Guys I installed Elelinux 6.2.0 Hero Speedmachine v3 rom. But I did not like the stock keyboard and decided to use the HTC Ime back again. So I flashed HTC Ime as a rom from recovery mode.
Now the question: If I go to: Settings > language&keyboard under the text settings, I can clearly see both of the keyboards: HTC_IME mod and Android keyboard. How can choose 1 of them?? I could not activate HTC_IME mod. Could you please help me?

You have to find a text box like in the message app then long press on the text box then clock input method then HTC ime

Every time i write an sms (handcent sms) the annoying language chooser pops up. Does anyone know how to remove it safely?
If you mean the blue language bar, the only way I have found is to install another system keyboard such as SlideIt

u can remove it:
Settings -> Locale -> Default input -> Turn off
However, this also disables portrait keyboard, but im fine with it, good luck =)
Is it possible to add new shortcuts to this app ? Let my try to explain my request. On the bottom of the screen I have shortcut to my messaging system and when I click it my standard messaging app starts but I would like that it starts chompSMS instead of standard app. So if someone could help.

Yeah, press and hold on the messaging button and wait till it lets you change it to another app then select the icon you want.
But when I do that it offers me just few shortcuts and there is no shortcut for chompSMS

Yeah, you can change it in the settings, they're still adding new languages all the time.
Where can I change the language in launcher pro, I didn't find the menu.

can you be more specific? do you use CHT? do you have 6.5 or 6.5.x?
I wanted to put swipe on the keyboard im using now.
What does the swipe keyboard look like?
I cant find a skin/theme for the bar menu on the top and the one on the bottom.

again, you don't put swype on a keyboard. swype is its own independent keyboard. either you have it installed or not. if it is installed (came with your rom) you can choose it like you choose any of the other keyboards.
top and bottom? again i don't understand how best to help - you need to answer my questions i asked above (they are asked for very specific reasons). also a picture of what you are talking about will help.
A noob question....I just rooted my SG2 using chainfires method, worked great! I would like to be able to change the icons on the bottom of the home screen, can't stand stock messaging app. What's the easiest way to go about this?

Why here you asked this?There is a Questions and Answers topic in this section.....
Use a launcher like ADW ex or LauncherPRO and you can customize the icons or swap them round. Touch whiz is pretty shiz to be honest.

To change the icons on the bottom of the screen first hit the applications icon. Now hit the menu key and go to edit. You can now change the fist 3 icons but not the Home/Applications icon

I try everything but with no luck.
So I first push for ex the phone icon (1one sec), then the menu key and then the edit and I get the 7 home screens ... Strange Any help please

Open the app drawer then press menu key and select edit. You can then change 3 of the shortcuts. The app drawer shortcut cannot be changed.

I also notice that at that moment you can also add a map's and pagess. I'have to admid this is the best choise I could make I'm come from htc (desire sencassion iphone ...) and this is one of the best, except the battery compare to iphone4.

I'm on CM10 (9/19 build) and using Swype as my default keyboard. I love the quick reply option for texts, however, the stock mms.apk causes the return key to be the emoticon shortcut and I am not a big fan of that. I've searched all over and, so far, have only found the following solutions:
- install a modified mms.apk which gives me a return key, but causes me to lose the quick reply option.
- install a modified latinIME.apk which gives me a return key on the stock keyboard, but not on Swype.
- make a template that inserts a new line (with a character on the new line, since templates can't be blank) which seems like a lazy workaround.
Is there any way I can get the best of both worlds here, with quick reply and a Swype return key?

smiley for a return is really retarded. how did they ever come up with this. so where do i find a modded mms.apk? or i have to compile one?
i went to look for a pre-existing mms.apk on my phone, but didn't find one. thought it should be \system\apps\ - it's not. where then.
is mms.apk specific to CM flavor, or the phone model, or what?
In MMS hit menu, go to Settings. Then at the very bottom. Soft keyboard type ->show enter key....
is the soft keyboard setting from Mms.APK system wide?

i don't have this option - maybe it's only on ICS? i'm on gingerbread cm7.2. but also - do we think that this will affect messaging apps system wide? namely - i'm not using the stock sms app, but go-SMS, which does give me an enter key. my need for enter-key is primarily in weixin/wechat.

Guys I have found easy way in ICS & JB may work in KK as well (Not yet checked)
Just hit and hold Shift key [look like up arrow] You will see ENTER instead of SMILEY. :good:

i stopped fiddling with swype a long time ago - semc was the answer
i had updated my ROM to something based on the stock ROM, and the sony ericsson stock app is swype-like, WITH an enter key and multi-language selections, so i could stop fiddling with swype, who were hostile to user-requests, and wasting everyone's time with their licensing.
semc_intl_keyboard_textinput-tng.apk
this is from xperia ray st18i, modded stock gingerbread. i haven't tried it on anything else, but suspect it might work on any/most androids.
hope this saves someone some time wasted with swype.
