Does that mean that they actually ported froyo to x86 ??? or they using some sort of emulator???
Someone have an answer out there

Intel announced yesterday that it is going to port Honeycomb to i86. Not sure about Froyo though.

Exactly I do believe its an atom based Intel processor. Which would mean we have a froyo port to x86?

[Q] Building CM7 from source?

I've noticed a few CM7 ROMs popping up for the Droid Eris, and wanted to take a shot at compiling a ROM. Unfortunately, the Droid Eris isn't a supported device in the Cyanogenmod downloads, as far as I can tell. Which source is being used for these ROMs? is it a generic source, or is it different for each device?

This link should help, it's the cyanogenmod link to the newest nightly build which is RC1, it's the same build that Workshed based him GB rom on.
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=RC&device=heroc
And here is the link to the newest "experimental" builds.
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=heroc
To find these easily just go to www.cyanogenmod.com and at the top right of the website, click on "Devices" and then find the HTC Hero (CDMA) and click on that. Hope this all helps !
OKAY! so we ARE using the Hero CDMA build! Thanks alot :3 topic can be locked now.

workshed is not using the Hero CDMA build for GSB. He is compiling directly from source. If you look at the source, there are vendor trees for official devices included in the source. workshed has a vendor tree for the Eris that he uses with the source to build his ROM.
Take a look at EasyDev and how it works. It will give you an idea of what's going on.
tazz is taking the Hero CDMA build and making it work for the Eris. The two devices are so close, that porting from the HeroC pretty much always works well.
could I compile this in 32-bit linux? or would it have to be 64?

Yes, if I recall correctly it was from 2.3 (Gingerbread) on that requires 64-bit Linux to compile.
I was just checking cause the CM Wiki had instructions for building on 32, but whenever I'd try to compile, it'd error out. So I wound up switching to 64-bit.

The device has to have a 3.x version of the firmware available for it. Look for your devices forum and then find an update it. Or, look in your settings for the update section and check for an OTA update.

It most likely doesn't have an update at all then. Next best thing would be to look on Google.

We'll have to wait until the androidarmv6 team can modify the legacy msm7x2x code for Android 5.0. Google has removed legacy msm7x2x code since ICS.
Guys dont search for miricals. The best rom for this phone model so far is optimus nexus me v6 by todonormal. Just search it in forum. If you want the latest version of android just buy a new one. They have better qualifications and hardware. Anyone who wants information about flashing root and others just read carefully older threads from this forum.

Running Android 4.x on Nexus 9 - can it be done?

Hi all,
Since Adobe Flash isn't working on Android 5, I'm curious whether any Android 4.x version can be installed on Nexus 9.
What do you think - would that be possible?
Thanks!
Does Adobe Flash work on 4.4 thought they killed it ages ago?
To answer you question if somebody ever build a 4.4 ROM, why not?
but personally doubt it would happen.

See this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57046513&postcount=836
As you can see, FireFox Beta 34.0 and the unhacked ICS Adobe Flash are working on some Lollipop devices, but not on others.

If you look through the thread, you'll see that the only time the SDCard doesn't work is when its formatted for A2SD. Those conflict with Froyo right now.
I've not included any locale outside of the stock AOSP ones, others will have to be added manually.
