[ROM] 2.3.7 Tweaked V4.0.2 K:ButterscotchV1.3 (10.10.2012) - Nexus One Android Development

Markdenver's N1 AOSP 2.3.7
This rom is built from AOSP including all fixes up to date and then tweaked for better performance. I know there is not much GB love around with the awesome devs working on ICS and JB but I wanted to update this since it's been over a year.
As usual, I am not responsible for any harm to your device. I have had no problems with this ROM but do your due diligence before flashing this ROM. By flashing this ROM, you take full responsibility for whatever happens to your phone. Have Fun !
Please refrain from flaming people on this thread. I will do my best to answer questions in a timely manner but do not clog up this thread with rude comments.

My bad. Trying to edit the build.prop while watching the game. New V1.0 zip is uploaded and a new link provided. v1.0 app2sd fixed and uploading now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks man, will give it a try right now... does it have FM Radio included? Thanks once again!

i'm interested in something like this since geo quit doing his thing... i am curious however if it is possible to get t-mobile theme engine to work your rom... CM7 spoiled me xD

It is possible to get it working but it is a lot of work and modifying many .apks from source for all the redirections to work properly. There are many CM7 ROMs out there with this feature built in so I am not going to spend the time doing it. Also, the Gingerbread stock launcher would not handle it well and I don't plan on changing to ADW or LauncherPro. I do plan on customizing the look of this ROM and am open to suggestions.

[APP] Spirit FM Radio (real radio TI/Broadcom) - xda-developers is similar to miui and htc sense radio because it has RDS aka text-info of station/song name. BTW is there a pull-down notification power widget for N1? I found notif-pw-widgets for desire hd and evo - not sure if they will work on nexus though. I hope to try out Go Launcher Ex. I think it's free on the market. Adding famous htc sense LWP and nexus S microbes LWP would be nice addition to STOCK.

The FM Radio is dependent on the kernel and until I find a custom kernel that i am happy with or build one myself, there wont be an FM Radio included in this ROM. I am working on implementing the power widget and if it doesn't break the build it will be included in the next release. I am trying to do as many things as I can without diminishing the functionality and stableness of stock ROM. Microbes Nexus S LWP is already included in this ROM.

Facebook sync
Hi!
App2sd fix work perfect! I have another bug... Facebook won't sync at all... I have the option to add facebook in accounts and sync but when I select it, nothing happens...
Thanks in advance!

does it have trackball wake and Polish language? if not, will you add it in future? could be very nice

Ok thanks for noticing that, I never would have. I think it is somewhere in the source code Google is trying to block Fcebook because "they collect data and keep it to themselves for advertising purposes and they don't use the Google API for contacts". I will work on it when I get back into town tonight.

one more question: what about battery life and which kernel do you recommend?

Yes Polish language is included. As far as trackball wake, I am not a fan because it always wakes up in my pocket. I can try to implement it though for you guys in the next release.

great thank you.

+1 for TB awake please!

dev, may i use this mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059423 and this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031908 with your ROM? probably yes, but want to be sure

I assume you can, I have not tried Tiamat's kernel with this ROM yet, but let me know if you get SOD's because I was getting them when I used it with a different ROM. I have not tried that mod though so please let me know how it goes. Remember undervolting your phone to a high extent may cause erratic behavior so be careful and good luck. Please post feedback.

did you read the themed icons list? ... only a few of them on adw launcher to make it clearer.
browser become chrome - which it is.
camera icon is way more beautiful in NexTHEME than in stock.
this bundle is mostly for users who wants out-of-the-box features and for cooking with mods when cyanogen will be able to work as 2.2 sources will be released.
but ok i'll see about that.
flashing! ....

wow.... Not sure what to say. Because of someone's personal beliefs you will not use his build?
You'd better start researching all the items you own and who designed/invented them. Might want to find a box to live in too because im pretty sure at least one "spiritual" person had a hand in building your house.
Probably a box too tho...
I installed mdeejay's build and thought it was great, but didn't like the Spring stock apps and Sense. This is perfect for me. Thanks.
Screenies posted!
be nice every one has rights to post builds he'll be better on the next update i got faith in the new newbies
Temporary fix for the dialing problem is found at the bottom of this page: http://goo.gl/UrS7
Great Idea
This rom is really an awesome idea. All that sucky "Sprint" stuff gone . Nice
Thx
This is a great rom! Good first attempt. Thanks.
Great Job
Great boot up screen The line about an inch down from the top of the screen is gone. Runs very smooth. Still same minor issues from the original, but it's GREAT! Thanks for the great ROM Will post if any issues come up. Thanks again

missed that post but man, wow. God is the answer and it appears you need him way more than you are aware. I understand your post must have been deleted or edited out somehow, but seeing it in a quote is disturbing. You should not attack someone based upon beliefs. I think first off you should be handed a temporary ban, cool down time if you will as your post shows serious issues at hand.
Like it or not bud, I will pray for your soul.
dlding, i was hoping for something like this giving it a try right now

[ROM]|Aug 1st| Energy™ ROM / ICS / Tweaks / Beats / Battery Life ~ Best STOCK ROM

Welcome to the "Energy" ROM thread !
There's a new kid on the block for stock look, tweaked ROMs. This ROM has been in development for a few months now and it's as solid as it can get. It looks completely stock, has Tweaks built in and features great battery life ! Try it !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Amaze !
I build my ROMs with these main goals.
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
Stock ROM available
Rosie 5x5 Layout (tweakable)
Overscroll colors (tweakable)
Enabled GPU UI rendering
Deodexed, zipaligned, tweaked
Extra Quick Settings
Improved SD card read ahead
Busybox + runparts, TitaniumBackup
Zipaligned
A few HTC Apps removed, like HTC Navigation and some widgets
A lot of junk removed
Stock HTC Kernel
Screenshot by pressing Power and Home
Advanced Power Menu
Updated hosts file for ad removal
A lot more stuff... check the changelog below
Fast... Stable.. and GREAT battery life with the stock HTC kernel
You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
How to Flash this ROM:
- Root your device
- Install a custom recovery
- Install the downloaded ROM .zip found in post #3

SAY WHAT! awesome man
could you add Stock or something to the title to better differentiate the roms you have posted?
Thanks man! Been waiting for this
Thanks!! Anyway to make msm backup (to gmail) work on this rom?!
Thanks again!!
Deleted post.
Thanks for the stock look rom nrg, ive been patiently waiting for it.
Rom looks amazing. Small problem though. I'm stuck in a boot loop. I have S-on but it doesnt say it requires it to be off. Am I missing something?
It goes past the HTC logo and get to the beats audio, then reboots after a few seconds. Tried to flash attached kernel but it gives me an error. using 4ext recovery.
Thanks for all your hard work. Im still using your Energy rom from earlier this year!
SmartAssArt. For the Amaze you can't just flash an ICS Rom when you're coming from GingerBread. You need to flash the ICS RUU first. You can find the info you need in the Amaze Bible.

I knew I was missing something. Thanks! I'm looking into it right now.
Can't wait!
So... 227 downloads and like 3 comments in the thread ? Is the ROM that stable that you guys have nothing to discuss about.... or... ?
Been testing it and stable so far. I like it better than ARHD and even gets better score, 3100+ on Quadrant advance, if anyone cares. Love the Camera. Battery is at about 2% drain every hour. This is the first charge, so I'll power cycle it at least a couple of times and see. Will check Bluetooth streaming at work with Ford Sync. Great job! Thank you.

It's just perfect . We have run out of problems to report, you are the boss.
Finally found some time to play with all the options in Energy Tweaks, and I have to say it is probably the best thing to have happened to the Amaze so far.
Dumb question buuuuuuut,
I'd rather ask and get flamed than brick my shinyphone.
Can I just flash this via CWM if I'm already running energy, or do I have to do a factory reset first?
Thank you very much for your patience guys, I'm only asking because I know some devices you have to wipe the device each rom install, and I'm new to the amaze

Bugs
WiiMax (As all Photon Roms)
Dock Audio
Need to disable and re-enable notification flash light in settings for it to work properly
Duplicate SMS (Random if issue arises boot into recovery and wipe d. cache and cache. Temp fix only still working on it)
Phone.apk Force Close (random doesn't effect usage mainly for GSM users)
Code:
If you have FC on Phone.apk when you reboot the device follow steps below.
Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks
Enable "Use only 2G networks"
Reboot
Afterwards you can uncheck and reboot no more FC (I believe this should only be a GSM issue)

@ all Photon users giving this port a try...
From here on out it would be nice if you guys could help WiredAnim to iron out the last few issues. We helped him with the port as far as we could (and it was surely a steep learning curve for him to dive into ROM development), but since no one of us has the device nor has deeper knowledge about it we got as far as we could.
Enjoy the result of his hard work and sleepless nights, and, as already said, help straightening out the last few problems.

thought that the upload would be done in a couple of minutes but with seacom link down it is taking forever
It's okay, I guess the rules state that you have 24 hours to provide a link.
I see you added Adfree, very nice program, however it uses an insane amount of RAM 50 MB or more while running in the background. I therefore use Adaway which seems to work really well but uses NO RAM because it edits the hosts file.
