement

Can anyone recommend a spare battery which is of the same quality as the original battery? I have tried several batteries from aliexpress etc., but none of them is really good.
You guys still use the original battery?
I tried, also as you did, to replace the battery finding one on aliexpress at the cost of 9 USD. Battery capacity was near the original one (80%), and I had to come back on the original, because the newer makes me feel the system more laggy. So, unless you don't want to spend 40 $ to buy a verified battery for the zuk, is really difficult to find something that seems to be like the original. Worth it?
Don't know, i'm on mine, with 8 hrs of usage & barely 2 hrs of SOT. Waiting to change it ASAP. In conclusion, i'm really frustrated, 'cause i love this SD820 Adreno 530 5" smartphone, but it has to die.
How do one even begin to measure the capacity of a replacement battery? Im still using the original battery and yeah, at max I can get a little more than 3h sot out of my phone after 2 years of usage. Do something resource intensive and I'm looking at 2h or less
Still, I'm kinda used to this kind of weak battery life before and can still get by, plus looking and replacing the battery is a bit of a pain so I'm not replacing it yet

Thanks for feedback, pls share after few more days of usage.
Aliexpress reviews are also good with many sharing Accubattery stats with battery capacity > 3500 mAh like you shared too.
The battery is very good, still shows 105% battery life in accu battery, about 5-7 hours of SOT without gaming and sim card. It's a secondary device.

Thanks for swift feedback. Can you pls check, next time when you use phone if there are sudden discharge or extremely fast charge?
I recently purchased a new battery from lenovo service center for Rs. 1320 (18 $) as the seller on aliexpress(Lehehe) wasn't shipping to India and the one's available on amazon didn't seem very good .
I just called the lenovo service nearest to my place and got the new battery in just 1hr. Just mentioning it as another alternative for you guys. Its only been a day but I've added the Ss.

Thanks for this feedback, this includes cost of putting new battery etc too? Any warranty?
I checked too and seems that batteries are no longer shipped to India from China. For my Redmi Note 3 I see same issue - can't be shipped
