yay! I was just looking around the app store and saw it there lol awesome. But I wonder why sometimes a level will lag on our phone. We have killer specs so you would think lag in a game would be rare but I guess angry birds uses a lot of the graphics or something? Dunno but either way great game!

I haven't seen any lag yet (only played the first few levels so far), but this version seems more difficult than the original one. That's not a complaint though.

Feel free to list any games at all, as I am looking for suggestions to explore the gpu possibilities with this phone... Plus for some weird reason it seems like market doesn't have many 3D intense games to take advantage of.... I'm running all stock no playststion emukators or any other stuff.

Quake 3 is the only thing that manages to use the GPU. Everything else is a iPhone ported eyesore.
Can't wait for higher end Android phones to get some marketshare so developers actually make games that use the hardware.
(I'd put PSX4Droid at 2nd, but it's a bit sluggish even on the Vibrant)

Since it plays on my Nexus S just as good if not better then my Ipod Touch. I would bet that it Plays great on this phone too.

I actually heard a guy talking on youtube unboxing this phone saying it benchmarks better 3d than the tegra 2. I hope nvidia is fail because motorola is trying to stay afloat with it.
Like arcade/light gun shooters. But it'd be more of "point and click", I guess. I'm not really a big fan of shooters like N.O.V.A. and the like cause they're awkward to play.
I was just thinking about this and cursory searches in the Marketplace and on the internet didn't really net me anything relevant.

I'd really love so see some good rail shooters on Android like House of the Dead: Overkill. I think they'd do great on mobile phones since it's so hard to play most games without keyboard controls.
According to Gizmodo in their HTC One X review, the phone had issues playing 3D games. They specifically mentioned Temple Run, and the phone not picking up certain inputs due to the CPU being overloaded or something. Sounds iffy to me, so I'm seeing if anyone is able to replicate this kind of thing with the LTEVO, thanks!

When playing Temple Run, I notice an occasional blip where it hesitates for just a moment. Enough to make you smash into a tree though if you're not careful. Doesn't happen often thought, and I can't find a pattern of when it happens.

Def not bc of lack of power I'm sure they just need to be optimized for the EVO..
If you think about it, there are only three Android phones with HD screens on the market right now. Most games are probably not yet optimized for that resolution as well. Even Apple doesn't have HD screens in their phones yet. Handset HD rendering is a rather novel feature.

I remember when I bought the OG Evo, it seemed to everyone like it was underperforming in the game department. People said it would be fixed with updates and it didn't work because of this or that, but eventually we just realized the hardware wasn't up to snuff. I don't want to make the same mistake with my next purchase, so how bad is it really? Are there any high-end games that run perfectly? How does shadowgun play?
I've played all those games on my 3d ..and they played great..so with a greatly improved CPU and a oc-d gpu its def not hardware ...the s4 is top notch..and ur not go.na have too choice since almost all high end phones coming to the US will utilize the s4

I agree but something is wrong I am having small issues with many games that ran fine on the 3d and OG. For instance just downloaded Nba Jam tonight and it studders and lags the whole time un playable. This game was running pretty good on my EVO last week.
So I agree it is not the hardware but something needs fixed. Sounds like the HD screen issue may be to blame

I will go check it out. I am not saying that it is the issue but someone mentioned it and it sounds possible that these may not be optimized for our screen yet I know when qhd was first hitting the market some apps had trouble with it. It has to be something though because there is no way this hardware cannot run apps that ran fine on my OG it just doesn't add up.
Any one get Demolition Inc working on this thing yet?
Shadowrun plays nice and smooth no issues with that game.

Possible Fix
I don't have the 4g LTE yet I am a current 3D owner. Am trying to decide between GNex and LTEvo but that's another topic...
From what I've read somewhere else (can't quote where from) the fix was to bump your minimum cpu speeds up a notch and will probably fix most/all your lag. Use Antutu or other choice program (rooted only of course) and bump your min clock speed up one or two spots and I bet you don't run into issues.

I was hoping this phone would game better than my gnex but so far it's not doing what I had hoped for. GTA3 has awful audio quality and I have to turn the settings down to low and lower res and other settings to get it to play lag free. I don't think it's any better than my gnex was. I am hoping the game needs an update.

Gentlemen, the phone has not even officially been launched yet.
Once game devs figure it out the games will run fine on our hardware. It is fact that our phones are more powerful than the 3D or the Gnex so it just needs to be optimized. On top of that, imagine how our phones will fly on a nice aosp Rom...

As soon as the bug causing it to crash is fixed, XCOM will be the best game on this tablet IMO.

I just downloaded that and it's crashing also, almost 4 gigs it better be good. Did you try to delete the folder in the root of SD card? I did but still crashes. I'm gonna try to delete then open again, maybe it's like when gta San Andreas came out and you have to delete then re add the folder. When I get home I'll try and see if that worked and report back if it does.

I second that.
Impossible and infinite flight (both with full resolution) works more than great.
NFS Most Wanted works great but not the best on racing games.
Minecraft pocket edition, fancy & smooth. (Playing at full resolution!)
And other games works more than well in this tablet. (I played almost every game I had at 60 fps).

ravensword shadowlands seemed pretty good but i never got around to really playing it as i didnt care for the controls without a controller.
asphalt 8 runs really well for a racing game, but i liked ridge racer slipstream, even through the framerate was horrible.
hill climb racing is always fun and flappy bird is easier on the big screen.
punch hero was one of my favorites on my epic and it runs great.
segas sonic ports run really well but you need a controller. sonic just doesnt lend itself to touchscreens
i really want to try playing square enixs games, like the final fantasy ports and chaos rings, but i dont feel like paying $15 for a game i might play a few times

A good side scrolling runner game that doesnt seem to get any notice is Polara. I got it as the FAOTD, but i really liked it.

Try to play with snex 9x, Neo Emu or Epsxe. You will have a great collection of fighting game like: MM Power Ranger The fighting Edition, GW Endless duel, Last Blade 1,2 So1,2,3,4 many and many :laugh:
