Can't boot with haREt - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android General

Hey, I'm trying to boot Project Android on my friends Rhodium, but it gave me a broken partition error, it "cleaned up" and rebooted, so I partitioned the sd in rom manager on my phone, and got the same error, what am I doing wrong? I used to have a Topaz, so I used to know how to do this, what am I doing wrong?????

What build are you attempting this with? Probably would've been a good idea to post in the build's thread so we would know that... .

It dosent matter, he got a thunderbolt today and canned his rhodium

One click root app

Well I work for VZW and we have a few fascinated and I put the one click root app on one of the fascinates and it looks like "its a go" I didn't do it cuz how do I tell my boss I broke a phone before we cab sell it

Where did you get one touch root? Is it in the market because i know it was but then google took it down right after i bought it
I found it in the market, I downloaded it on my incredible, used astro file manager to make a back up, then emailed the apk to myself, used my WiFi tether from my incredible and connected to fascinate to the WiFi and went to my email and downloaded the file, allowed unknown sources, installed the apk and that's it

I can confirm this does NOT work. The app doesn't even copy update.zip to my SD card. I was able to pull the zip file from unzipping the apk, however it fails signature when I do the recovery step.
give it a day or two at the max after tomorrow. I'm betting by the weekend this phone will be rooted and fully open for ROM's and whatever your heart desires.
I for one wouldn't trust a one click root that wasn't specifically made for the fascinate itself.
The app would need to be able to "handshake" with the device, so without specific parameters, no way this could work- unless of course designed for Galaxy S and any "custom" efforts VZW may have asked HTC to add.

He didn't use any fix, my friend.. The one click root doesn't work on the Fascinate.
That root method won't work on the Fascinate, as it needs signed update.zip files for recovery mode. Same as the Epic. Bit meh, really. The Epic root method seems to work though, sortof.
As far as the OCLF lag fix, it should work fine once you have rooted using other methods. I'm guessing the Fascinate is using RFS, so it probably would speed up your device.

He's "working" with jdkoreclipse, who ALSO said he was "working" on a bunch of ports that NEVER came about. So why do this ALL over again? For a supposed ROM that you can't make calls with, has no wifi, isn't scaled right, and has no touchscreen? A ROM whose only evidence of existing is from the mouth of WhoAreYou (Who's never released anything) and from jdkoreclipse (Who's already made an ass of himself).
Why not make the thread when you actually have SOMETHING to release?

Normally I'd say them are fightin' words, but based on what I know, I think that Miguel has a point (albiet a little hostile for some peoples' tastes). Time and time again I see vapor from WhoAreYou and jdkoreclipse. The majority of the work they produce is being relied on from the community and those are not habits this (very) small Slide community can support.
I'm sorry WhoAreYou - while your intentions are most likely quite good it would be best to keep things to yourself for now and learn from others' work. Thank you.
it clearly states in the title and i quote "A STATUS LOG" the only status thus far is people criticizing and hating, the poor guy cant even post a log

I'm going to leave this thread alone now. I'll ignore anything having to do with WhoAreYou or jdkoreclipse, or this port they're "working" on. Have fun with your "status log", something I've honestly never seen a real dev do, only jdkoreclipse. I'm guessing you weren't here when that happened.
"It boots". But basically nothing else work. Honestly, there's no point in releasing, or making this thread, until the supposed ROM is at least a semi-daily driver. You know, until it let's your PHONE make calls?

Do some research on Google, you can change these setting without an app. I have used a value in the build.prop file before, but I believe that there is a better way to change the LCD density.

So... you've just discovered that the Froyo+Sense ROM you've had someone working on doesn't actually have Sense? Which was also part of the reason you needed a different kernel for the touch screen to work?
this doesnt make any sense lol xD why not just wait untill a leaked rom from this new phone is found... it runs froyo sense and its basically an european version of the htc aria with another name and color of course xD

[WARNING] SD Card Partitioning

warning
do not be an idiot like me and use the partition sd card option in rom manager. It will mess up the phone's master boot record and you will have to rewrite the original one in order for voodoo kernels or anything that modifies the boot record to work properly.
once again don't be an idiot like me! Thank you

good thing this was put in development. Hey dev's, did this help you in creating your newest rom/kernel?

If you do this to your sd card, will the kernel not rewrite the MBR when you reboot? Like the first time you flash a Voodoo kernel.

Uhm... in light of your signature, you do realize this is the Verizon Samsung Fascinate forum, right? Not the Sprint HTC Hero forum.
Because this post does not apply to HTC phones. Or Motorola phones. Or LG phones. Or any phone that isn't a Samsung Galaxy S.
Check below:

That site was allowing to browse directories a couple of days ago. I guess owner is here, on forum.

Thanks XDA for helping fix sis' Eris.

My sister's Eris wouldn't boot (boot loop hell). She brought it to Verizon and they told her its broken and she needed a new phone. Her 2 year contract is not up yet, so she isn't qualified for an upgrade.
Luckily she told me about it and so I gave it a shot trying to fix the Eris. I'm usually only on the Viewsonic GTablet forum, so know nothing about the Eris. After about a couple of hours going through a number of posts on XDA >HTC Eris, I figured it out that for some reason, the Eris' recovery ROM (PB100IMG.zip) was missing on her SD card, not sure how this happened. I downloaded the PB100IMG.zip file on XDA, copied it to the SD card, booted up recovery mode, and told it to reloaded Eclair. And the phone is now functional.
And all this happened without me posting anything, this forum is awesome. I'm gonna try to root it to get CWM and maybe one of the xtr roms on her Eris next. Thanks to everyone that put in the time and effort to make XDA an awesome resource for Android devices.
TLTR: Vz told sis that her Eris was fubar'd. I fixed her Eris thanks to awesome XDA community.

You say that, but there is another example of a potential brick that happened from a clockwork recovery on androidforums: http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/350856-htc-eris-ruu-wont-run.html#post2795130
I don't recall seeing that from a phone with Amon_RA as the recovery - if there are examples, there are far fewer. Root methods that put Amon_RA on the Eris seem to be much safer. (Running clockwork as a flash from Amon_RA seem to work just fine; I do this all of the time now, because I prefer Clockwork's data wipes and Nandroid backup procedures.)
