Hello devs.. i am currently running the 7/11/10 version of slideme mr1 v4.. is it possible to take the messaging app, the lockscreen and the slide left to answer right to decline phone feature and put it into the slide mr 1 rom? I l know cm 6 is froyo based but the applications i seek are not.. (at least i dont think so) i know the gmail app is 2.2 only for sure. Can i take the phone.apk from cyan and use it in mr1 v4? Would that change the lockscreen also? And does anyone know how i can install the htc calendar that came wit the slide? It has the refresh option and kind of a black outer shell in the UI. And for some reason i cant install the gallery 3d.apk even though the change log says it was removed. genius button too. Thanks in advance ! You guys are always a big help when i get jammed up
I was wondering the same thing on a few options. Basically I just wanted the Facebook/Contact intergration add and I would be set with that.
Try it out and test your results... pull the apks from one update.zip and put them into the other update.zip then flash;
or .. pull the apks reboot into recovery adb push them to the /system/app folder...
post your results;
questions go in Q&A... a lot of these questions about compatability you just won't get an answer to; you have to test them yourself...
the reboot script i posted I straight up pulled out of a random rom for a samsung moment...

Don't bother....Sense apps do not work on roms they didn't come from....Especially since one is 2.2 and 2.1...Apps aren't all just backwards compatible, you cant pull rosie and put it into Cm6..Nope that wont work, sense apps rely on the "HTC" framework, which isn't in Vanilla roms. And no Cyan cant add the framework(exc htcmusic/IME). Sense is closed sourced unlike android.

Thanks for your feedback ! But you must have misread... i dont want to put sense apps on cyan 6. I want the lockscreen and the phone settings from cyan 6 to use on the 2.1 rom. I also would like to get the htc calendar back on the 2.1 rom im running because it originally came with the phone but for some reason this has just the regular calendar. And this 2.1 mr1 v4 rom is based off of the original rom that the slide came with so it should work. Does anyone know what apk has the information for how you answer or reject calls upon receiving them? Is it dialer or phone.apk ? Thx !
I am not 100 % sure but i think I remember reading that if you remove the lockscreen.apk that it will force the default android lockscreen ( the one you want to work) to work. If that doesnt work then I swear I can remeber one of clays roms had the expresso lockscreen taken out so if it is a APK then you can get it from there. I dnt have tome to check it out right now, but might be able to later.
Ok so i removed the htclockscreen.apk and the phone booted correctly.. but the lockscreen is now out of wack lol.. it still moves up and down like the original htc lock screen but it has the buttons of the lockscreen i want. so i cant slide left to right, i still slide up and down except it has the other buttons that you see in cyanogen 6 2.2 froyo
also i used the zip packeage that was provided at the top of that thread to change back to default lockscreen.. it worked but only to unlock the phone... i need the same thing for when i receive a call.. i want to slide left or right, not up or down to decline or answer calls
I was really hoping it woukd work. I wanted the original loccscreen too. Atleast you stopped me from trying now. There is. Neww rom out that mau be what you want but haven't had time to try it out myself yet.
yea me too... my phone is out of commission now because of removing all the apks and pushing and pulling and mixing rom elements lol ! ill flash a new zip soon and be back to normal tho.. which rom is that you speak of my good sir?
I've seen threads in other forums for other devices where they just modified a file with like one line of code to tell the phone to put the clock off screen, also i heard that CM 6.1 will have this option I was just wondering if someone could create a CWM flashable zip for me that I could use that would remove the clock from the task bar and make it so the first this was the battery indicator?
I'm on the frankin-twiz final rom btw don't know if this would effect the ability to do this or anything?

I have been dying to figure out how to remove the taskbar clock if at all possible, didn't wanna start another thread as I noticed it was asked sometime ago, just wanted to get an UPDATE if someone could reply with some great solutions that would be great. Running the Newest Bionix-V ROM FYI

looks like its not a zip you can flash in CWM you just extract and push. looks pretty simple i didnt try it myself i kinda like the clock in the bar but looks like others are having no problem according to the thread.
I've done this and confirm its crazy easy. just move the service.jar to system/framework and reboot. reboot will take like 5 minutes, dont panic.

Hi guys, does anyone know where to get default HTC green theme for Windows Mobile 6.5.x? I am searching for it for three days without success :-(
Next question should be default HTC dialer. Rather with conference call switch, but not really necessary. I am using Energy Reference ROM and the dialer is really ugly :-(
I want to achieve more likely stock 6.5.x ROM.

That theme as such doesnt really exist as a standalone item.
The differences are because of the energy rom your running, where NRGZ has changed the htc green to his own shade of blue......
I think there used to be a version of this Rom with the green left in but Im not sure if its still supported/available........
Your best bet might be to go for a ROM like one of Dutty's or Artemis which retains the close to stock look and should still be as snappy and unbloated as an energy ROM.........

Basically this theme is AOSP ICS (or at least as much as I can theme so far) for Sense 3.6.
The status icons (data, signal, alarm, sync, etc.) as well as the notification bar/tray and most of the Sense toggles and boxes have been themed to ICS blue. This is a combination of my work from combining elements from AOSP source and the modified Sense elements from shnizlon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470497).

5/7/12 - fixed quick contact elements, fixed alarm clock color to ICS blue, fixed loading spinner to stock color
5/6/12 - updated to new ICS leak framework (this only works on new ICS leak 2.14.531.3), fixed status bar clock color, corrected theme inconsistencies with dialog boxes, fixed a few other icons and elements to ICS blue
4/27/12 - fixed quick contact menu, fixed airplane mode to AOSP, corrected toggle switch color, changed volume slider button, corrected volume bar color, fixed the quick boot menu again
4/26/12 - fixed gps icons to AOSP, corrected headphones icons, fixed reboot menu icons, fixed download/upload animations to blue, corrected sync icon, corrected a few more notification tray elements, added AOSP icons in separate flashable zip, added separate battery percents zip
4/25/12 - Initial release. Most status bar, notification tray and toggles have been themed

I've tried a couple from there and they lock me up every time. I'll wait for our own, not from the Sensation.

Same here, all I have gotten so far is stuck at the boot animation.
wow thats weird. After you installed the themes like a regular apk, did you switch to the purple passion one in themes. no need to restart .
Been a looooong day for me, it was the battery icons I tried that wouldn't boot. Slap to my head for that.
Haha i understand. Before i cooked up my own battery mod i tried a battery mod from other there toooo . I got stuck at the boot screen too . i almost panicked because i didnt make a nanroid . i had to adb push the files through recovery to fix it. Sensation Battery mod = Bad . If you want i could always use UOT to make the battery mod you wanted from there . thats all they are anyway.
I got one that's the circle with digital but the numbers are blue and it's not easy to see. I was looking for one with white letters and that's how I got stuck trying a few. The one called revolution was the one I wanted but, nope.
Did you guys read the op? This one is made for our phones. Works great!

I have also updated the browser, calculator, calendar, camera, contacts (people), dialer, mail, messages, settings and clock icons to ICS stock. I will give to electronicrice to possibly include in his next release.
I have searched and cant find one and i'd really like some help with this. I've tried modding the SystemUI.apk myself with no luck, just leads to "SystemUI has stopped working" errors. Things I have tried...
-changing all of the images in SystemUI.apk
-flashing a SystemUI.apk with the theme from another ROM (Sense 3.6 and 4.0)
-attempted to decompile framework-res.apk and htcframework-res.apk (errors everywhere)
I guess Sense 4 is a different beast. Currently running NightmareSense. I'm looking to make it look like this... http://www.android.com/about/ice-cream-sandwich/

If you want you make your rom look like that flash fourth bar infusion. It is themed to look as close to vanilla Android as possible.
Flashing that status bar linked in the previous post won't work for sense 4. I tried doing the same it just causes the status bar to force close over and over again. You might want to try downloading omega status bar from the play store.

Well I managed to theme the entire status bar except for the clock, check it out...
Edit: So nobody knows how to edit the color of the clock or rather has an easy way of doing it? I'm having trouble decompiling the SystemUI.apk to get to the xml files.

that's look awesome you can always ask the moderator here for this thread like MIKE , Danny those guys are awesome will help you A.S.A.P like finding a person for you most people that mod are usually busy with real life so it's hard for them to keep track for everything n every question & your question is very much part of there job so ask Mike or Danny my advice & can't wait to try also try asking in rom threads maybe someone will notice :good:
