[Q] Custom Boot Animation - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

Has anybody successfully changed the default boot animation and replaced it for a custom one? If so, how? Do i need to buy 'Root Explorer' to be able to do it?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

[Q] new here...need help

hi guys.. I recently rooted my phone using z4root and was able to root it. what I would need help on is how to backup the settings of my phone (optimus one). the kind of backup where if something goes wrong I can just load my backup settings to start over.
Also, I installed rom manager and it requires me to flash clockworkMod recovery. when I do that it asks me to confirm my phone model but my phone model isn't on the list to choose from.
And once that's taken care of could someone help me flash custom roms.. TY
I'm new to all this, so please bear with me. ^^
DON'T USE ROM manager (clockworkMod)! It will brick your phone! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9549856
Just follows steps for custom recovery This will load right manager for you!

[REQUEST] (Port) Red Rage droid boot animation

Hey guys,
A very, very cool boot animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF_vfEs6Jok&feature=related
If someone could port this boot animation to the Atrix, or at least lead me to a download that would work on an Atrix/how to install (either through CWM as a zip or place in root using root explorer), that would be wonderful .
Or, if someone could make or lead me to a boot animation that has bios-like text scrolling up and down with something going on (like in that video), it would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
Here's the bootanimation. Install with cwm

Bootanimation doesnt change

I installed a couple of custom roms that have custom boot animations and they display beautifully. However I decided to go with clean rom which has the stock bootanimation and I've been trying to change it with a custom one but it never changes. I used the root explorer method, doesnt work, I downloaded one of those utilities on the market to change bootanimation, when I hit preview current boot animation it display my custom one, but when I reboot or even re-import the custom one and reboot it displays the stock one.
I searched but I cant find an answer. Help please? How is it even reading the stock animation with the custom file replacing it?
EDIT: I thought to mention I am using a P7510 16GB

Can you help my to remove something?

Dear rdlegy,
You can not simply change your boot logo. It has been placed there by the developer of your Custom ROM.
It can only be replaced by modifying the kernel.img or boot.img of your device.
Regards, Neptune
You can easily replace the boot animation by moving a new bootanimation.zip to /system/media and overwrite the old one. Change permissions to RW-R-R after you've moved it, or else you'll get a bootloop. If you're not sure how to do it, head over here where you can download a new one and get some more help. If you want the stock animation back, your best bet would be to go to your device section and ask if anyone can upload bootanimation.zip for you.

Build prop edited - boot loop

Hello guys, as I have said, i edited my phone build prop file. Those two lines manufacturer and model
I have HTC Desire 310 Dual Sim, and I wanted to trick Google Play to think that it was Samsung Galaxy S5
I used ES File Explorer, so when i restarted it, i was in a boot loop. I can only see HTC Logo, and I can go in the recovery.
I copied original Build prop. file to my pc, and my phone is rooted, and in boot loop.
And help would be appreciated.
What to do know? Please help. :fingers-crossed:

Do you have a custom recovery installed (like CWM or TWRP)? And if so, are you able to boot into recovery mode?
Thank you for your response, I fixed it, I had CWM Recovery installed, so I just flashed the stock ROM (Sp Flash Tools, and something else (I forgot what that was ).
Now it working like it used to be.
Thank you for your response.
