Also, the icons to the android and rotary lockscreens have been put in because they are the ones I like to use. I loved the black and white, but it felt a little flat to me. So I mashed this up and I like the results.
You can check the two original posts for screens, and you will figure out what you are getting.
To Install: Download file and place on root of sd card, reboot into recovery and wipe cache partition and go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache. Flash and reboot. It will be a long reboot, don't freak out. Mine took about 4 1/2 minutes when I installed it.
Issues: The rotary unlock screen shows a vibrate icon, but it puts the phone in silent mode when you use it, not being fixed. The stars for comments in the market are white, and I don't care.

I love both the splash of color and blackout, but I went with splash because the phone process on blackout kept FCing, which is still happening on this mash up for me. Love the theme, great job.

I just figured people would be able to look at the links for the original themes and realize they have the icons from one, but the base of the other... and then they get to see more screens of the themes.
Then again, my fault for putting that info in the middle of the post, because people don't read anymore...

I an not sure if I put those in, but the android and rotary locks had most of the icons restored. Don't think I did the dots, and I don't have it installed to check. Could someone running it give a better answer? I haven't abandoned it, just trying something else out right now and I don't know which icons they are off the top of my head...

So after testing for a couple days, I have finally been bit by the CM7 bug, and I can't go back.As of right now, the only thing I can see myself changing to check out is Team Whiskey's AOSP 2.3.3 when it is finished. We will see how it goes from there...
This theme will no longer be supported or updated by me. Anyone who would like to take it over and carry the torch, go ahead... the base is there.

I Noticed that many developers are including the new Rotary Lockscreen in the recent roms that have been released, and thought I would create a thread entirely devoted to Custom Lockscreen Mods for our device. I don't claim to be a developer or themer, but however noted that we have some of the best themers and developers in the Vibrant thread so thought I would start a thread for those who would like to share some themed Lockscreen Mods. I have extracted several settings apk's from several roms and noted that they do work or are compatible with different roms. This thread in no way seeks to minimize the hard work of those developers who have included Rotary Lockscreens in their roms, but only seeks to stir up the creative juices of others who may want to share some of their work. Thanks!! Credit goes to Whitehawx & Hoey2011 for making this possible on our devices. Heres hoping that they will continue to bring their creativity to this thread along with other themers and their themed lockscreen mods.

Hot Screenies
1st waves of morphs compliments of Hoey 2011. Flash with Metamorph and should be all good. NOTE: The star wars mod may not work after you apply this but the other 5 lockscreens work without a hitch. This is the 1st wave of morphs and all glitches that are found will be worked out accordingly. Yo RobZ im going to post a couple of framework apks and possibly a couple of those setting apks that we discovered works on particular roms just to get it started a little im still contacting a few people to just make sure its ok. Thanks to brickd he okd to post his saturated grey rotary framework and going to check with others also. Its nice to be able to change out lockscreens according to personal pref if compatible. Imagine if someone could develop a lockscreen changer this would be the business!
Hello everyone! Hmmm where to begin. I have done a little poking around regarding adding additional shortcuts to the rotary. I for one would like to have it show missed calls/texts on the center piece and you swing one way or the other to shortcut to it.
Something another dev in the fascinate forums PM'd me about was using the rotary to answer/decline calls. That would be freakin awesome. I'm going to be investigating this as I think it might actually be easier to do than what I said above.
Jcc, I like your idea for an app that can change out colors/themes/ect on the lockscreens. I'm going to do some talking with Roman later to see if we can't work something out for this (he's the java/app expert ).
I do have some other lockscreens I'd like to port over, including the multilock from CM and the iFail...err... i mean iPhone slider lockscreen. No promises on anything though. Anywho, its time to vape!
Whitehawx, I am using Axura 2.3 and when I flashed it the rotary lockscreen didn't appear in my list. I flashed it again and themed it with Gen x red and it still didn't show up. I wanted the rotary look so bad that I found the one attached in the market. Its called GOTO LOCK. If you look at it, I can roll the arrow to the right and hover over sms (my handcent) and it will preview my messages and the same for phone calls and my gmail. It also shows the number of each if any are waiting. Allows me to customize background as well. On the box up top it allows me to silence ringer, vibrate or turn ringer on and a few more gadgets as well. I think if you could incorporate something like this into rotary it would take it to the next level!
BTW...any idea why the rotary lockscreen didn't show up with the rom?

Hmmm I am unsure why the mod would not work, but doesn't Axura 2.3 come with the rotary lockscreen already? Flashing my mod should work, but you would lose all of your theming, ect. Seems odd that it wouldn't work though.

I dont know. Strange. Right after I flashed and went to into settings, display and unlock screen, it only shows the 4 options. Rotary is not even there. I didnt want to lose the theming from my Gen x red theme so that's why I downloaded the one from the market.

Whitehawx thanks for responding to this thread and look forward to the freshness. Hopefully the lockscreen changer will come to fruition this would be hot. That lockscreen that roman is thinking of releasing on trigger is the business!!

Funny.....Lol. It's actually in the market. It's called GOTO LOCK. It's a buck 50 but well worth it. I only found it because the rotary that whawx created for the roms wouldn't show up when I flashed axura 2.3 and I really wanted a rotary unlockscreen.

I know this is your rom, but maybe you should check that statement again. Annex distinctly stated that he ported it to be used on 2.3. Also it's on YOUR website as such as well.

Hey guys, I made a little mod of the rotary lockscreen for bionix V 1.2.1, based on the GingerBlue theme. Therefore, when you flash this zip, you will have a blue themed phone, only for what framework-res touches. There are no changes to tw-framework, so that apk is not included.
This is a clockwork flashable, and it clears your dalvik cache, so it takes ~3-4 minutes to reboot after flashing it. I was a bit worried because of how long I was having to wait after flashing, but then I realized I have 200+ apps, and that makes rebuilding the dalvik-cache a little time consuming. Screenshots included, here's the link to the mod:

If there's enough interest in this sort of thing, I'll take whatever lockscreen ports there are to handle, and make them customizable for our Vibrants I'm a themer, not a coder heh heh
Edit: I suggest trying this with a black and blue theme, because that's what I designed this little inspiration after. the jog icons are black and transparent, not black and blue like the screenshots suggest, it's just the blue smoke from the wallpaper.
I added a space wallpaper to demo a little better the way it looks
EDIT #19390487: I will consider making these theme a Metamorph simply for the possibility of avoiding replacing the entire framework-res.apk . Metamorph may make it possible to avoid the time-consuming flash/dalvik-cache wipe process I am using now for the theme. Then again, everything has room for improvement, including this mod! Keep in mind, this is a *rough* draft of an idea, and the idea was made specifically for me. If you don't like it, then throw up some suggestions. I will give folks a run down in a separate thread from this, so you can have an idea of what I can change and the effects it will have. That way, this thread can stay open to new *actual* modifications, rather than just aesthetic ones. So basically, I am going to take what progress comes from here, and theme it to gooey goodness. I have a simplistic stylistic preference, but you all may not!

Hoey dang that lockscreen is sweet!!thanks for joining the discussion. I'm going test this baby out. It looks Great. Please feel free to Share some of your Lockscreen mods. That's why I started the thread because I believe themers such as yourself as well as others could post the hotness!
@ Oxirane It's either the Framework_res.apk or The Setting.apk and using root explorer you can copy it in systems/framework directory and if you use the setting.apk you can copy it in Systems/Apps folder. It's funny though because I've discovered that on some roms the framework_res.apk file changes the lockscreen, and on others all you have to do is push Settings apk to Systems/Apps. Maybe someone could expound on it for us. Make sure before you push any file with rootexplorer on your phone. SAVE your original files so that if something goes haywire you can just recopy those files as it will give you back your original look before the push. You could also just flash a rom with it already on it also. Hope this makes sense! Chime back if it works for you.

First let me say that I am not a dev nor can I properly edit .9.png files yet. These are just 'Tweaks' I made to the Stock Samsung MMS by switching png files. A few are quite nice while others,... well, I included them because someone just might like them. Right now these are installable manually which is faster than flashing. I do hope to have them in flashable form soon, however.
The installation instructions are step by step so any noobs can install with no problems. Use the paid version of Root Explorer. First delete or move you current Mms.apk to your external SD card (in case you want to reinstall it later). Then place the new Mms.apk in System/app, longpress on the file and choose 'Permissions', uncheck the boxes to match rw-r--r--. If the new app doesn't show up right away, reboot.
I have no probems sending Sms or Mms and get all my audio notifications although I know this is not the case with everyone. I don't have all the answers, so if you can help with any information on why certain people can't send Sms or Mms, please share it. And if you want to just say 'Thanks' to anyone, please use the 'Thanks' button

LOL! I'm asking because I want to credit those people! But if the chain stops at you, that's OK. I already made versions of my previous Gingerbread Dark Theme tweak with green, blue and black icons. I don't like the black one, though, so I'll look and see if Loki's is any better. Thanks!

Yep, I was so happy to learn how to get rid of them. I first found that Captivate app by MikeyMike01 back in mid January and it wouldn't work for the Vibrant, so I took it from there.

Let me save you the trouble. This is for 2.2 roms not 2.2.1. I believe that jellette posted a blurry fix for 2.2.1 in the themes just make sure its the i9000 and not the 4g vibrant version

Also , I just renamed it from Mmsv1.apk to Mms.apk then copied and pasted, replaced the currant one, no need to fix permissions...at least on my end.

Sorry guys, no one has posted in here in forever, so I just poke my nose in every once in a while to check the downloads. Yes, it does fix the blurry mms problem, but not the current one on 2.2.1 Roms. For that there are two fixes, the first from the new 4g port, and then Jellete made a separate one.

Your welcome, duce! That is a good question and I don't know the answer because it depends upon the theme you are using I think. Right now I'm using clean tangerine, so my notification icon is orange. I'll guess that the default icon is blue, knowing Samsung, lol!

Just to be more exact, the reason a captivate rom would not work with this is because of AT&T. They have some message center that their particular mms app calls. Everything will work fine until you try to send something, then it will FC. I know this because the original mms that I made was the Gingerbread one made by MikeyMike from the Captivate threads. It was a phenomenal app with more funtionality and twice the size (in bytes) as any other mms.apk I'd seen.
Apk's can be really strange. The Galaxy Tab email.apk will work in either 2.2 or 2.2.1. So will the TouchwizGTG launcher from the Tab as well as many other .apk's. Then you come across some that don't work like the OceanWaves live Wallpaper. Just didn't want you to automatically assume .apk's from other Roms would automatically not work. You must test them yourself.

I'm still investigating what works with what. It would be easier if I would flash something else and test it myself, but I'm not willing yet. My health hasn't been that great lately. I can manage to edit simple .9.png's though, so that might goad me into redoing everything.

I have been working on this for a while now, and it is not quite finished (still more framework and twframework edits to make, along with some other system apps). I only really get to work on this at work, and even then it's not much, so it has been slow going, and updates may be slow.
I though I would reach out to the public at large for some feedback.
This has been mostly edits to the base Trigger files (many edits) and some images and .9s from NeonGT that I liked, along with a couple icons I found searching on Google. Eventually I plan to replace many images with some of my own to better fit my style.
I appreciate any comments you may have to help improve my theme. I've done some small Metamorphs before, but this is my first time attempting a full theme.

- Modified the yellow on the battery percentages (40-60%) so it should hopefully be easier to see.

Not sure if its just me or just nitpicking, but when my battery was low yesterday it seemed like the green went away or like really "dims" on the battery icon.
Maybe its just me though.

I will fix the link in a couple hours. On the road for work and not near my pc.
As for the battery, the glow around the icon should go green, yellow, red as the battery drains. The yellow is hard to see. Maybe that's what you are seeing? I have plans to fix that soon.

This is amazing! I'm loving it, if I had anything to suggest, I think it would be awesome if you can change the pull-down menu dividers between the notifications to green along with the font to show up green. I think it would look really nice.

I didn't have any plans to theme Swype as I don't use it (I actually remove it from a rom zip before flashing so I don't have to deal with it). Check out this thread as there are some nice Swype metamorphs in there. Also, I'm sure there are more threads for Swype themes out there.
There is actually a post here for a bunch of blackout swype themes that were made by creator. There is a link to them on the MTM Gingerbread post.

It doesn't.
OP, there's a ~1 pixel tall border that's lighter in color that you can see whenever the screen displays something dark (like the screen where you can select widgets, shortcuts, wallpaper...), can that border be changed to black also? Or did Honeycomb 3.1 have that also?

Stock had a similar look to it, with the gray border if you want me to make you one with all black let me know. Just send me a pm I have the stock look done atm but i don't like how the screen shot icon looks. I should have a stock look up in a few hours.

OP, the issue with a gray background behind icons extends to icons other than debugging. Right now, my notification bar icons for CopyPasteIt (clipboard icon) and Google Music Beta (headphones icon) both have gray backgrounds on the black bar.
Isn't there a way to make any and all icons show black backgrounds?? There's no way you can keep up with every single icon and keep editing to fix the issue..there are unlimited icons that may show up there for apps..
Is it possible to eliminate this issue for all icons?
The icon pack is about half done I am at work right now so Ill do more when i get home, but should be done soon.

I'm just going to make them per request and when I feel like making new ones. So, if you have any that you would like to see as chrome, black chrome, red and white, or ics and white, just let me know and I'll include them. I'll make an update to this thread about once a week with new additions. So post requests in the thread and I'll get started. Right now I just have chrome and black chrome.

How to replace your icons on Rosie:
1. Download and unzip file.
2. Place on external sd card (I use a folder called icons)
3. Use QuickPic if you're having trouble seeing the icons even after a reboot.
4. Download Desktop Visualizer from the market.
5. Install shortcut on homescreen and select Desktop Visualizer.
6. Select your icon, then the action.
7. Make sure you click on encode.
8. Place on the dock.
For all other launchers, you can do the same or simply edit the icon on the screen.

Lol it's all good. You just need to put them on your sd card wherever you want them. I actually have a folder on the root of my sdcard called icons where I put all these. Your gallery should be smart enough to find any file extensions that should be there like .png, .jpg, .mp4, stuff like that. So, just download, unzip, then put them on your sdcard. If it doesn't work, you might need to reboot your phone or use something like Quickpic from the market.

With Rosie, you'll need to do a little more work than you would with a different launcher. But, you can certainly change them. Just follow the instructions you'll find HERE from rileyd5. Be sure to toss him a thanks

So, my phone currently has a WasabiWa83 background (the ICS Andy w/Beats and chrome background), and tonight I will be downloading and using your chrome icons. Oh, and I have a WasabiWa83 custom signature.

Just put up version one of the red and black chrome. I'll do a straight red/black later.
Also, red and white has been updated to v1.1 with about 8 more icons.

These look great thanks. I'm using ADW Launcher EX and I cant seem to find these icons to use them. They have been extracted to my SD card, but I can't see them as choices when I try to change the icons. Am I missing something? Thanks again for the quick response on my requests.
