cool if that's true, I'm still up I'm the air about getting this. I currently have nexus s on tmobile but would life to get on verizon's better network! Input thing 4g isn't available yet and the 3g speeds are slower than what I'm getting on tmobile. Any input our advice

I just called and talked to multiple CSR's and out of the 4 I talked to none of them could find anymore information or confirm anything other than BB's pre order and the fact that it will release with mobile hot spot.

They read rumors off the internet and many of them do not seem to be able to ask the higher ups if rumors are correct, they will just tell them what you have read on blog sites of people who are not in the know.

I had slim hopes as well. Sorry, but there isn't going to be a surprise release of a phone without at least a few days notice.
The Verizon chat representative was probably going, "Hey Sa'irah, I'm so sick of people asking about the TB, lets get this guy going. 'Yes, the TB will be available to order tomorrow.' 'Yes, you'll be able to purchase it as well.' ".

There is no doubt these phones will be their on Sunday. 2 shipments have come in on one of the AT&T stores that my friend works at. Sunday is the day. I think AT&T did the same crap with the Infuse nothing till the day before, of the day of the launch.

So I was helping a guy at the home depot I work at. I saw the Guy had a S2 skyrocket and asked him how he liked it, then I showed him my Note I just got. Turns out he works for AT&T corporate. He new about the Note but wasn't really familiar with it, so I got my gadget geek on and showed off what the Note can do and then talked about the network around Atlanta.
So I went into work for an hour today to help out on a special order and I had a message with a contact number. So I call and it's someone from at&t, she told me that Guy I helped was so impressed with my knowledge and passion on mobile that he gave the info he had on me to her. Now she wants me to come in and discuss opportunities with business sales. It's face to face stuff mostly (not a call center).
Update: Got an interview on Tuesday at one of their corporate offices.
Update2: So I interviewed with them on Tuesday and it went very well. They said they have some in house promotions about to happen in a few weeks to a month and they would be contacting me again when they know more about the upcoming opens on their floor. It would be a 8-5 job with base salary and commission with business sales in the mobility division.
"Buy a galaxy note, get a job offer."
New marketing campaign.

I could sell the sh*t out of some phones. Haha. It's funny how uninformed the sales clerks are at some stores. I literally saw an At&t employee trying to sell an iPhone to a guy based purely on Siri, and couldn't even get it to work. Her explanation was that "it just doesn't work sometimes, but it's still a really great feature"
Sad thing was, the guy walked out with an iPhone that day. If only I could have saved his poor soul...

I had a post about this the other day and I totally can agree... its bad how they will hire people who don't know what they are doing but you get a bad rap from the go ernment and they wont hire you even though it was in the general basis... I went to three different att and a bestbuy asking he managers about the note not even two weeks ago and they acted like I was talking about space travel -.-

This actually happened to me too! Except not with a Galaxy Note and not AT&T but Verizon! I knew more than the guy they were training and actually troubleshooted a customer and the regional sales manager offered me a job! Too bad I don't go to school where I live :/

No he Just remembered my name and gave a description of me to a coworker and she called my HD and left a message with a number to contact her. I didn't know what it was for when I called. Then she telling me that I impressed this Guy so much and asked me if I would be interested in changing careers.

Just went to a Verizon store to get a DNA with a $100 off promotion. While I was tinkering with the phone the rep looked up the deal. He said said I should wait till 5/14 because they will have a free promotion. So I'm gonna wait. Till then. Hope this helps.

I expect an HTC one announcement shortly after 5/14 (30 days ?). Typical VZW. Will offload the phone on thousands of people and lock them into 2 year contracts before the new model comes along.

Offload the phone? For someone who bought the DNA 5 months ago it may not have been realistic to wait until late May for the next option.
Personally I'm very happy with the DNA and to act like Verizon scammed you by selling it to you is a little silly if you ask me.

I got mine in January and I am content with it as well. This phone does everything I need it to easily. I don't play many games on it because I would rather do that on xbox..... so instead of saving my money for a new phone I am saving for the new xbox.

The sales rep said you enter your email and a unique bar code is generated and then take that to the Verizon store to receive the free DNA. I don't know if I'll have the time before work, but as guess i can wait till after..... Wouldn't get to much work accomplished with new toy. I am going to ask if the they have any 1.5 firmware phones. Seems like a long shot but someone else was successful in finding one.

My wife and I went into the ATT store in our neighborhood Saturday for her to pick between a SGS4 and a One, and see if we could get her an early upgrade. She's not due for an early upgrade until July and her Samsung Infuse is not performing well anymore and we wanted to take advantage of their trade-in offer. After waiting for about half an hour and haggling with a sales associate and the manager, the were not convinced and we left empty handed. A co-worker put me up to calling customer service and after explaining the situation and our in-store experience and a brief hold, the rep came back with some awesome news! She was approved to not only let my wife have the early upgrade, but a FREE upgrade to the black 64GB! And just to sweeten the deal, she threw in free overnight shipping!!! We're expecting it to arrive tomorrow. I think i'll keep the black one and let her have my silver 64GB.
All of those TMOUS and VZ subscribers who say ATT has terrible customer service have no idea. I have been with ATT since 2006 and have never needed to call customer service. This is not bad for a first experience!

U just got very lucky. That one experience does not mean all of ATT is that way. Believe me you can call with the same question 5 times and get 5 different answers..been there A LOT with ATT. Go to vegas soon my friend, before your luck runs out

I simple told the Rep that I need my upgrade 2 months early because my current phone wasn't working for me anymore. she understood my problem and said retention department could help me. Five mins later she came back and said since I was nice and in good standing that she could approve my upgrade and wave my upgrade fee. I need a larger screen due to losing most of my eye sight in an accident she said the only draw back was I'd have to pay for whatever phone I wanted right then . So I told thanks and then spoke with her supervisor letting him know how great she was. Being very decent is the key even if you need to speak to a supervisor ask nicely and erasure the Rep that you understand that she help as much as they could. So I paid for my phone and they shipped it out ocernight. Be patient be pleasant they get ****tiy people calling all the time so it helps to be nice.

Co-worker got a similar deal. His problem was that the online system would cancel his order immediately after completing it. It happened twice. He called not to complain, but simply to order the phone and got it free with free overnight shipping. His account was eligible for an upgrade, though.
The store manager has the power to give u an early upgrade within 30 days of the eligible date. Its funny BC some managers will say well it has to be in the same calendar month or ah it's gotta be within 14 days. U got lucky!

The htc one has been confirmed by Verizon for Aug 15th now (or week of). It's about time if you ask me but I'm happy it's coming. Mainly for what it means in development for our DNA now that that's a similar phone and it's cdma. Although ido wish i could u upgrade to this im content with my dna. What do you think of it? Anyone plan on switching?

After using my DNA, I don't think I could go back to a smaller screen. I may look into upgrading when Verizon Edge comes around, but right now I'm very content.

Where is your source for this confirmation? Everywhere I've read says that Aug. 1st is only a rumored date because of the road map leak which has been, for the most part, false so far. Do you have updated official news from Verizon I don't know about?

If you're asking about Edge, you keep it. What Verizon will do is they'll split the retail price of the phone into 12 payments, then you make a payment each month until it's paid off, then the phone is yours. No need to renew your contract or trade in your phone.
But enough about Edge, this isn't the place to discuss that

That is great news! I've been obsessing about this phone for months so at this point you could tell me it sprouted ears and a tail and I'd be ready to believe you lol. Sorry if this is asking too many questions -but I'm a woman and need details- did those employees state that the phone would hit shelves that day or just be ready for pre-order? Any word of a press announcement happening a day in advance or day of? If they are launching it Thursday and not making a big deal of it I want to make sure I'm there bright and early (or on the website) to get one! Any word of it being in red? No, you have to hand it in... It's not really a consumer friendly thing. Just makes it look like it. T-Mobile are the only ones doing it right. With Edge you pay installments for you device and still have to pay the Verizon plan pricing setup to be profitable when handing out subsidized phones.
But back to topic, our phones are not that inferior to the HTC One. Actually only the CPU is older. Barely. Other then the sexy aluminium body and smaller screen, the phones are very similar. Well I guess the One has an IR blaster too.
I really want a One. I love my DNA but the One is just so sexy.

Well, thanks for the info on edge and the one. I recently got the DNA, since I went into the pool with my gs3 in my pocket. I am loving the phone. I had one issue with the proximity sensor not working properly. I had to root and the use the resound proximity calibration app to fix that. Is that a know issue with DNA.

Although the 1st is just a rumour can't say its been proven false till the 1st. Also a Google search reveals like 20 plus tech sites saying the same thing... I'd say believe it at this point.

Actually is say its all but confirmed now... It was leaked in the roadmap along with moto x for august 1st... Check Motorola's page... August 1st... I think its pretty much set now

I've been obsessing to lol... No i didn't ask for much cause i can't buy it lol. but way back in may i had a friend at Verizon tell me it was coming in August also. Just have your money ready only a couple more days lol
