Is there a theme anyone would be interested in seeing ported over for the shift? Ill add a poll to this once there are some suggestions

I've been running Warm 2.2 for AOSP on my Hero. I would rather see the ROM, but if worse comes to worst I wouldn't mind seeing the theme ported.
I also like the look of the Tangerine theme for CM6. I believe I saw that on the G2 forum.

I am going to try and get my feet wet with development. I agree Warm. 2.2 is great I've run it a few times on the EVO. I'll see what I can see.
the only problem i think is that warm 2.2 is so heavily themed that it slows down the device. i tried it out on my evo and it definitely felt slower
i've had some experience themeing, ill help with a port or if there is an abundance of requests ill pick one up from here.... but i too wanna get into development.
I don't know if this would be a theme or not. How about something (I prefer) completely stock except for one thing; increase the font size by maybe two points from what it is now. I'm a blind old fart that needs to get examined for a new prescription for contacts and glasses. Hee hee

Again, I don't know if this is a theme either. How about all the main stock apps and related that are black on white to inverted white on black. A dark theme. Hell, I'd even like a black and white dark theme with no colors. Some might think that to be dumb or boring but I would like it at least. It doesn't need eye candy either. Conservative black and white on the stock theme.
I may be wrong but I think the less eye candy and animations, the snappier the os/gui might be. Give them cpu cycles to a program that needs it.

It might slow it down a bit but not enough to matter in my opinion, I lovvvved the theme, really appealing compared to all others I came by....Myns is definitely one I would love to see if not the whole Rom ported.
Oh and you could always turn the animations off, I always did...I liked the look, so not having animations on transitions didn't really bother me.

I wish i kept it updated. but here it is if any of your themers are interested in porting. i could probably make it work on your phone too if noone is cool enough to do so lol just drop me a pm or somethin.

I've had the idea of a rasta colored theme for Loki the whole time I've been putting the rom out, just haven't had the time to play with it yet. I would welcome anyone who has the time and desire to port this to Loki. 2.2.1 version dropping soon, but for someone who wants to theme it I'd send ya copies of my framework for 2.2.1 for the theme. PM me.
I'm going to give it a shot because my girl would LOVE this on her phone, and if I show her I have it, her reaction will make the work worth it lol

be advised, i will only be doing framework and twframework at first. I have an interview tomorrow morning and possibly an ass-ton of training to do for a security job that will last 2 weeks. I am going to see what I can get done in my free time, as I'm also juggling a new girlfriend (and dealing with a desperate ex-boyfriend proposing to her everyday), a truck payment I don't have $ for at the moment, and I'm trying to organize to move by the end of the month.
So, as you can see, I dig the Rasta theme idea for a simple reason. Those are the colors I see when I wind down anyways.

Any new person who decides they want to create a theme or even request an app! Don't be afraid to just post! now of course make sure to look around before you do but Seriously! I was scared of being shot down for my requests for almost 3 months before i got the Bojangles to post!

I think the theme looks great. I agree with DoctorComrade, though. While I don't have the slightest objection to "ganja", I wouldn't want that on my phone all the time. I would change the wallpaper and the lock ring. I very much like how it looks in general, though.

Definitely. One of the nicest looking Sense themes I have seen.
I see.. thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of posting the same theme but removing everything that deals with marijuana. Maybe name it (MattedGreens) or something for the people who like the color but can't stand the Ganja all day.

I'd be willing to bet that I'm not the only person that thinks so. Matted Greens would be perfect. (and the sidebar about its genesis wouldn't be a bad story to tell, also.)
I'm about sick to death of the color blue, what with all this Honeycomb stuff around. That olivey-MJ green looks amazing to me.

With the help of many from this thread and some people that i sent pm's to that took the time to help me out (waaaayyy to many to list)and some people that i kanged a few things from(mayfield's weather icons,eg&jeffs dialer, and a few icons here and there(cant remember where their all from, so if you see something that i "borrowed from you please tell me and i'll give proper credit).
I decided to release my first theme(so NO it's not prefect, yet), and there may be a few green items i missed, but here she is let me know what you think. Its based on warm 2.3 but should work on cleanrom 2.9 and up. screen shots below. As i learn more i'll update more and add more colors and icons.

I did a purple one for the OG evo, and I remember using a wallpaper fom HTC hub that kicked ass, it should be under colors in HTC hub(just hit wallpapers, Get more)

I want to go into my Rom's theme and change everything ( lock, keypads, numpads, icons, text, ect.) to an only three color theme. Is it possible to do that without 100 hours of work? I want a black background with red letters, icons, borders and numbers with white text windows with black and red text input. I would like either a step by step tutorial (because I'm not too bright) or someone who can do it for me Thanks!
How about 200 hrs of work, may I suggest viper3d rom 4.1 sense, different skins can be applied. You can also try a 3rd party launcher ie go, nova or adw, just to mention a few
( Don't ask me for help, as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh!!!)
Theme Modification Request
I tried a few different roms and while you can go in and add skins and such you have to DL 8-12 apps to cover everything and some of them don't work well with others. Thanks anyway.....even though you don't care if I blow my phone up :laugh::laugh::laugh:
It sounds like inbreded ROM would be perfect for you. Also if you want to learn how to theme check out the learn how to theme sticky. Great thread...

What is "inbreaded Rom"? If you feel like elaborating I would appreciate it. I did read up on building roms and "whew" I better start off a little slower . I am very interested though. Logically speaking, it doesn't seem that it should be that difficult to, lets say, "take an existing rom and find all the files that has to do with color assignments and change them to the values that you want". I know it sounds way easier than it actually is. I still wouldn't mind donating to someone who could handle this "little bit" for me or give me one thats close and tell me how to change the rest. Thanks again for your reply.

It must be a real pain, enough so that no one wants to do it for me. Several of my friends share the interest in a more simplified but personalized color scheme for phones. Most of them are like me in that only three colors are desired and couple want four. I wonder if someone could build a program that would allow you to change the color of every aspect of your phones screens (like how you customize Windows), I can't imagine it not being a hit. I saw one having to do with Panda but it sucked and I can't seem to get the Kingdom app to work. If you get bored one day and feel like a challenge, well, I'll be here and I'll still donate

Oh yeah, rooted and s-off. It was an EVO V but I turned it into a 3D because I wanted to flash it to another carrier and some other stuff and the flashing experts said turning it into a 3D would make things easier. I've been experimenting with a few Roms but none have everything I want...I'm a bit picky Anyway, whatever else I need to do just let me know.

Devo3d, you are lucky to have somebody willing to work on your ideal theme for free. Lol Even though he's not asking for anything, you should just buy him a 12 pack if he drinks, or a case a monster

I know I'm lucky for his willingness to help me out. I've been all over trying to get someone to do it for days......so trust me, I know. By the way, on every post everywhere I submitted I always said that I would "donate". I probably can't afford what the work is actually worth but I'm no chump.
