no, the CRT animation is in the 2.3 video driver inside the 2.3 kernel. there is no way to port it.
Wasnt there a bootanimation.zip of this by Tonicaid I think? I searched but can't find it. Can someone post the link or a .zip download on the post for this.

Hi.... Wondering if there's any mod out there that can help my get a ripple style effect (like honeycomb) to run on JB 4.2.2.? I am on CM 10.1.... I've googled and only came across a possible app but I was hoping for an actual system mod or flashable zip of some sorts.
