I only have experience with one ROM (Aloysius 2.0.1 v12), but it is significantly better than when I was not rooted. I am impressed.

Best ROM for battery life?

Well Ive been running CleanROM DE for a while now and I like it. Problem is the battery life is terrible for me. I've tried everything and I just cant improve it. I get about a 10 percent drop in an hour with light to medium usage. If the screen is on I can literally watch he bar drop.
what other ROMs can I try that seem to have good battery life?
Either of Chingys roms.

Definitely. I used ineffabilis gb and I got awesome life. Throw in v6 supercharger or turbo prop and you'll be awesome
Agreed, I get amazing battery life on ineffabilis deus with the latest ics firmware.

+1 Chingy's roms.
I know the hardware varies slightly on each individual phone, but I'm getting the best on either Ineffibilis ROM, and also the last couple of Joelz BAMF roms.
how does chingy roms compare to clean rom dev in terms of battery life?
Are the ineffabilis GB ROMs? Im on the ICS firmware?

Thanks had a feeling that was.
I get fairly good life on newts one xxx rls. I got about 10 hrs today while streaming over 4g, texting, 2 calls and some Facebook. I'm sure I can get better battery life after I get over the excitement of sense 4
I have CleanROM DE 1.4 and it's the best battery life I've had, which leads me to believe you should be looking more for a different kernel. I've tried upwards to 10 different ROMs. I'm using the 3.13xx kernel he posted in Post #2 of that ROM thread.
Also, just a note, upgrading the firmware helped tremendously. Not just using the patch, but taking the dive and flashing the RUU. My phone got better with both battery life and heat.

Yeah I can get anywhere near that, just texting will drop it to 50ish percent by 2 or 3.

Ive done all that. Im on the newest JB hboot and running the 1.13 kernel, hasn't helped at all. Heat was never really an issue.

Have you tried recalibrating the battery? It sounds like you have a bad battery or something.

Calibrate the battery how? by running it all the way down and recharging it? Yet that happens a lot actually lol
Is there something that can check the health of the battery? what MAH is left and things like that

Battery Monitor Pro is great. Even logs all that data and has nice graph. It also allows you to swap batteries and also the battery data with it so each spare battery you have is correctly calibrated.

I hope you don't mean recalibrating by clearing battery stats in recovery, cause that does absolutely nothing for battery life.

i thought it wasnt a problem cause i asked in terms of battery life..
Too many variables determine how much usage you're going to get out of a charge to be able to definitively say "rom/kernel X" will give you the best battery life.
That's why these threads are frowned upon (essentially a waste of time; you won't have the exact same experience with a given rom/kernel as me).
Only way to get great battery life is to read/learn/tweak/read some more/tweak/etc/etc. All the info you need is on this site, you just have to do a bit of digging to find it.
for me stock roms always have best battery life..
yeah asking a question like whats the best rom is stupid but he asked a concrete question, whats the best rom in terms of BATTERY LIFE. i think its legit but im not a mod to decide. still, it hasnt been removed so i think im right. im also curious btw. thats right u can tweak a lot and improve batt life but there are definetly better roms for battery life, there are some with good performance, others have great features etc.

Haven't you read two posts above you? I think that's why it's not right to ask these kind of questions. And why answering on a question from at least two months ago..?
