I live in Germany in a region where the E-Plus network ist very bad.
I Have tested many handy but the XDA Compact II had the best network recive, but not good enough the phone
What is the best Radio Rom with the properties network recive/network speed for the compact II?

In meiner Region ist der E-Plus emfang sehr schlecht es reicht gerade mal eine SMS zu empfangen/verschicken aber meistens nicht zum Telefonieren.
Gibt es ein Radio Rom das eventuell noch ein paar Prozent mehr Empfang bzw. qualität und geschwindigkeit rausholn kann?

Hallo NG,
Nachdem ich eMbedded 4 C++ installiert hatte funktioniert ActiveSync nicht mehr. Danach deinstalliert eMbedded 4 C++ ohne erfolg ActiveSync funktionierte immer noch nicht. Ich deinstalliert dann auch ActiveSync und installiert es neu auch ohne erfolg. Ich versuchte verschiedene Varianten des deinstalliert und installiert mit Booten ohne Booten Activesync 3.5, Activesync 3.7 oder Activesync 3.71. Nun habe ich auch noch alle einträge aus der Regestrie gelöscht die mit Activesync zu tun habe und auch die Reste der Ordner nach dem deinstalliert und darauf folgenden installiert, auch ohne erfolg.
Eine Hardwaremäßige Verbindung muss bestehen weil wen ich mein MDA von der Dockingstation nehme ertönt ein deutlich vernehmbares Ping aus dem Lautsprecher als auch ein Ping wen ich es in die Dockingstation stelle. Auf den Display des MDA erscheint auch wen ich das MDA in die Dockingstation Stelle `Status: Verbinden mit dem Host`. Auch habe ich es tunlichst unterlassen irgendwas an der Dockingstation hardwaremäßig zu ändern.
Nur jetzt ist mein Latein am ende was kann ich noch tun. Ich wäre sehr dankbar wen ihr eine Idee noch hättet die ich noch nicht hatte oder so.
Ich habe es jetzt schon in verschiedenen Newsgrups versucht aber noch keine antwort irgendwo erhalten
Ach ja auch noch das angaben zum Host System es ist ein Win XP das PDA ist ein MDA 1 von T-Mobile mit Windows CE 2003

ich habe hier jetzt einige threads darüber gefunden wie das mit GPS bei dem Vario II (Hermes) ist.
Nur da ich schlecht englisch kann wird es nach einer gewissen Zeit etwas verwirend, weil von einem Rom update die rede ist (ist eigentlich klar) aber dann lese ich auch was von löten ?

Kann ich das auf dem Vario II (Herm300) problemlos aufspielen ?
Muss ich wirklich was umlöten damit GPS funzen würde ?
Gibt es schon ein WM6 für Hermes auf Deutsch ?

GPS is present in the Hermes but there is NO antenna... A bluetooth GPS device is cheaper and easyer!! Also this toppic could be found with the search function!

Die Info-Flut in diesem gelinkten Thread ist erschlagend. Aber es gibt betreffs einem G4-Wizard keine definitive Information in deutsch. (Bei den englischen Quer-Links habe ich meine Probleme mit der Übersetzung: eher Angst etwas falsch zu übersetzen)

Erster Versuch mit HardSPL ging nicht
Zweiter VErsuch mit SoftSPL problemlos:
SoftSPL runterladen
nk.nbf aus dem rom nehmen und ins SoftSPL Verzeichnis packen
START-sSPL.exe ausführen,
warten bis der Bildschirm(am Wizard) weiss wird
und DANN, aber auch wirklich nur wenn der Screen weiss ist, die weiteren Schritte mit dem PDA Phoner ROM Update Utility ausführen(startet automatisch)
Hab so ohne Probleme dass Rom von Pansen aufgespielt und mittlerweile schon ein paar andere mit SoftSPL zum TEsten daufgepackt, jedesmal problemlos

if i have right understanding, so i don't need HardSPL. But SoftSPL is only needed for update to WM6. it's right?
if i also right understand, so i can directly update my "VPA compact 2" without the detour above first the Love-ROM and than the T-Mobile-ROM, so i can direct start the installation of a new ROM with SoftSPL, if SoftSPL is running and i see the white Screen. That's also right?
Is there somthing to note above a maybe SIM-Lock or is it irrelevant by updating to WM6?
(Yeah, updating an MDA1 is verry easy against it... )
PS: Which WM6-ROM is to recommand for a "VPA compact II" in to the Vodafone-network and how can it translate into german language? Which programs (or CAB-files) needed for Vodafone-settings/-services/-utilitys and where can i find it for download?

ich nutze derzeit das offizielle HTC ROM upgrade.
Zwei Fragen: beim offiziellen upgrade wurde auch das Radio ROM geupgraded. Paßt das mit Deinem Release?
Und welche Unterschiede gibt es (klar, Manilla, kein Cube) - evt. flotter, mehr Speicher, Style?

Ja das Radio ist perfekt für mein Rom.
Unterschiede sind natürlich die neuen Versionen von Audiomanager, Album Manila usw.
Das Rom ist natürlich leichter (kleiner) als das offizielle (kein htchome, zip, jbes usw.)
somit ist es auch schneller.
Testen lohnt sich auf jedenfall. ich kann es leider nicht gebrauchen weil ich immer wieder am cooken bin.sonst würd ich es auf jedenfall brauchen (mal neutral gesprochen).

Läßt sich das beheben, wenn man das keyboard als cab nochmal drüber installiert?
Könntest Du vielleicht noch ein paar Bildchen von dem ROM einstellen?

bilderchen findest du hier http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447511 und nachinstallieren des keyboards (opal keyboard) bricht mit fehlermeldung (fehlende systemberechtigung)ab.
Das problem ist nur wenn man das "ABC" auf Deutsch stellt.
Gibt es denn ein Cab das funktioniert (um es zu integrieren).
Hab überall gesucht aber nichts gefunden.

Ja, das Problem mit der Tastatur hab ich auch. Hoffe, dass es in der 3G Version behoben ist oder durch ein nachträgliches Installieren einer Tastatur beheben läßt

Ich suchte nach einem Android 4.2. rom aber es sieht aus, als gäbe es keine. wie für die TouchWiz es sehr schwer ist (und ich denke, illegal) zu portieren andere Telefone ui.
