yeah thats why i choose android for my main phone - because of the open source philosophy, its no about makin money dude its about helpin each other crack our devices and givin two fingers to the folk who lock them down
can anyone at all help me sim unlock my phone for free

Android being open has nothing to do with unlocking the phone...
Im talking about the mindset of the developers.

So I bought my PayG Streak from 02 the other day.
I knew it was locked to 02 but I figured someone smart enough here would find an unlock.
I have the mental capacity to take on such a task myself but Ive never attempted it before.
I put a T-mobile sim into my streak and it asks for network unlock but if i Hit cancel it takes me straight into my fully working phone (bar the sim).
So my question is, How is the Dell streak locked? Is it via a chip or piece of hardware inside the device? or is it purely based on the ROM side of things?
Considering I can get into the phone and use wifi etc without the sim would it be possible to create a bit of software that executes and enables the sim to work? every time you reboot the device per say).
And Is anyone in here actually working on this? I'd like to know to share idea's on exploiting the device to allow any sim.

Checked and there is nothing regarding unlocking Dell Streak.

No it doesn’t say anything about unlocking the DELL Streak but it does explain the difference between ‘root’ and ‘carrier unlock’ maybe I should have been a bit more specific in my reply, I am in no way affiliated with www.theunlockr.com and was just trying to be helpful as I recall an explanation between the two on there.
I could only put up the main site as that is all I could remember if it wasn’t any help next time try this www.Google.com

Hang on a minute youth, thats a bit harsh! If you go to 'Unlock my phone' they tell you they can unlock almost and phone. Its definately not spam! Its definately worth a try contacting these guys to see what they can do for us Streak owners.

Mail me ur id and please do tell me ur country model, u can find it in SPL for that
hold down the volume down button and press the power button tell me the first 2 line code. i'll provide you the link

All documents are encrypted so , one won't be ablw to open it
i can make there system work for the same (no money issue)

and for that there is ASP i don't think u will be able to get it.

Well, if you are doing this private I cannot know if that is true. My interpretation can be that you are breaching rule 11 (since you are not proving the opposite).
Also this falls in spamming since you are using xda to recruit discussions to your personal email and not in xda.

You need to actually give us some information before we can start to help. Explain what you're trying to do, and how you're trying to do it.
Some newer SGS2's cant be unlocked using that method, or so people say.
The app linked above worked perfectly for me.
I have just got a brand new replacement from o2 today and I have tried the SGS2 unlock app and it hasn't worked it keeps saying "No unlock code found "
I really need it unlocking or it is uselsss :/
O2 give unlock codes upon request - they started doing it a couple of years ago. It can take a little while though, but at least it will definitely work.

If the phone is O2 branded, then they supply you with the unlock code, not 3.

Long story short...you can't open bootloader, Huawei stopped selling bootloader codes sometime ago.

sorry but I'm a stubborn Genoese and I want to be able to remove the personalization that gives me vodafone and to do this you need these roots.
I want to clarify that I am not talking about the vodafone brand, so the logo when I turn on etc. but the line that appears above the firmware code VDF.it etc.

hello I wanted to tell you that I tried to call the huawei italia service center directly, who told me that they cannot directly provide the unlock code from their website and try to go to a service center in my city and try to see if they they can give it to me. Do you think it is feasible or stupid?
How can I unlock an OPPO Reno2 Z, cph1951 (pattern unknow).
I can not do master reset (it asks for the pattern again), download mode and fastboot seems to be locked (closed). If I try to enter download mode the phone just reboots.

you arent going to get any answers at all as it looks like you are trying to unlock a stolen device.
Dear skimminstones, please do not suppose nonexistent things. I have a shop where parents of kids or elders of 80 year are coming with different sort of problems caused by do not knowing how to use their gadgets.... And we have to help each of them. If you dont want people to question you then dont post on an open forum asking how to unlock a locked phone. Youre not much of a shop if you ask on forums how to do things.
Do you actually charge money to these people for your help when all you do is ask on forums how to fix things?
