Connected my Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 Mouse... - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Successfully paired and connected my bluetooth mouse to my Flyer . Of course, since Gingerbread doesn't natively support mouse operation, all I could do was moving my mouse and see the home screen switches to different ones.
But this is good, because Honeycomb should support mouse natively, ala Asus Transformer. Once the Flyer gets the HC upgrade, this can become very useful.
So far I love my Flyer more than I do my Transformer and iPad.

BT mouse

yOkey, so I bought an BT mouse today its an SpeedLink mouse. I connect it to my eeeePad and it connects normal but there is no pointer on the screen and nothing is happening. Ahat should I do so I can use the mouse normal? My dad has an Iconia A500 and a usb mouse works why isnt this working then?
I just tried to link the MS BT mouse 5000 and I have the same problem. The device is listed as "Linked but not connected".
Mine shows that its connected and even draws a little mouse there in the bt setting where the name of the mouse is but still no pointer
I just tried my microsoft 5000 and it works great.
my m$ bluetooth 5000 mouse works fine also
Maybe I don't have proper settings on the Transformer. Mine is not rooted. For those who got your mouse working properly, are your units rooted?

Can you post some pics and the SPEC of your mouse?
Its one of these http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=122&pid=23484&paus=1&PHPSESSID=dce28a6009c928796a967515f267bc6a
Since my MS 5000 works fine with my rooted Nook Color, I have to assume there is a bug of some sort in the Transformer with regard to BT devices. Also, my rooted Evo 3D works fine with the NC for Barnacle tethering, but no luck at all with the Transformer.
Sounds to me like a driver issue with the 3.1 release of Honeycomb. Let's hope that 3.2 cures the problem.
I'm on 3.2 now no bt mouse compability yet.

Ya, he he he.... silly josh.
I have to work on Google docs spreadsheets and other things that are hard to deal with without a mouse.
I have a keyboard / mousepad combo plugged in and it works very well. But I was really hoping others had found some nice units that worked well with cases.
Alas, it seems fee have the thrive and there is not much energy around it. Certainly not in these forums.
Am I wrong?

Logitech has one
I bought a Logitech usb keyboard that has a mousepad. I threw out the box, but on the back of the keyboard it says "K400" I use it for word processing on my Thrive and it works well.
sorry to revive this but, is that keyboard wireless? Does the Logitech receiver work with the Thrive/Android OS?
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo
Google CE Compass, Bluetooth HID Wireless Keyboard Mouse Control for PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone 4, PDAs
I looked and looked for a keyboard with a built in mouse until I found this to use with my Thrive. Works well and I'm happy with it.
I use the toshiba bluetooth keyboard and a regular old usb mouse and it works wonderfully. I use it mostly for splashtop hd so I can do computery things on the go, and there is a bit of a lag to each but it's streaming over wifi so it's no big.
Why do all of the thrive threads have to be dead

Prime with generic mouse

I can't get my transformer prime to work with a generic ebay wireless mouse. It works fine in windows, shows up in device manager as HID-compliant mouse. But in the transformer prime I get no input. The same happens to a wired GE mouse. But logitech mice work fine, I tried a wired G5 and a wireless mini mouse my friend was using with his laptop before.
Also, with the USB Host Controller app it's detected as SINO WEALTH SINO WEALTH
Btw, this isn't the only time I'm having trouble with the usb. I have a 32gb flash drive that won't mount when plugged in, while my other flash drives work fine. But when I test a friend's drive too, sometimes it won't work. I somehow got the 32gb drive working once when playing around with some usb apps from the market, but after disconnecting I couldn't do it again.
Never had a problem connecting a mouse to my prime dock and using it, used lots of different mice however most of my mice are logitec (like the brand, good CS keeps me coming back)
Its my experience with knockoff ebay perifials that they use firmware that "just barely works" with windows and has very limited compatability. Every mouse i have bought from a store has worked, no problem... Perhaps when you buy your next mouse you can take your prime with you to check compatability
Aside from that not sure what to tell you. The prime has generic USB drivers, you can try finding a driver for your mouse for linux and porting it over but since its a ebay special i dont think thats going to work.
Only other thing i can think of is buy a new mouse and make sure it works before handing over the money
Good luck! Let us know if you find a fix!
I also tried a wired GE mouse. This one. Neither work, but they do get detected from the USB Host App. It's weird that even some flash drives do not work. I'll see what I can do.
I'm using wireless Logitech G700 and it's perfect!
works without issue, scroll wheel, extra buttons, just as on Windows.
The only issue I have with it is that on Windows I was able to remove the "acceleration" of the mouse pointer speed, but on Android there is no such option.

USB (wired) mouse.

Hi guys, I'm probably getting this tablet soon, so I'd really love to know if someone has managed to get a common wired USB mouse to work with it, and if so how it actually performs (responsiveness, lag etc). I have a Logitech G5 gaming mouse, and I think it would be pretty neat to be able to use it at its fullest with this device, for browsing and whatnot, and maybe also for gaming, like for playing FPS games like Modern Combat 3, together with the keyboard dock. I'm not sure about this becase it has pretty high dpi, but if it actually worked at say at least 1500 dpi it would be really awesome. Any experience with this kind of usage? Please let me know
Well, a wireless mouse with a USB dongle works fine with it, so I assume a wired mouse would work as well.
Hi, It works great, no problem with it.

Hi,
Could you tell me which wireless mouse with USB dongle works with this tablet? I have an old micro innovations wireless keyboard and mouse. This doesn't work when I plugin using the Asus USB dongle. It works fine with the PC.
Thanks
My Anywhere Mouse MX works fine with it, but what do you mean by "Asus USB dongle"? Your mouse will only work with its own dongle plugged into the USB socket on the tablet's dock.
Just plugged in my Logitech VX Nano mouse last night into my keyboard dock. Worked like a charm. LogMeIn even recognized the right-click as a right-click instead of Back or Menu.
i've got some lg crapper- works great.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I don't have the dock. I am plugging in my wireless mouse/keyboard dongle into the tablet directly using ASUS USB converter not the dock. If I plugin a wired mouse into the USB adapter it works. But not the wireless one. I was wondering if any wireless one work because the tablet would need the driver like in windows PC.
Hey guys can someone confirm if this will work in FPS games like modern combat?
- TF300T Dock + usb mouse
or
- wireless keyboard and mouse
If this is working how do you map keys?
Thanks!
I've got Logitech G500 and I want to say this: it rocks baby !!!
could anyone play mc3 or mc4 with dock and mouse !?

[TIP] Some cordless mouse and keyboards(BT) work on Prime with USB from dock.......

I've been trying some mouse and keyboard devices that i have on my prime via the USB on the dock. This because i want to hook up the prime to my flatscreen with the HDMI out, and use a cordless mouse or a keyboard as remote. I was surprised to see that they are working well. So i thought why not share the info. My Prime is on stock rom. And no i'm not an employee of Logitech
Logitech wireless mouse M325, works with the USB unifying nano receiver
Logitech MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse, works with the (not so nano) USB receiver
Logitech diNovo Miniā„¢ keyboard, works on bluetooth connection not with USB receiver
Oh Wow! This is great! Someone finally tried it! The rest of us were afraid our Primes would EXPLODE if we put anything in the USB slot! AND you got stuff to connect to the bluetooth!?!? BAZINGA! This is amazing!
No seriously.... Where you been bro? This is nothing new. Please read the stickies before you post. I don't mean to flame, but when stuff like this is posted in a forum that has been going for so long by people that really don't read before they post, someones gotta say something... Dang.
I just use my bluetooth Logitech ps3 keyboard It has a touchpad built in which makes it perfect for a media pc.

The Logitech AnywhereMX mouse with its nano receiver works great as well
