Running Android 4.x on Nexus 9 - can it be done? - Nexus 9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Since Adobe Flash isn't working on Android 5, I'm curious whether any Android 4.x version can be installed on Nexus 9.
What do you think - would that be possible?
Thanks!

Does Adobe Flash work on 4.4 thought they killed it ages ago?
To answer you question if somebody ever build a 4.4 ROM, why not?
but personally doubt it would happen.

As you can see, FireFox Beta 34.0 and the unhacked ICS Adobe Flash are working on some Lollipop devices, but not on others.

If you look through the thread, you'll see that the only time the SDCard doesn't work is when its formatted for A2SD. Those conflict with Froyo right now.
I've not included any locale outside of the stock AOSP ones, others will have to be added manually.

Well you should post this under the q&a thread. Well Miuiv5 is good and its based on sammys 4.1.2 and its not going to be update to newer android version unless someone make it based on cm. Cm is good to and cm10.2 is almost as stable as stock 4.1.2 if even. In general both roms are good if you like never android version and fast updates (everyday sinse Miui is updated every friday) go for cm but if you like interface and custominization go for Miui

Most stable MM ROM?

Hey,
I've been using CM's Nightly 6.0 ROM [11/26] for the past 24hrs and it's OK, most things work properly, although flashing SuperSU gets me bootlooped and I cannot gain root access in any other way (Dev options etc).
So I've been wondering, for those of you who are using a Marshmallow ROM on your OPO,which one are you using and how stable is it?

Latest official cm13 nightly, most stable so far.
There is root, it works fine.
Ask that in Android General or somewhere..this is for deveolpment i believe....but try VM13 its the best 6.0 IMO
Broken Os is flawless. Can't be found on XDA though. Over on Google +.
I like darkobas as a rom and you need to also go on google plus as no xda

As already pointed out, this is a development forum, not a Q&A forum. Feel free to flash as many ROM's as you'd like until you find the one that best suits your needs.

[Galaxy S2] How to update CM 12.1 to CM13? Is it compatible?! READ FIRST PLEASE?

My phone model before any update:
Model: Korea version, Galaxy S2 SHW-M250K
Android version: 2.2.3
Changed it to: ICS I9100
Android version: 4.1.2
then updated again to
ROM: CM 12.1
Andriod version: 5
Recovery: CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100
What i want:
Wants to update it to CM 13 or Pure AOSP Marshmallow 6
I'm new on this phone rom thing. But somehow managed to update it after long long explore.
My question:
1. Is both compatible?
2. If it's compatible how to update? Which recovery should i use?
3. I'm still using CWM recovery. How to change it?
4. Whats different between pure and cm ROM? Is CM better or pure marshmallow? Actually i want to use pure marshmallow but is it possible? Whats good of CM 13?
PLEASE DON'T USE ANY ABBREVIATED WORD. EXPLAIN IT LIKE I'M 5 YEARS OLD.

Why is Pixel launcher not working in MIUI 8 in RN2?

Hi, I am using MIUI 8 Global dev 6.9.1. I have been trying to use pixel launcher. I have installed both launcher apk and wallpaper picker apk(that are shared by android authority). Still its crashing. I have allowed both of them and google app to autostart. All other permissions are given as well.
Also no work in AOSP 5.0.2 by Vova
also on vova cm12.1
It is more of an OS compatibility than the ROM itself. All of above Roms are still using Lollipop. My AOSP 6.0 RN2 runs both apk smoothly.

Xiaomi Android Q beta programme

Hey XDA members.
Many of you asked me how I came across a beta version of android Q (MIUI n11).
Tonight I stumbled across the link I found last week.
Mi9 an a few other phones are eligable for the beta testing programme.
I could not get the file I downloaded to show in the Pixel Experience ROM I'm using or in TWRP. It may possibly be flashable in Miui? I do not know.
So if you are feeling brave an more of a geek than me enjoy
https://www.mi.com/global/androidqbeta/
We already have a thread about the Android Q Beta ..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/android-q-beta-mi-9-t3928180
And actually the Android Q beta shared there is a stock version of Android, not MIUI 11... So, I wonder what you've seen/tried
I think its the same android stock release not miui 11
It's pure, stock Android.
This guy has no idea what he's talking about.

I had not flashed it when I shared this. I tried it an your correct it isn't MIUI 11. And seemed to be gesture based with a lot of bugs. Confusing as the link seemed to indicate it was MIUI 11 in a beta form. It seemed like some kind of stock Android beta to me an I could not root it? Very wierd.
Oh well back to the drawing board for me?
