TG01 wont power on this morning following overnight charge - TG01 General

I powered off the phone last night and left on charge. Unplugged and tried to power on this morning and nothing happened.
Ive gotten to work now and plugged it back in and even with power connected it will not start.
Additionally the power light occasionally blinks off and back on twice in succession.
*UPDATE* insanely the problem i Had with both usb and mains intermittently not charging (or al least showing the red charging light) has gone but the phone still wont boot.
I have followed some of the soft reset advice holding in the power button for two seconds and the reset for 10 and apart from the power light flashing nothing else is happening

I am not sure Your battery was charging at the night. You wrote "and left on charge" but did You notice tg01 started to charge ?
Such effects with blinking leds are typically met on some tg01's when battery has been discharged too much. There is a problem to charge it inside tg01 then.
My advice is to charge battery a little bit in external charger ( to about 3.4V if You have opportunity to measure it ) and then continue and finish inside tg01.

damn i havent got an external charger
Yes the light did come on to show it was charging but it was still on this morning some 6 hours later which it hasnt been normally but you are right in your assumption that it had drained completely, it hadnt when i started trying to plug in the charger but by the 50th attempt it had shut itself down completely.
i was umming and ahing about getting one on ebay the other day and opted for the micro to mini usb adapter in the end which ironically has arrived today.
is there one in partucular you would recommend?

Unfortunately I do not know what models are available on the market. I even do not know whether such devices are available at all for tg01 battery.
I am electronical engeneer so for such purposes like Your ( one time usage ) I utilize anything I have at home . Colegues from the forum, having the same problem, utilized DC power supply with voltage and current limitations and it is cheapest solutions if You of course have such device. I do not know what are Your manual and electronic skills but as I mentioned You do not have to charge externally the battery too long ( to about 3.4V ) so other solution is possible but it requires any multimeter , any non regulated DC power supply and resistor to limit charging current. As DC source You can utlize USB socket . As You see You have some options.

Once again.
Mains charger works every time but You are not able to establish connection ( active sync or mass storage mode ) to PC ? ( not every time ).
If yes, maybe micro USB plug from cable You connect tg01 from PC is damaged or cable itself has any internal damage causing that one time connection is possible, other time is not possible.
Worse possible scenario is that micro USB socket in tg01 is damaged ( transmission lines or ID line ).

USB car charger

Does anybody charge their TyTN in car via a usb car charger. I use a usb car charger for different devices: Bluetooth headset, gps reciever...
I also used it to recharge my Blue Angel.
Unfortunately I can't charge the TyTN. Has anyone had the same issue?
The charger says that it can charge 1Ampere. The original home charger is also 1 Ampere, so I don't understand why it doesn't work.
Have tried it with two different usb car chargers and both have the same problem: It charges only if TyTN is turned off. When I switch it on then the red charging light turns off.

I had similar problems except I didn't need to swithc the pda. I saw the usb charge couldn't charge completly or it was very slow to charge if I had screen with light or TomTom running.
I solved using a diferent charger, that generates 220 volts. It has 140W and costs around 40 euro.
Do you have a link, a picture or a brand name to this product?

Same problem.
I was told by the dealer that it's a matter o cable (the pins in the cable)
the one sold with the device is fine just to sync and charge from pc, but can't charge through car adapter.
I'm bought a new cable (arriving next week): it's a double cable, one side for pc, other side for charging.
if it works, I'll post..
bye
I'm afraid to tell you that your new cable will not work. You were not well informed. I am sure that it is not a cable problem, but a charger problem. According to me the power output expressed in Amps (Ampere) is not strong enough even though it says that it's 1 Ampere as the mains charger. Those cheap chinese made chargers are not strong enough for the TyTN. That's why it charges when the TyTN is switched off but as soon as you switch it on, the power output from usb car charger is not enough.

mmhhh, I'll wait the new cable, hoping it works ;.)
the fact is that with original cable the car adapter doesn't charge even if the device is off..
same thing with a 220V usb adapter.
only the original kit seems to work..
I'll tell you in a few days
btw: both adapter are chinese ;-)
Nope, Lio is right on this one. The car charger simply doesn't supply enough juice to charge the TyTN. O2 Exec users have had this problem for ages.
I use the charger bought from the Orange shop for the spv c500. Works fine, if a little slowly.
There are strange things happening!
The USB cable should not enter in to the equation as USB is USB and the pins should be wired correctly.
Here is what I have found.
If charging in the car all is ok until the power is cut, then it only charges whilst off until the TYTN is soft reset. This looks to me like there is a software / powercontroller confilct. It is a little confusing but see the scenarios below;
Soft reset TYTN, leave it off. Plug in to cigarette charger, turn TYTN on/off all is fine.
Turn off TYTN and unplug, all is fine, plug back in (TYTN off) will still charge when TYTN on.
Turn TYTN on, unplug, will not charge whilst on anymore until soft reset but will charge whilst off.
This is the same if I turn the ignition to power the lightere socket.
However, another spanner in the works, if I pull out the charger even with the device off and re-insert it it stops charging until soft reset.
What seemd to work best was to do a soft reset whilst the unit is charging and powered on. After that I was able to unplug, plug in even when the unit was on, turn ignition off/on etc... It only reverted back to not charging when I removed the charger from the socket as it was charging.
These are my findings and I presume each charger will be different.
I presume whatever electronics are in the chargers also causes problems. I have tried 2 USB and one fully wired charger and it is the same with all. I know for a fact that at least 2 of them have overcharge circuitry built in but do not think the 3rd has, I also presume the TYTN also has so perhaps there is some conflict here also.
I do know that there are car chargers specifically for the TYTN so will try one of those and see if it solves the problem. (anyone tried one?)
Anyone with more ideas please let us know.

Great Lio,
Glad it worked. When you get a chance, could you pull out the chrger from the lighter socket as it is charging and let me know if it then stops charging again. I just want to see if the same happens to you as it did to me. It will work again once you soft reset whilst plugged in.
Thanks.

I believe this trick should go to FAQ.
A week ago I visited a lot of shops trying many mains-to-USB charges to no avail. I already had one for MP3 player that didn't work too.
After reading your post, I connected the original charger and SRed. Now that another charger works!
Can't imagine what's the reason but it really works.

Is this a bug in the software ?
I found this : http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=138248
I think it should work fine, I am not sure.
"I found this : http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=138248"
Could you contact them and ask about its power rating and whether it is susceptible to the problem/bug?
here I am again.
finally I got the new cable and... surprise... IT WORKS
I used it without soft resetting the device and it worked
I tryed soft resetting the device and it worked
But the biggest surprise of all is that after using the new cable, also the old one started working ..
i guess there must have been a software bug that has gone (hope forever) away.
For those interested, the new cable is a double one: one side is usb, other two sides are charge connector and hotsync connector.

have you got a web link for this one you now have?
friend of mine has apparently got a tytn, I'll pick up a 1.2A USB / Car adapter this weekend and see what happens, hopefully the extra .2A should enable the tytn / exec to charge normally in a car.
Having had an exec for a while I will agree that most 12v/USB adapters struggle with the exec, but hopefully this will make the difference, if it works I will post the details of the company selling them (they are listed for the PSP)
I haven't had this trouble. Just got my new MDA Vario II and I've used it with my old MDA compact mains charger and the car USB charger and it works with no problems.
Tried it with the Vario II on and off and have a charging light on both.

8125 not charging

as i tire of hunting for hours for a thread i post. here goes...
for some unknown reason my g4 8125 wont charge. it went dead on the charger and i was thinking that my wall charger had freaked out. well after about a day of sitting i hit the power button and the lights came on! well it was a built up charge so i know the phone didn't brick. i put it on the usb cable to see if the red light would come on and no such luck.
any ideas? r they known for suddenly ignoring the charger??? any help is great!
oh and i haven't modded anything but the carrier unlock.
*i found on ebay a few that were selling with the charger port "broken" ... this a common thing? it able to be fixed if so?

I had a similar issue a few months back. It happens that the wizard needs a minimum charge on the battery in order to being able to charge. It´s like the charging connection is made by internal software.
Probably you drained too much the battery to a point that it no longer can sustain the cellphone on enough time so it recognizes the charger and it starts charging.
The workaround would be to jumpstart the battery.
There´s a post on thiss matter but in order to give you a straigth answer, you will need to find a low voltage source (better of 5volts or less, DC). Many users have used the usb port on their pcs, cutting out a cable.
Then you will need to remove the battery from the phone, and find the (+) and (-) sing. Probably you will find that there are more than 2 power connections on the battery. I assumed that the + and + were the most outer ones and it worked for me.
Then you would need to "connect" the power source cables to the battery. Beware of the polarity. keep the cables there for about 5-8 minutes so the battery would have a charge on it.
I personally used as a power source, a small 4 AA NiM rechargeable battery pack that gave me 1.2 volts x 4, meaning 4.8 volts. So even when the battery is only 3.7volts, a 5 volts power supply as the USB port, would do the trick. Just be carefull not to overcharge the battery. If you feel that the battery is getting hot, then probably something went wrong and you must stop and recheck the polarity. After 5 minutes the battery shouldn´t heat up too much on a 5volts surge.
To use the USB you just need to cut out an old usb cable that you don´t use (from an old mouse, or anything similar. Find the black and the red cables (the green and white are data cables, so don´t mess with those). and use them to connect to the battery with your fingers.
Tell us how it went.
thanks as always you guys are like the boy scouts...always prepared!
at least i think that's their motto...isn't it? anyway thanks a million

[SOLVED] Atrix will not power on, green light flashes, plugged in and.... nothing!

Went to sleep last night with my Atrix plugged in as I normally have had all my phones, was playing with it right before I went to sleep and everything worked just fine, woke up this morning and the phone will not power on!
First tried to power it on unplugged and the green light flashed for 2 seconds, and nothing happened. Okay, weird, but I'll go with it. Plugged it in, and the green light stays on now until I press the power button! Once pressed, it flashes off, flashes on for 2 seconds and stays off. Nice. I thought the green light meant it was fully charged - when I woke up this morning, it had no green light on, but it was plugged in just fine all night - grabbed my Jawbone ERA and plugged it in to the charger I had the Atrix connected to and it started charging right away, so I know it works....
Pulled the battery, tried plugging it in and power it on without the battery. Nothing. Tried putting in the battery and plugging it in again to "jump start it" as I had done yesterday when I first got it - apparently you can't just charge the thing when connected to a laptop if the phone is off, it will power on even if you power it off again! Nothing.
What the hell happened in it's sleep? I KNOW rooting it didn't cause sleep death.... This thing doesn't have a custom ROM or any undervoltage adjustments, so why the hell is it acting up??? Damnit, right when I got EVERYTHING set up the way I wanted it too.... can't bring it in to the store and give it up with all my personal stuff on there now, I need this thing to power on to wipe it first!!! I'm leaving it connected to the laptop with the green light on for a while and will see what happens in an hour or so....
EDIT - just searched for and tried to hard reset the phone from this thread, the phone still won't even power on to get to the recovery screen!!!
UPDATE - see below and use the SUPPLIED Moto AC charger or at least one with over 5.0V - NOT a PC and NOT a USB hub!
use the charger that came with the phone. My old HTC ones won't charge the phone for some reason. I bet your battery is just dead.
Did you use the provided charger? I tried plugging my Atrix in to the charger I used for my N1, and found that it did not provide enough current. With the old charger, after the phone died, I had similar symptoms where the green light would flash but phone would not come on. Plugged it in with the Moto provided charger, and 5 minutes later all was good...
I had the same problem. Thought I was gonna have to take it back to the store. I don't know what the problem was but I took the battery out for 5 minutes. Then I plugged it into the wall charger(wouldn't work with PC). I didn't turn it on for 30 min, just left it on the charger. Then I hit the volume rocker and it showed the battery charging symbol which it didn't do before. And then I was able to power it on
Same thing here. I purposely drained my battery on the first use. Plugged the usb cable into the PC and nothing. Same blinking green light with no response. I also thought I'd have to return the phone. Then for S & Gs I plugged it into the wall charger and it came to life. Once I got the battery charged a little bit I plugged it into the PC and it started to charge again. Don't know why, but it worked.
Have been running around the house trying to find valid outlets, and that does indeed appear to be the problem. I found it out the hard way though, should have kept an eye on the thread - used a power outlet instead of a PC USB connection and the screen fired right up! Yes, the phone showed the battery with 0% in it, but at least the screen finally came on!
How I have my phone set up normally is connected to my charging valet on my dresser, connected with a 15 foot USB cable that plugs directly into my desktop. Since the extension is good for just one USB connection, I have that connected to a USB hub and then a MicroUSB cable connects my phone from there. The Captivate, and all the other phones I've ever used, not to mention my Zune and Jawbone ERA, all eat that up and have no issues since the USB hub is powered not by the computer (seven USB cables is just too many for a single PC connection) but by the power outlet in the charging valet. I wonder if the hub is distributing the power requirement for each device and the Atrix needs more than others.
I also figured out that the Moto charger has a 5.1V output on it, as does my Jawbone AC charger. Now I need to start making sure that my each one of my chargers in the cars I own has that same type amount of juice too! You go up 29% in battery capacity and so do the requirements to charge it, huh?
Thanks for all the help, marking this SOLVED....
I used the charger in my bedroom that I've used for the Captivate and others before it and it didn't provide enough juice to charge the Atrix. It quickly switched between charging and not charging. I still had 40% battery showing when I woke up though which was nice. It had been off of charge since 10am yesterday.
Plugged it into an HTC charger and it's fine. The one that didn't work is not a modular charger so the power cord is hard wired to the plug.
Alright, a quick update.... Got the phone charged to 100% while it was off and plugged into the AC outlet with the Moto charger. Put my SIM card back in it - couldn't be without a phone all day! - and fired up the Atrix. Went to Battery Info to see what the status is and while plugged into my USB hub, it says
Battery Status: Discharging
Power plug: USB
....
Battery Voltage: 4124 mV (or 4.124V)
Click to collapse
What the hell? Then I went right after that and plugged it into the Moto AC charger, it says:

Battery Voltage: 4207 mV (or 4.207V)

Wait, you have to have specific drivers on the PC so that the phone will allow a power cable (let's not even worry about it being a USB cable for a second) to charge the phone properly? I have the Motorola Media Link software installed, and that has a ton of drivers on it, that wasn't enough? MORE drivers are required to charge a cell phone? This is madness!
Sorry about the necromancy, but had this problem myself but it is NOT due to a lack of voltage. Thought I'd actually solve this, the problem is CURRENT.
USB2 ports will only ever supply 500ma which simply isn't enough to charge the atrix when it's dead. USB2 powered hubs won't supply any more than this either to meet the USB2 spec. The fact that the AC adapter works is because they tend to have a higher output current in the region of 1-2 amps (you may notice the phone, or any other device for that matter, charges faster with AC adapters for this reason).
On a similar note, cheap car chargers only output 500ma. I know with my desire I can have it plugged in and it charges, but if I use GPS it actually draws more current than it can charge at resulting in the battery draining (albeit, slowly).
So, make sure you have a higher current AC/Car charger, or alternatively, plug it into a USB3 port to charge as USB3 spec allows 900ma (some mobos output up to 1A) which is enough to charge the Atrix.

Not sure about this..... It's been about a year since I got all my USB3.0 gear, and I was super excited about it because I thought that my phone would charge ridiculously fast because of the added output, but I remember reading that 3.0 uses extra pins and those pins account for the added voltage and bandwidth of the cable - we don't have those extra pins when you step down from 3.0 to 2.0, so we lose the ability to charge devices faster as a result. I don't know if I actually proved that theory, but after I read up enough on it, I thought I just didn't have to with that knowledge..... again, correct me if I'm wrong, I've got a lot of 3.0 gear here!!!

There are indeed extra pins in the USB3 standard but these are to transmit data only. The original USB2 data pins are only there for legacy support and USB3 transmissions use the extra lines. There's still only the 1 VBUS pin which supplies the +5V power. There's also no harm in offering higher current on the connection as a device will only ever draw as much current as it needs until it tops out the supplier, not the other way round
EDIT: Another solution could be to use a splitter cable (common with 2.5" drives)so you can draw from 2 ports, but with a micro connector. I've never actually seen one with USB micro but a quick look on ebay says they do exist

atrix 4g not coming on
Is there any real fix to this issue i have search high and low and all i am seeing people talking about the battery id dead ... i have two battery that is fully charger and the phone still not coming up.
Hi all, sorry that im posting after two years ago but i am facing exactly the same problem, but i plugged it in my USB port, wich i think its a usb2, and i got the screen on but the cellphone did not say charging instead of that was connect your charger, and it was lower than 3% then it turned off. What can it be a solution??
None of the avobe solutions worked?
Which rom/kernel are you using?
I too have this same issue. My Atrix won't come on. I have 2 of the same phone. I tried the charger and cable from both phones. Neither work. When I first plug it it, the green light comes on for a few seconds then it goes out. I even opened the phone and removed the battery. Used a voltage tested and found my battery has 3.7 volts. Thats almost 100% charge. So it not a problem of power. I plugged the phone to my computer and same green light for a few seconds then gone. Won't do anything. No battery display or anything. I even did the simulated battery removal procedure. Didn't work. Is there anything else I can try? Can't get to recovery mode without display unless someone has a fix for that?

Hmmm, this is a weird one guys.
I can charge my X10 only if it is plugged in to the USB port via the computer. However, when it is plugged directly into the power socket, it does not charge. Now, I've tried two different chargers, and both work when charging another device (my iPod Touch).
I don't understand. The cord can't be broken, since it works when charging from my computer? Yet, the charger (the thing that plugs into the wall) can't be broken either, since another charger didn't work and also both have the ability to charge my iPod.
What's up? :S
Thanks in advance.
NOTE: Even when charging while off works on the computer, just not when it's plugged in (and I am not using a custom kernel either). I doubt the ROM matters (since it still has the above problem while charging when off), but even so, I'm using v061 of Wolfbreak's 6.1.3 ROM.
Bump bump, bump it up!
Do you use the original SE in-wall charger? If not, thats the problem, if yes I recomend to test with a different wall charger (eg. from another device)
May be the cable it faulty? Because the PC charging uses a less amount of Volts (to my knowledge) and the charging while connected to PC is very slow. Did you try with any other Official cable?
It could possibly be your cable as mine broke a few weeks back (Same Problem), I just replaced the cable now its fine
Guys :-/
Went out and bought a new cable, and still not charging from the power Only from the slower laptop USB port :'(
I think it may be the X10 itself..
I am still suffering from this problem And sometimes when it's connected to the PC and displays 'charging', it instead discharges

Maybe the connector in the phone is broken????
Yep your usb port is broken, mine did exactly the same thing. You will have to send it to fonebiz in rockdale, nsw. I just got my phone back, took 6 weeks to repair!

Rockdale? 6 weeks?! Not going that far. :-/ I can live with just charging from the PC at the moment.
Thanks though Sad news indeed
Is is still under warranty? It will eventually stop charging from the PC too. I was waiting for parts to arrive so maybe they have them in stock now. That was 6 weeks from melbourne and back.
Going through the same thing in the US. I was told repair would be 5-7 days, but I'm sure I'm looking longer. If it comes back within the time frame they gave me I will be pleasantly surprised. I hope you're still under warranty and do your self the favor and send it in or soon you will have a very expensive paper weight. Good Luck!
I went through the exaxt same thing. It stopped charging from the wall but could only charge from computer but eventually stopped charging altogether.
Did you try taking out the battery and plugging in with the original se microusb cabe to the wall. After 5 min. put the battery in. First time didnt work for me but then i took out the battery again and put it back in immediately and then it turned on.
try getting a usb-to-wall charger, and plugging your computer usb cable into wall.

Out of curiosity, how long before each of your X10's stopped charging altogether? :S
Because, for me, it's been longer than two months and throughout that time I've managed to keep charging it via the computer.
Thanks.

I've 3 usb-to- chargers here:
From a MP20 phone, generic charger that can't charge my phone and also can't charge most of other devices, output power and voltage are low.
From an old Ipaq(not ipad) it does charge my x10 for some reason takes longer than the original, it says on it 1000mA and 5V, I don't remember the real amp and voltage on it.
And the original one, always charge really fast(2 hours for a full 0 to 100% when the phone is ON)
Conclusion, buy and original charger if you not using one, which seems to be the case.
OR, update your baseband if possible, as battery issues are normally related to baseband are normally the cause of this errors.
To make sure you can always try to do a SEUS repair.

Sorry to say this, but your are wrong man.
My charger says 5.0V which is exact the same voltage as any USB ports(exception for some internal USB ports used commonly for bluetooth and other low consumption devices that use 3.0 to 3.3V).
The difference is mainly on the amount of power amp it can supply, the original usb cable + wall charger provides 700mA, while in the PC USB 2.0 ports provide 500mA, 1.0 USB provide 100mA and 1.1 I don't remember now, generic usb wall chargers say sometimes they provide 500mA but they mostly provide 30l0mA and sometimes they do not provide on 5.0V they oscillate between 4.6 to 5.2V a good usb port have to provide 4.95V to 5.1V any difference from this may even burn a phone if higher and not charge or reduce a battery life if too lower.
Everytime a battery is not charged up the end of 100% they battery life gets a bit reduce as next time even if you leave it to charge up to 100% it won't really be at 100%, this can only be seen by measuring the battery voltage after the charge, fully charge it must reach up to 4.7V
on the battery or something like this.

If the cable is too thin(like 1.0 usb cables they can't handle 500mA if connected to an already extended usb port it may not get recognized and also not even charge.
Laptops usb ports may not allow 500mA it different for every laptop, some work, some doesn't and others your have to set that on bios.

Always when connected to the PC it should say charging, if it did say discharging at some point then there was something wrong.
But charging on the pc is very slow and not good.

Thanks button is appreciated, rsrsrs

Prime won't charge

Hello
My prime was charged a few weeks ago, and i haven't used it in a while so it discharged and turned off.. Now when I try to plug It in, it shows that it is charging, but nothing happens..
It charged for 3 hours, and when I unplug it, it can't turn on.
If I leave it plugged in and turn it on, it shows a screen with low battery icon and turns off immediately.
I can charge the keyboard just fine, the charging led on the keyboard turns green after a while.
It's rooted, but stock rom and have never unlocked it, so no customer recovery..
Hope someone can help me out :/

It sounds like your battery may have died on you.
Are you using the AC charger or the usb charger?
Mine takes a long time on the usb but charges better on ac.
Are you charging them both while docked, if so try undocking and charging them separately.
How old is the battery, Prime now?
The battery is guaranteed for 12 or 24 months also, just check where your serial number is and it will have a 12 or 24 number on the right under your model number.
Also,l check the charging port and make sure no debris or foreign matter has accumulated in it and some of the pins aren't bent.
If none of this works it means you have an internal problem and a different recovery won't help because you still cannot get it charged.
Post back with your results please.

I've tried both charging it through USB from my computer and through the wall charger (original charger and cable).
I've tried charging it both docked and undocked, separate and together.
The Prime is bought about 7 months ago, and i have checked for dust and such in the various parts.
It says "12" below the serial number btw, but i bought it from England (i live in Denmark) though Amazon, so it would be hard for me to return it..
Though there is 1 thing that is bugging me and i'm not sure if it can be the problem.
There is 1 pin that's not aligned with the others on the charger port on the prime itself
Picture to explain: http://i45.tinypic.com/2r4sw7t.jpg
The 2nd pin from the far left is a bit longer inside the device than the others. I've tried to get it out by using a little metal stick (don't know what its called ) but I've been unsuccessful..
The prime obviously gets some sort of connection when i plug it in (though only if i plug it into the wall charger, doesn't happen with USB, which i kinda predicted) and gets enough power to vibrate, then turn on for about 4 seconds to show a big red battery icon (meaning low power) and then turns off..
I've tried to correct the pins on the wall charger so they're more stable and connect better, i've tried putting the wall charger in the freezer for 20min (google'd it as a possible solution, other said it helped them). I currently don't have any other charger or cable that can connect/charge the prime, but i don't think the problem lies with the charger/cable..
I left the dock+prime docked together charging all night and when i woke up, the dock LED was green but it still wasn't able to boot up at all..
Is there anything i can do to reset the Prime? I've tried the little pin hole under the sd card slot, i've tried various combinations of volume up and volume down and power, but i always end up with the screen with the big red battery icon..

I am 90% sure that 2nd pin from the left is your problem. if you cant find a way to pop it back into place or dont know somebody who can do it for you then you should probably rma.
here is a thread about the pinout. Take a look at the diagram on post 6 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630300&highlight=pinout
Hi there,
My TFP won't charge or be recognized by my iMac. I have changed the battery, no joy; I replaced the charging port; no joy; and got new charger and cable even though all my others charged other devices, .
Any ideas? Much appreciated

This happened to me because the battery connector inside the device was loose, I had to open up the device up and re-connect it. This time, I've placed some tape to try and make it not fall out again. Maybe the battery is faulty?
