[Q] Circular battery & framework-res.apk - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hello, I'm trying to find a way to put that cool circular battery I see in many screenshots in my status/notification bar. I found this cool website: circle [dot] glx [dot] nl.
However the zip file it returned caused a bootloop on my device. Every time, the phone boots so far that I can see the new icon, but then it crashes and automatically reboots. Do you know how could I solve this annoying bug? Is there an alternative (and safer) way to replace the battery icon in the notification bar?

Try connect via adb shell with
adb bugreport and look what it shows you. Maybe you find something.

Well, there will be almost 20 pages of output in there... I really don't know where to look. Is this helpful?

Do you use this with the stock ROM? I think this won't work because it is not deodexed. Try flashing my AmberHome 1.1 ROM (this is completely deodexed) and then flash your battery icon zip.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot asap, even if I have no idea of what deodexed means.

Any news?

What is deodexed? I didn't know that too.

[MOD/MORPH] Blue Phone apk - updated with a metamorph

This is a mod of the default Phone.apk for the Samsung Vibrant. I just changed a lot of the framework to blue, and it does look very nice (I attached screenshots). This will work on 2.1 (any ROM/firmware, any kernel). Not tested on 2.2, use at own risk.
Please keep in mind, Phone.apk is NOT the dialer (DialerTabActivity.apk). These changes were made to the answer or reject sliders, in-call background and buttons. The white blocks in the screenshots are not part of the modded framework, they are just to respect my fiances privacy
Installation for.apk (ADB and AndroidSDK drivers needed):
1. Check attached screenshots to make sure you like my work before downloading.
2. Download attached BluePhoneMod.zip.
3. Extract .zip file to wherever you want on your PC.
4. Place "Phone.apk" that you extracted from .zip file, and put it in C:/AndroidSDK/tools/
5. Plug phone into PC (dont mount sd card), access ADB via command prompt, then type:
adb push Phone.apk /system/app
6. Reboot phone, and check out your new phone app!
----------
I also attached a .zip file to extract and apply with Metamorph, morph is tested and working on 2.1
AFTER MORPH IS APPLIED YOU MAY GET A LOT OF FORCECLOSE ERRORS. DONT PANIC! JUST REBOOT AND/OR PULL BATTERY. AND THEY WILL GO AWAY AND MORPH CHANGES WILL STILL BE THERE!! ---this happens because Phone.apk is a crucial app to the Android operating system's functionality and morphing it disrupts the app temporarily until a reboot takes place
PS - if anyone would like me to turn this into a morph, let me know.....just thought of that
Yes please do cause I like using metamorph

what ROM are you running, this has only been tested on 2.1....also, its normal after the theme applies for you to lose service momentarily, and maybe even a force close
make a call see if it worked, if you dont see changes, reboot and check again....if not i dont really know whats wrong, cause its wroking fine on my phone

Any Battery Meter for 340?

Is there by any chance that someone is cooking battery meter for at&t 340?
Some one needs to take the 340 rom and fix it up
340 ROM is a good ROM, yeah just needed someone to make some modifications to get the wi-fi hot spot and tethering function again.
Also need the throttled speeds fixed
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I would highly recommend trying to do some stuff yourself. There wasnt anything for the 319 froyo and I wanted a gingerbread notification bar so I made one. It took a lot of reading and searching (and some frustration) but I learned a lot in the process and it was worth it. I would make something for 340 but am too lazy to install and dont want to lose all my customization (319 can't make nandroid backups...)
Here are some links if anyone is interested in getting started:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831715
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841287
Find someone else's customization you want and build off of that to start out (make sure to give them credit if you use any of their stuff)
Fards said the 318 tweaks might work... did any one try it ?

The problem with stock roms is that every time u reboot it, it will flash the recovery .
SO if u flash clockworkmod, it will be erased and stock recovery will be flashed over it .
So the trick is to - boot to fastboot, flash clockworkmod, pull battery , go to clockworkmod ( by holding the vol buttons ) and then flash the necessary files ( in this case battery meter) and then reboot.
So every time u want to flash anything u will have to do this
Hope it helps
You don't have to pull the battery you can use:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x413c reboot
to reboot the phone. Hold down both volume buttons as the phone reboots.
You can also prevent the overwrite of the recovery by renaming the file install-recovery.sh to something else. It's in /system/etc. I just added.orig to the file name.

Any one able to get this work? I tried flash the Batter Meter zip file for Stock 340 thru both CWM Recovery (2501) and SM Recovery (0326-Beta). I got nothing, the battery is still the default stock 340 green icon...
Thanks.
Gopu, any change you can recooking this for me with the following settings? Big Thank you!! I tried using the online kitchen to cook this with the new feature (Patch9 images auto-fix) using framework-res.apk from the Stock 340 ROM with no success...

drgopoos, This is fast and THANK YOU VERY MUCH again!! Unfortunately, I tried with StreakMod Recovery ver 0.3.2.6 Beta, reboot and still the stock battery. No luck but big thank you again.
Anyway, I screwed up the yellow color from 26%-50%; those settings work for black task bar but not white (stock). If you happen to recook Jazzk style (big number battery meter) for Stock 340; use any color scheme you like and I will test and report back for you. I am just happy to have any battery meter in Jazzk style.
I am back to Stock 340 because my Steve 1.8.1 was working really great for a while and now, after one week+, it started to auto shutdown (only a battery pull will it startup pressing power button) or constant reboot. No time to deal with this now and I need a stable phone that works 99.99% of the time.
Anyway, I felt (very subjective) that 340 is better than stock 318 + perf fix. Fast and stable so far - Cant nandroid backup though.

341 = Android 2.2.2 and unlocked - Only good with 322 baseband (no flashing buttons light). Others reported that it has diff version of Dell's UI - Stage (I liked this version better) and very good battery life. And very fast and STABLE!!!!!

I seemed to have got my phone stuck on the boot screen. I was playing around with some mods and I believe one of them wasn't compatible. My phone is rooted.
Any advice on how to get around this?

What were you changing when you broke it? ie. how badly broken is it? If you can get into adb while it's running, you can undo the changes via the shell, and reboot.
If not, then you should re-flash a stock ROM via ODIN (see dev forum for guides) and start again.
I was changing the battery icon and i don't think it was compatible. I'll try re-slashing a stock rom.
Edit: Where can i find a stock ROM? I'm only coming up with modded ones

Signature Line

running h901-10c sirsltus
Phone is fricken amazing but got carried away flashing themes and mods. I have the right Xposed installed but lost the signature line. I had it working but between playing with Lg theme tool and g4 tweak box I cant get anything to show up on that top line.
I have uninstalled Xposed and all mods, still wont work. I re-flashed dirty.. nothing.. So before a reflash the right way I figured I would ask if anybody know of a way. If not.. a wiping I will go

Off hand I don't know the exact files that relate to the secondscreen ui. So personally I would find one of the old xposed second screen fix files or use surrounding info to determine what files relate to the second screen. I would extract those from my current Rom zip, or as near as I can, and write a flushable zip using the needed files. You might be able to use the file explorer in twrp, but I have barely used it and don't know it can replace files like that.

Android P trial Aroma Mod Installer

I am not on Android P dp1 but made some mods based on the Android P apks.
Clock mods
Navbar height adjustment 30-48 dip
Internet Speed indicators
Battery icon remover
3 Minit Battery Mod (install MinitBatteryResources.apk first)
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
Custom one percent batteries
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Colored QS text
3,4,5,6,7 column QS tiles
Navbar swap of back and recents
Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu.
Remove carrier text
Remove NavBar completely, choices of 3,4,5,6,7 column QS.
Invisible home button on far left of status bar option in case LMT or other mods don't start on reboot.
Flash the base first. It is in the first menu. After that you can flash away. No need to boot between flashing. There is a stock restore option as well.
Edit: AOD version clocks show up on lockscreen instead of the system icons. Can't seem to get all off together.

I was really interested in trying this so I flashed the Android P preview to both slots, boot and set up as new device. But then after installing the mod installer I am getting "Your device is corrupt" prompt several times and then it doesn't boot.
Any idea how to avoid this or what caused it?
EDIT: Thought I could just boot back into recovery and flash the stock restore option but I can't get into recovery at all. Even fastboot TWRP image just gets me to the "Your device is corrupt." screen and I cannot proceed. No big deal as I have everything backed up properly, but just wondering how to avoid this next time?

Didn't flash any 3 minute battery stuff. Yes flashed the base first unless I misunderstood how that works. You said flashing base would be at the end but it's the very first thing you have to do before it will continue.
I chose,
WiFi data arrows

Swap navbar buttons
Remove battery icon
7 column QS tile

Thanks for all your help.
EDIT: So its driving me nuts that this isn't working for me so I tried again. Flashed P to both slots WITH wipe ( I NEVER flash without the -w), setup, boot TWRP and installed just the base and reboot and I get the corrupt device error. Got that log too but its too big to upload.
So I can't even get past flashing the base. Seeing as how nobody else is having the problem it must be something I am doing specifically. (although I can't see any fault in my flashing methods). I'm happy to try anything anybody suggests but as things sit now, I give up.

If you flash 7 column remove battery, do not flash the SystemUI 7 column qs at the bottom. I probably should move that option up to the top. That is really for people that are only interested in a 7 col mod and nothing else. Also, you can only select one option per section. It appears you are trying to select more than one in some. Only the last one selected will install.
Hi Tudaviser,
Is there any way to apply different color to different QS toggles only for the round background (e.g wifi and mobile data are blue, battery is green...)?
