Has anyone got the gingerbread launcher to work on the X10 or any other 2.1 device. It says that it is 2.2/2.1 compatible but every time I run the apk, it says that there is a problem parsing the package or something?
im getting the same error. Really sucks, cause I would love to have the launcher.
Specially since lame TMOBILE only gave the 2.2 update to MyTOuch3G and not the MT Slide!

Hi, I want to see how Mediascape runs in Android 2.3.3, but I wanted to know if it it's possible to get the app from an X10 so I can install it on my X10 running 2.3.3. In case I can, do I need to root?

MediaScape won't install on Xperia 2.3.3
I'm dealing with the same problem with my Sony Xperia 2.3 I have Timescape but i don't have MediaScape. So i tried downloading the Mediascape apk. from the web , and install it to the sd card but it replies application won't install
Anyone go ideas
I also want mediascpe on 2.3.3.

I'm currently on GingerBlur v4.5 right now and kind of want to update to 2.3.4 (some little things in GingerBlur just don't seem to work very well -- phone doesn't vibrate when I receive text messages, for example).
I'm aware that I need to go back to stock and then do the OTA update, but would doing so stop me from being able to root/theme? I'm excited for CM7 to be released, but kinks are still being worked out and I don't want to install anything that isn't at least in the "beta" stage, which I assume to be relatively stable.
Would reflashing (?) GingerBlur fix some of the issues I have or should I update to 2.3.4?
Also, is there any way to 'theme' Motoblur? I know of ADWLauncher and things like that, but I'd like everything else to look as close to vanilla Gingerbread as possible as well.. many thanks
When you say stock do you mean AOSP or Blurred 2.3.4? CM7 is the only thing sporting 2.3.5 that I'm aware of.
The latest stock version from Motorola is 2.3.4.

My friend has a Galaxy S and never updated the OS so it was 2.1 Eclair?
Last night, using KIES, we could update to 2.2 Froyo and then on to 2.3 Gingerbread. The dandelion wallpaper disappeared and was not in the market so I found it on the internet and downloaded it.
It doesn't run on her phone. I tried it on my SE Arc too and it doesn't load. Just get the 'force close' message.
I know she will enjoy setting up 2.3 to her liking, but she did like the dandelions!

yes its possible that a lwp will be incompatible with different api levels. im afraid youll never be able to use that wallpaper again.

Ok, as I didn't got any answers on last post about arc v2 launcher on MM's CM7, I decided to ask again, so here it is: I got MM's CM 7.2 rom on my x10 and I want to know is it possible and how to install one of these homescreens on that rom, beacuse when I try to install it it just says "application not installed" and it can't be installed, I even tried to replace this with one in system folder and fixing perms, still don't work, every else is working if it's not sony ericsson, and if it can't be installed, can any1 make it for that rom beacuse I don't really understand making homecreens or any other apk's, to be more precise, I want this one
Im trying to get next launcher 3d (full) onto my phone (optimus elite), using blackmart alpha. ive downloaded the lite version, and when i install the full using blackmart, its in a forgien language and doesnt seem to work or do anything at all. am i missing something or doing something wrong? help!!
