Sorry for the delay.
Here is the Skype application file for Tattoo (.apk) file.
I tested it and it's working using SPQRom Froyo 2.2.1 through 3G and WiFi Connection.
When you first start the application and login it might show "Force Close" because Skype is not responding. Just click "Wait" until Skype download all your contacts.
After that use it as normal.

I don't know why but I cannot find 1.0.1 anywhere. I was looking last night but I could not find it. I tried from skype.com/m but again the skype version downloaded was this one..
Are you sure that 1.0.1 is out?
1.0.1 has not come out yet. is there a leaked beta?
Downloaded it from the market. works good, takes some time at first to load contacts - if you have a lot, better check to show only online users.
Lacks settings. It would be great to be able to disable loading chat history. Good to have just in case.

Of course nobody can find it. According the fixes I think they forgot to change .apk file version. Because I had Skype for 1 month now and this version has all this fixes.

Is Skype 1.0.0.614 working on Galaxy S model GT-I9000 version ? When I download it always says "Out of space " although there is alot of sapce..It's driving me crazy )) Any tips or help pleeaaasee ?

so, im running the second leak 2.1 on my eris, when i installed it i was unable to access the "download more widgets" link nor was i able to download the verizon skype program from the link provided when sent a text to 2255, would tell me that i didnt have a certified device
2 days ago i got a alert that more widgets were available, and given access to the "download more widgets" thing, now today i find the link for skype works, but skype still is not in market
just as an fyi to all, to me this tells me the official update is coming very soon

Im still running 1.5 and I installed Skype from the market several days ago.
So far Tango will download but not install.
Newest Version of fring will run but error out on video chat.
Yahoo video chat will freeze.
Anyone have any luck getting Tango Video Chat to install or any video chat program to work on their Archos 70 or 101?

Thank you. I really want to avoid Fring but I guess it's better than nothing at all.
I guess nobody is having luck with any of the other video chat apps, so it's not just me.

its on market but take care, dont use "yahoo msg droid", that dosent support videochat
Anyone have the apk for the video im add-on? I've tried about 7 ways to get to it on the market and for some reason I can't find it. Even links straight from yahoo's website come up empty... Very frustrating.

I just moved the Video add on over from my Incredible as well as yahoo messenger and tested it out. No go for me. I was able to get video calling working, but the cam on the tablet would not output to the other person. Also the cam feed to the tablet was about 2fps and very laggy. Back to the drawing board. I have no use for fring since I'm trying to go from PC to Tab. Let me know if anyone else gets any where with it.
Sorry I just got my 101 yesterday and did not do enough research. Updated to new firmware .71 and messenger works!

Yahoo! Messenger video did not work for me
Those files wouldn't connect for me but after much much searching I found an updated Video plugin but I need the Yahoo! Messenger v1.3.1.apk which seems to be the latest version but that file is a ghost (for me) and as always its not in the Marketplace (also for me)(yes I did the "marketplace fix" and yes I reinitialized) so how's about someone post a new messenger apk if not for me then for all like me
Good news guys. I was able to have the latest version of Tango Video Chat installed and it worked well in my limited testing!!
I imported the backed up .apk from my phone and install was smooth. When it asked for a phone number I used the same number that I use for my cell. Got the verification text with no issues.
I had to restart the application a few times for it to pick up my Tango contacts and once it did, I placed a video call to my fiances iphone and it worked like a charm!
There was a slight delay in audio (to be expected) and video quality was a good as our camera would let it be. Playing with the night settings in the built in camera app helps tremendously.
I'm really happy with how things are progressing on my A70.

can you post what version Tango you used or even better yet post the apk file.
I got the version from Market and it installed fine. Even got the contact of my friends samsung epic (which also has tango installed). Was able to initiate call and it rang on her phone but then archos 70 froze.
That's weird, I downloaded tango from the market and installed and ran normally. I'm using an archos 70. It needed a phone number, so I just put my cell number and I ran a test run with my friend and we video chatted, although we were right next to each other.
It was a bit choppy but usable.
Market version works for me also (A70).

Does anyone else have problems with the latest version of Skype? On my X10 mini, the call recipient can't hear me when I talk to them. I've tried on 3G and WiFi, same result. It worked fine before I updated to the latest version... (And normal calls works fine, so the mic is OK)
It's an unmodded X10 mini with stock SE Android 2.2
you need to update your MIC driver to work with new skype ( it's impossible with sonyericsson ROM ). so install custom rom .
i'm having the latest version om my x10 mini with this custom ROM and every thing work great .

I tried Skype 2.0.0.47, 2.0.0.45, 2.0.0.43 and they don't work...I found Skype v1.0.3 build 1.0.0.983 to be working fine, I don't know if there are more versions in-between

UNBELIEVABLE FAILURE even by gsm call the recipients couldn't hear me after uninstalling the latest Skype version everything is working fine!!! Will never ever use it again...using Viber now

I uninstalled Skype just last night after finding out that it is the number one reason why my phone was crawling along slower than a handicapped snail.
I think that Viber works better as it's designed as a mobile app and not a scaled-down desktop app like Skype.
I have some problems with the tablet mentioned in the post subject. First of all I rooted it today using gingerbreak. It worked. But still using market unlocker it does not change the original market code. The second problem is that when I installed yahoo messenger and the video plugin ... making a video call or a voice call is not working. Using the same version of andoid 2.3.3 and yahoo messenger with video and voice plugin as above (1.6.0)on a LG Optimus one not rooted it works perfectly. Can anyone help me to make it work... or install a custom rom that will make at least the video calling and voice work on yahoo messenger.
P.S. I must specify that using Skype with video calling it works, but only audio. On yahoo doesn't work either of them voice or video.
Anyone please! At least can you provide me with a custom rom and the stepts to install it .. Because now I saw that even I managed to install Adobe flash player 11.1 it seems that it is not working. And I guess that many of the applications are not working because of this fact.

I tried using the latest gapps from goo.im/gapps on Munjeni's CM9 rom and was getting boot loops.
I used th gapps-ics-tiny.zip and was able to boot but calendar does not sync. Doesn't even give me the option for calendar under "Accounts and Sync."
Any else having this problem?

I decided to give it a shot last night. The ROM and gapps in munjeni's thread installed without any issue. I only played with it for about an hour or so, but it was really cool.
Here's hoping the camera and GPS can be worked out soon.
April 13 update
Latest version of menjuni's CM9 working great with a number of fixes:
- GPS working
- Wifi status working

Wallpaper size
I am posting this here because I am not eligible to post on the development site.
I have noticed that all versions of the CM9 ROM have built-in wallpapers that are not properly sized for the Aria. The wallpaper that loads first time it the right size, but once another is loaded, they all appear too big, and you can't go back to the stock ICS wallpaper without reloading the ROM.
Am I missing something?
And please note: I am not complaining. The Aria/CM9 team -- notably WinSuk and Munjeni -- have done a fantastic job and great service for the Aria network.
I decided to give this ICS ROM a try for fun today...after someone mentioned to me that the Captivate and Aria (as old devices) both have ICS.
It seems like it should work fine...for the most part...as an everyday device. As long as you can deal with having no working camera or GPS.
I didn't actually slip my sim card in...since it's not currently my main phone.

Im on winsuks latest cm9. it works great for me except my batter lasts about half the time it lasted with cm7. Does anyone know if munjeni's cm9 is any easier on the battery?
I didn't try WinSuk's ROM yet, I'm running munjeni's ROM as a daily driver. In the build from 27.4., camera and GPS are working; I'm trying now the deodexed built munjeni posted today and see if it works better.

Had s2e working fine but when I updated to the latest version (may 10th) I cant seem to use it anymore. it just keeps asking for root access and the app never actually opens. is anyone else having this problem?

Yes i had the same issue, run "fix permissions" in rom manager, i tried that option in cwm and it did not work. I am back on cm7 because for some reason i wasnt able to receive calls, i was able to make calls, send and receive messages etc...
fix permissions did not help. however I was able to get s2e to work by using superSU from the play store.
Haven't tested out calling/messaging yet
call and messaging send/receiving also seems to work for me.

I got the problem, too. For me the solution was to reinstall the su binary using the update option in the settings menu of superuser.

is anyone else having problems recieving MMS messages. it shows up with a download button but it is unable to download. Works ok if I use go sms but I would prefer to just use stock
