[Theme]Mod of AChep's Froyobread theme(06.11.2011) - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

Only tested on FroyoBread! Use at your own risk!
I guess this is my first attempt at a theme.
First of all thanks to Achep for posting his wonderful theme!
I started out thinking about changing the battery icon, to the round one, I'll post screenshots later. Anyways I changed some of the icons and the font. I guess this only counts as a mod.
The biggest problem with this is that I don't know how to change the font size, so the font looks a little bit weird at first. It's actually pretty small. If someone could teach me how to change the font size or change it by him or herself I will by utterly grateful. Thanks! If and only if you have succeeded in changing the font size, please send my a copy so I can update this thread!
To be fixed:
[*]Battery icon on the lockscreen. I'll find a way to get rid of it.(Or do you guys like it?)
[*]Font size
[*]Some bugs with Google Pinyin. Not sure about other IME's. Look at my screenshots to find out what I'm talking about.See how the character is against the top line? I believe that is because of the font size, but not so sure.
[*]Installation of font is irreversible unless you flash rom again.
[*]Reserved for bugs I have not found.

Nice theme.
I just got it on my Tattoo.

Thanks
What would I do to get it working with Fydor's ROM? (see my sig for link)
Great work JoOoSs!
Can you please make a How-To tutorial with the steps to make this possible?
I want to modify the look of my sense UI, but without create a custom ROM.
Thanks!
@David_94, i don't know if the fyodor loads tattoo-hack on start, try to execute install.bat. (I will update in a few minutes my script to automatically mount /system as RW)
EDIT = I think you have to do "adb remount" in a CMD before execute install.bat for the fyodor, if it works please say it.
@huetson2 & arturo025, i will make a HOWTO in the same place maybe tomorrow, it's very simple to do.
Thanks for interesting.

Is it possible to skin Power and Music widget as well.
They really look awful, they always did. I saw that they are modified on Cynogen ROM so maybe it is possible to achieve.
Thanks again for a beautiful skin
@arturo025 : the HOWTO is online
@lukic, yep it's possible, i just have to found where are the PNGs.
What do you want exactly ? You want i modified it with dark colors ?
Yes, I would like them black too.
To match your skin better.

1st of all, thanks cryshop! Nice work, I'm glad you found the time!
2nd, the problem with the zip is, that the whole resources.apk might be different...for example I extracted those files and put them in my .apk...
3rd, does the ROM really need to be de-odexed? What if I put the different png's to my resources.apk ? - edit, You don't have to be deodexed, it works just fine on B 0.1 Rom, which is not.
EDIT2: When I touch the display(screen locked text appears) part of the image sems to lose it's transpatency settings - there is a vivid ende below the text - is this normal?
Thanks!

The black half-transparent rectangle at the bottom causes that. It seems to be something in the xml files which I'm not able to edit. I can retouch graphic files only, sorry for that
nice work! I just made a bit more space between the 2 arrows.
Cause it was overlayed by the text saying: "screen locked" (since in dutch its scherm geblokkeerd) and that's much longer
png is attached for dutch people or people that want more space between the arrows (hope you don't mind cryshop otherwise just tell me and I'll remove it asap)
Really like your work

Hi Cryshop,
Just a question here, but could you make a lockscreen that would correspond with your navbar? It would actually need editing of one png The shape is OK, but the style would look nicer
I tried 3ds max to make one, but I need some study in that

Basic Framework Edits

this is a very basic guide to change colors and maybe icons if you've suitable icons..
I don't know anything about signing apks and stuffs but I did the following steps and it worked for me...
THINGS YOU'LL NEED :
7zip
Any Imaging Software that can handle PNG files(I use PHOTOSHOP)
FRAMEWORK-RES.APK file
STEPS :
Right Click on your framework-res.apk
Click 7-zip->Open Archive
go to res folder
Extract drawable-mdpi anywhere on your pc
edit the files you want with your imaging software and save them
now drag the modified files to the drawable-mdpi folder in the zip file
Open the drawable-mdpi folder in your zip file
select the modified files, hold and drag to the zip archive and leave it
it will ask you to add the files or not
just click yes
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Close the file
Push your framework into your phone
(I use Xrecovery mode for pushing it, cuz its safe)
Code:
[B]busybox cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk[/B]
---------------------------END------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT TIPS
if you're upto modifying colors than you may notice that some files have extension .9.png they need special way to edit (actually not so special lol)
just open them in your imaging program
you'll notice few black dots and black border
something like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
keep those black things as they are, and mess around with the other colors
-----------------------------END QUOTE----------------------------------
for now I've just tested this with colors and few icons and it works
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if anyone needs this framework (I changed the green color to orange, changed the lock symbol to stock it was too small and colored some of the network indicators from white to green lol)
FRAMEWORK-RES.APK.7z
Good. i tried to change the xml files. but the process needed me to use apktool to decompile the framework-res.apk.
when i used original framework-res-apk, it decompiled successfully, but when I used gingerbread framework-res.apk by pulpoff, errors about the .9.pngs occur.

yeah.. i used gingerbread theme's icons and they worked however you can only replace those which have the exact same name you know not everything is possible lol
nice work. can you explain how to change battery icon, i want it show percent, like 58% in front of the icon. i think that's what people need most
I see now, that in framework 'res' folder, in 'drawable-land-mdpi', we have stock layouts of Lock Screen (i mean, stock bar for unlock move and sound).
How can I set it to default? I don't like that SE original LockScreen theme...
Find all the icons named as SEMC_slidingtab and replace them the way you want

Sorry for the quite long delay. But i am having some rather odd problems. The themes i redesign has lines which is quite visible for example when a dialogue box is loading. It pre-modded themes (actual file) the said box appears white and clean. But in my modded theme i get odd and ugly yellowish egg colored blotches in the form of lines.
I have tried VTS also. But to no avail. So far i have just changes clock design and apps drawer button (hate the default bubble type ugly buttons)
If anyone can help me please feel free, while i try further experimenting.
