Stock app backup NEEDED!!! - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

I recently flashed to the gingerblur ROM on my Atrix, and somehow, my "Home" app has been replaced with the gingerbread launcher. So I'm looking for a backup of the BlurHome.apk app that came preloaded. So if someone could upload an apk, or a titanium backup folder or any other backup that would be super helpful. Thanks in advance.

down load gladatrix no theme and use the apk inside that http://goo.gl/zyLBA

It's not somehow, that's what it was supposed to do. GingerBlur is Gingerbread theme based.
You could try Launcher Pro and get some added functionality. Like custom docks, custom icons in docks.

Alternatively you could download the 1.26 sbf file and start over. I know its the long route but if you are doing anything with these roms it is probably a good idea to have that around in case anything goes horribly wrong.

Go into the gingerblur thread again, there is a file called gingerblur bloat restorer. Delete everything other than the ones you want and install it..

[Q] Apps disappear in Market of CM 6.x ROM

Some apps disappeared from Market (can no longer be found with either browsing by category or using the search function) after I flashed CM 6.0/6.1 ROM, including FoxyRing, PingChat, Seesmic, Foursquare, etc.
I have tried MarketAccess.apk, no luck.
Could anyone help me please?
Is this because of the Android version? Is froyo not supported by those apps?

OK I admit this a stupid question. Of course it is because Android 2.2 is not supported by those apps. :-S

I find all of the above apps when searching for them. Using Floyo 1.1.9, which is a 2.2 rom

Thank you for your information! I will try replacing my Vending.apk with that from a Floyo ROM and do some investigation.
Tried Vending.apk from Floyo. No luck.
Also compared system versions between the two ROMs. Didn't see any difference.
Totally confused now...

Attached are screenshots to show the version information of my current ROM and the Vending.apk.
It's driving me crazy!
I just flashed Floyo, installed FoxyRing, Foursquared, Seesmic, PingChat with the Market, and saved the four apk files in my sdcard.
Then I restored my CM6.1-RC1 and try to install the four apk files I just saved.
But my phone won't let me install them. It just keeps saying "not installed".
What is the trick that Floyo ROM has done to make it work??

[Q] Gingerbread Keyboard

Okay, so after flashing the new Bionix-V ROM, i have been customizing it to fit me.
One thing I have been dying to get was the skinned Gingerbread keyboard. The Blackout Green one in particular. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9814026&postcount=169
There is a flash-able .zip and an .apk file. I have tried both methods and still no luck. I followed the instructions and can't seem to get it to work.
I know that the Bionix-V ROM comes with the stock gingerbread keyboard, do I have to delete that one to install the other one? I'm just worried that it will get deleted and I cannot re-install and.
Thanks in advance!
I believe you do have to delete the original first but before you do copy it to ur sd just in case it doesn't work. Don't forget to reboot after you remove and install

Yes. The next update I post (at least for my mods of them) will automatically remove the original before applying the update.
Sounds good, I will delete the original Gingerbread Keyboard.apk and flash your mod. Will keep a look at your post for the update!
Thanks guys!

I released an updated Blackout Green yesterday in the original MTM thread. It's near the end. You can also just find the Gingerbread Blackout link in my signature and find it there.
Just starting work on the rest of the colors as it appears no issues have been found with what little changes I have made.
Just an fyi... im using the blackout red gb kb... i just went in with super manager and renamed the stock one and then pushed the blackout (just to make sure if it didnt take i wouldnt lose the stock one too) and all is good and this keyboard is SWEET

[Request] Defy Stock Alarm App

Hi. Can anyone please post the stock alarm app from Motorola Defy? I upgraded to CM7 and I really miss the 'red' alarm with tap to snooze and slide to dismiss! I am currently using ZDClock which is good but not as smooth. I really miss that app
Sorry off topic, Did you have to flash CM7 with RSD or what? If so could you provide a link to SBF file, kinda new to all this, thanks

It won't install, I tried. And moving it to the system\app and changing the permission won't work as well.
If you want to try, download a 2.2 nandroid backup and extract with unyaffs.

Sad Hope Quarx integrates it instead of the 'Clock' app since his version is a mod

I have the exact same question and the same issue! I love the eclipse rom I'm running right now but also miss some of the the Motoblur apps.
I also have a another rooted razr running the stock GB that came with it, so I found all the apk files in the system/app folder, but have not been able to install them onto my razr running the Eclipse ROM. I've placed them in my system/app folder, fixed the permission, and rebooted the device, but no luck.
Please help! Thanks!
I am also interested in this, particularly the text messaging app from stock. I really liked the style of it, but the eclipse theme overwrote it and i couldn't restore the old one because it was not deodexed, I think. If anyone can make the stock text app work that would be appreciated.
My dream is a blur free stock ROM...
With stock agenda,sms/mms,dialer,gallery and configurations menu...

[Q] Stock rooted and wanting to freeze apps.

I rooted using the one click and was hoping to freeze some bloatware and unnecessary extras. Casual was nice enough to freeze a few things for me. I also froze the ota apk (sdm01.apk don't recall exactly). Does a list exist what is safe to freeze/remove anywhere? Thanks
Depends on what you are trying to freeze. You can use es file explorer or root explorer to delete them out of the system/app folder. Most custom roms are already debloated. Test out a couple of Roms and find the one you like. As for a list, should be able to just google that.

When i need to freeze an app i usually use titanium backup, it lets you freeze/unfreeze applications.

I have titanium backup and just freezing them using that is good enough for me. I also like the stock rom, no need for custom. I actually found a list in the sticky for the android development how to thread, must have overlooked it before. Thanks though.

Deleting the apk also is a good way to free up system space and make your handset run faster. Also when I say custom ROM, it does not necessarily mean that it does not have the stock features anymore. Just that there are added features that help with functionality and performance.
