Alright, this will be a thread where I'll be uploading custom icons that I make. I don't have many done at all right now (8 of each style), but I plan on making tons more. I'm just going to make them per request and when I feel like making new ones. So, if you have any that you would like to see as chrome, black chrome, red and white, or ics and white, just let me know and I'll include them. I'll make an update to this thread about once a week with new additions. So post requests in the thread and I'll get started. Right now I just have chrome and black chrome.
THESE ARE NOT FLASHABLE. Just download the zip, unzip, and place on your sd card to replace icons on your screen.
Oh, and as always, these are free for you to use. Some of these I'm making from scratch, some of them are just altered versions of stock icons. If you use these anywhere else besides private use on your own phone, I just ask for credit and possibly a link back to this thread.

How to replace your icons on Rosie:
1. Download and unzip file.
2. Place on external sd card (I use a folder called icons)
3. Use QuickPic if you're having trouble seeing the icons even after a reboot.
4. Download Desktop Visualizer from the market.
5. Install shortcut on homescreen and select Desktop Visualizer.
6. Select your icon, then the action.
7. Make sure you click on encode.
8. Place on the dock.
For all other launchers, you can do the same or simply edit the icon on the screen.

Lol it's all good. You just need to put them on your sd card wherever you want them. I actually have a folder on the root of my sdcard called icons where I put all these. Your gallery should be smart enough to find any file extensions that should be there like .png, .jpg, .mp4, stuff like that. So, just download, unzip, then put them on your sdcard. If it doesn't work, you might need to reboot your phone or use something like Quickpic from the market.

With Rosie, you'll need to do a little more work than you would with a different launcher. But, you can certainly change them. Just follow the instructions you'll find HERE from rileyd5. Be sure to toss him a thanks

New icons are up. About 16+ per set.
So, my phone currently has a WasabiWa83 background (the ICS Andy w/Beats and chrome background), and tonight I will be downloading and using your chrome icons. Oh, and I have a WasabiWa83 custom signature.
It's official. I'm a WasabiWa83 fangirl.

These look great thanks. I'm using ADW Launcher EX and I cant seem to find these icons to use them. They have been extracted to my SD card, but I can't see them as choices when I try to change the icons. Am I missing something? Thanks again for the quick response on my requests.

Here are a bunch of Swype MetaMorphs I have been working on for the Vibrant. I plan on making more so keep checking in, and feel free to make suggestions!
I am by no means into any major developing or coding. I'm just into basic theming at this point. I make these because I enjoy mixing up my Vibrant and proving why Android is the best OS.
A special thanks to hoey2011 that got me started working on these by being the first I know of to create swype themes.
(Unzip & Apply) with MetaMorph. Use at your own risk! I have tested all on my Vibrant first with no problems. Reboot is not necessary.

I'm pretty sure these will only work on the Vibrant because they replace files with the same names.. If any developers provide me with the necessary files pulled from various other phones/roms I can theme them out. As much as i would like to make them for other phones, I would hate to not be able to test them myself. But we shall see...

Well, my suggestion would be, instead of browsing the Vibrant forum, which contains WVGA resolution themes, etc., why not browse the G1/Magic/HVGA resolution boards? If anyone has made themes for Swype there, they will work with your version, since you have HVGA resolution as well

unzip new theme
use the back arrow, find the .zip
it will extract, then press "close"
now it shows what is going to be changed, click "apply all" in the bottom right
It will take about 30 seconds
close metamorph and open swype, you new theme is awesome.

Themes look awesome. Having one small prob. Once I save the .zip to folder on my SD, I can open the folder in metamorph but it then says "nofiles". Does it need to be on phone mem?

And my phone is moving extremely slow now.

Its not actualy an image over swype... it directly replaces the original images. Mine lags for a second or two after flashing it.. but this is just brief and not an ongoing issue...

The files in the stock vibrant metamorph are LITERALLY pulled directly from the apk used to display them. Also, there is no such thing as "the" galaxy s rom, as there are way too many variants now to single it out like that, like we could with the G1, Hero, etc. I have a GT9000 thread in themes and apps, maybe you could look for some help there? I do not have a 9000 to test on or I would, but seeing as how much of the basic software is the same, Swype, Samsung Keyboard, Touchwiz, etc., I don't see why these morphs are not aligned properly.

I am actually using the cyanogen one but I always like to be able to change back if I needed to for some reason. Good Job on the themes tho.
I replied on your thread in the sgs forum- hope this info helps you, if bout il take a screenshot tonite. Its definitely to do with the 'i' logo above the swype one, look at any of the keyboards on these phones and you'll see

right now, I'm using Zenexp but then I put Aloyosus (probably spelled wrong) either one and the sense clock shows up and the clouds come out squares.
I dono about you, but the clouds in my sky are all square. Maybe you should try moving?

what do you mean? I know that whichever rom I use its the same thing over and over. Like example; if its a rainy day, you see white small boxes dripping down the screen. Don't know what it can be. I must have deleted something that's causing this. If I go to the actual weather widget to pick a city the effects are fine. its the effects on my home screen that its happening.
Did you wipe before flashing a new rom? Sounds like if your problem carried over to Aloysius maybe you forgot.

Its the lwp patch from aloysius conflicting with the htc weather wallpaper animations. the patch breaks weather wallpaper. you need to add this file to /system/lib/egl in the aloysius thread to fix it. its not a flashable zip, open the zip, extract the egl.cfg file and push it or use root explorer or an equivalent to paste it.

Mostly just a bunch of stuff ive/found stolen from other themes and some elements of my own. Let me know how you like it. The services.jar replacement can be dangerous so you should know what youre doing. The theme itself should be ok. You will need Metamorph and root of course.

why not just make a black status bar then?
really id just need the white text but im really not confident in my ability to do it and the majority om these talk about deodexing and i just dont understand enough about the OS to do much outside of a simple step by step.

The letters and clock mostly. the images are all in a dark grey that would be tough to see so it would be nice to have all the icons(3G, vibrate, silent, battery, signal bars, text message and email) done in a white/light grey as well. I understand that is a bit tougher to do. I could make the images if I could rip the current ones off my phone and just use photoshop to change the colors then repackage and install. but I dont know how to rip, repackage or install. so I just wanted to use his method with icons I would make, assuming this is possible.

if you give me the images i can prolly make an installer for you, but you should maybe enhance your knowledge on this stuff first before you try to do it as these things can be dangerous.

It is possible however you would have to have a theme to work with first. You would then decompile the APK using a tool such as APK manager or you can open the apk directly using something like Winrar or similar. You can then navigate to the folder of "drawable-hdpi" which inside the "res" folder. This is where all the pngs are held.
well i was gonna release v0.8 for the green 2.5 vzn rom by angdroid, but i like the looks of that fission rom that they are working on.. maybe ill do 0.8 as planned and do 0.9 for fission once they are done with it.

First let me say that I am not a dev nor can I properly edit .9.png files yet. These are just 'Tweaks' I made to the Stock Samsung MMS by switching png files. A few are quite nice while others,... well, I included them because someone just might like them. Right now these are installable manually which is faster than flashing. I do hope to have them in flashable form soon, however.
The installation instructions are step by step so any noobs can install with no problems. Use the paid version of Root Explorer. First delete or move you current Mms.apk to your external SD card (in case you want to reinstall it later). Then place the new Mms.apk in System/app, longpress on the file and choose 'Permissions', uncheck the boxes to match rw-r--r--. If the new app doesn't show up right away, reboot.
I have no probems sending Sms or Mms and get all my audio notifications although I know this is not the case with everyone. I don't have all the answers, so if you can help with any information on why certain people can't send Sms or Mms, please share it. And if you want to just say 'Thanks' to anyone, please use the 'Thanks' button

LOL! I'm asking because I want to credit those people! But if the chain stops at you, that's OK. I already made versions of my previous Gingerbread Dark Theme tweak with green, blue and black icons. I don't like the black one, though, so I'll look and see if Loki's is any better. Thanks!

Yep, I was so happy to learn how to get rid of them. I first found that Captivate app by MikeyMike01 back in mid January and it wouldn't work for the Vibrant, so I took it from there.

Let me save you the trouble. This is for 2.2 roms not 2.2.1. I believe that jellette posted a blurry fix for 2.2.1 in the themes just make sure its the i9000 and not the 4g vibrant version

Also , I just renamed it from Mmsv1.apk to Mms.apk then copied and pasted, replaced the currant one, no need to fix permissions...at least on my end.

Sorry guys, no one has posted in here in forever, so I just poke my nose in every once in a while to check the downloads. Yes, it does fix the blurry mms problem, but not the current one on 2.2.1 Roms. For that there are two fixes, the first from the new 4g port, and then Jellete made a separate one.

Your welcome, duce! That is a good question and I don't know the answer because it depends upon the theme you are using I think. Right now I'm using clean tangerine, so my notification icon is orange. I'll guess that the default icon is blue, knowing Samsung, lol!

Just to be more exact, the reason a captivate rom would not work with this is because of AT&T. They have some message center that their particular mms app calls. Everything will work fine until you try to send something, then it will FC. I know this because the original mms that I made was the Gingerbread one made by MikeyMike from the Captivate threads. It was a phenomenal app with more funtionality and twice the size (in bytes) as any other mms.apk I'd seen.
Apk's can be really strange. The Galaxy Tab email.apk will work in either 2.2 or 2.2.1. So will the TouchwizGTG launcher from the Tab as well as many other .apk's. Then you come across some that don't work like the OceanWaves live Wallpaper. Just didn't want you to automatically assume .apk's from other Roms would automatically not work. You must test them yourself.

I'm still investigating what works with what. It would be easier if I would flash something else and test it myself, but I'm not willing yet. My health hasn't been that great lately. I can manage to edit simple .9.png's though, so that might goad me into redoing everything.

For Bionix 1.3.1 only... this does not contain the Project Linda 2.0 sounds. They are compatible, and can be flashed seperately. Link in my sig.

I take no credit for this whatsoever - I just combined some things I like to make my own personal theme, and decided to share it.

All I did was inject the icons from splash of color into the bionix blackout theme. I also added the browser, media provider, and settings menu from splash of color. Also, the icons to the android and rotary lockscreens have been put in because they are the ones I like to use. I loved the black and white, but it felt a little flat to me. So I mashed this up and I like the results.
You can check the two original posts for screens, and you will figure out what you are getting.
To Install: Download file and place on root of sd card, reboot into recovery and wipe cache partition and go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache. Flash and reboot. It will be a long reboot, don't freak out. Mine took about 4 1/2 minutes when I installed it.
Issues: The rotary unlock screen shows a vibrate icon, but it puts the phone in silent mode when you use it, not being fixed. The stars for comments in the market are white, and I don't care.
I will not be supporting this in any way, it is ONLY for Bionix V 1.3.1, and I am not responsible if you screw up your phone. I just created this for myself, and thought others would like it, so I decided to share.

I love both the splash of color and blackout, but I went with splash because the phone process on blackout kept FCing, which is still happening on this mash up for me. Love the theme, great job.

Has nothing to do with being lazy. Why install something that when we don't know what it looks like. Being lazy would be posting without screen shots. Kinda half-assed.

I just figured people would be able to look at the links for the original themes and realize they have the icons from one, but the base of the other... and then they get to see more screens of the themes.
Then again, my fault for putting that info in the middle of the post, because people don't read anymore...

If flashed onto Bionix-v 1.3.1, does this theme bring back the off-center lockscreen dots from 1.3, as Splash of Color 2.5 does?

I an not sure if I put those in, but the android and rotary locks had most of the icons restored. Don't think I did the dots, and I don't have it installed to check. Could someone running it give a better answer? I haven't abandoned it, just trying something else out right now and I don't know which icons they are off the top of my head...

So after testing for a couple days, I have finally been bit by the CM7 bug, and I can't go back.As of right now, the only thing I can see myself changing to check out is Team Whiskey's AOSP 2.3.3 when it is finished. We will see how it goes from there...
This theme will no longer be supported or updated by me. Anyone who would like to take it over and carry the torch, go ahead... the base is there.
