Since updating to 2.1 yesterday I regularly get "Unable to send message" when replying to text messages recieved, I have full signal and try over and over again and it still fails
Creating a new message seems to work but this is a real pain!
Anyone else have this happen? Any solutions?

Been getting these more frequent and I am on the official unbranded ROM.
Same thing with me after update to nordic. Hoping for a solution...

That refers to sending long text messages, not a problem replying to a message received.

Is anyone else getting really annoyed by the fact that you can't tell what time you received a text on the previous day? Whatever way you try to look at it, it just says "Yesterday"!!
The date IS in the database.
Am I missing something really simple here?
Yes it's very annoying, especially when you check just after midnight and you have no idea when your most recent texts were sent / received.
Maybe a fix will be released, who knows.

I don't want to rock the boat with any other SMS software yet. I've only just got the missing SMS problem resolved!
Hi all! Just installed Oodie MIUI rom and it's superb! My Xperia is a lot faster and smooth than ever! I'm just experiencing one problem: I can't receive SMS. Sending is alright, the problem is receive a message. And it started from nowhere today: send a message to my brother, he answered to me but the message never came. Help pls =/

Did You change any settings in the firewall apk?
Yes, but the problem persists.

I had same problem I took battery and sim out for a min or so and then reflashed the rom wipe cache battery stats etc then things were fine!

Didn't You set to block all of the incoming messages in Firewall?

I had a problem both when sending
and receiving SMS. I found out that
it was because of the multilingual package. I tried the SMS fix that
was posted a while back, but same
thing happened after a while. The
only solution I found was to flash
the ROM from the beginning and
then restore my apps with titanium.
Only after I saw that everything was OK (including SMS) I flashed the
multilingual file.

Some time ago an mesage appeared to me asking if I wanted to receive a sms... then when i was to click in allow, the time runs out and then i wasn't able to re eive any sms =/ I think it was a firewall thing, but I can't find the option to allow anymore... what do I habe to do?
In some custom roms it is natural to have firewall,
First you search your menu for an app named firewall,maybe you turn it on for your incoming messages.
If it doesn't have any problem,
Another app on your menu named superuser,maybe when the last message apeared that you denied you can fix it there and allow to receive SMS again.

Well, have done what vazelos said and worked the advice thing just appears if your miui rom is in english. So, u have to wait till the advice appears, than allow the receive of sms and after that install the multilanguage pack =D tks for everyone for the help!
Hi guys just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone. I received a text message and my phone randomly spoke the fact I had a message. It said '(insert name) has sent you a text message' I'm pretty sure I didn't change anything and it only done it once

You probably have light flow installed. I would uninstall it as it is causing battery drain issues and other problems.
What is light flow and what does it do?
You may have driving mode enabled. Have a look in the hidden toggles in the notification area.

Hey guys i downloaded and installed the lates XXELL4 BTU stock ever since i installed this i can't verify my whatsapp it fails. Then it says call me to verify i click it it says failed.
I've tried changing roms, changing modems still no luck it is driving me nuts i need my whatsapp for group chats i have on there. And i know my you guys will say uninstall and re install but i tried new whatsapp old whatsapp. I just want to get back on whatsapp.

This happened the first time I transferred my sim to my new phone. For a few days, Whatsapp just wouldn't verify. Then it got automatically sorted out. I have no idea how. Maybe you could just wait it out.

You might want to check out Whatsapp's FAQ pages. I'm sure they'll have something related to this error. Many other people have experienced this. Maybe it's just one of their server errors.

Yeah it didn't help i was on the whatsapp website for hours. Looking at FAQ's. Related Problems etc. I checked my connection's i can make calls and receive calls. Also can send and receive text messages. I checked to see if my roaming was off. I manually selected Vodafone UK. Requested Vodafone settings from Vodafone. I tried to use my mobile internet then my wifi.
I guess i will have to wait it out. It just sucks that all my mates are complaining that i have not been on all day etc.. And my gf and i are having to resort to using ****y kik messenger lol.. I hate texting i just don't know why.. But do like using messengers just feels better and you can backup your convo's easily..
Yeah.. I can understand. It sucks when WhatsApp gives trouble.
You can contact them and ask for a direct solution if it still doesn't work.

Yes, had this for the second time Today. First one was a week ago. I think its just a bug. May be it Is just telling us
"Hey, I checked for updates But you are up to date!" once a week or so...
And since this message comes from the update app, it starts when you click it...
My theory...
If the message comes again, please send me a Screenshot. I will try to translate this.
