fixes
1.there is a small glitch with the market after the first few times you use it
to fix it you go into Settings/Applications/manage applications/all and click on the following:
Google Backup Transport - then click clear data
Google Partner Set Up - then click clear data
Google Services Framework - then click clear data
Market - clear data
Reboot the phone, and Market should then work
Make sure you add your gmail account 1st and attempt to use the market
2.in order to get the icons back in the wp7 build you must go into launcher settings and change the color of the tiles
3. i seem to have forgotten to change the "rel_path=" in the magldr startup.txt, so to change it just rename android to the folder name you use and make sure to add your gps zone
Q & A
how do you change the lcd density?
you go into the included build.prop folder and copy the root folder into the honeycomb folder. like this: sd card/honeycomb/root. the numbers of the folders are the lcd densities
ugh more forgetting...
now you must create a path in your android folder... like this honeycomb/root/system/ and you place the build.prop there
Thanks

Are they all CM7?
Guys, you know you could just use CM7 theme chooser to mod WP7, Xperia, Sense, Honeycomb, Galaxy S, and even Motoblur.
All in this forum thread right here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=527
This is sort of a useless thread. Isaiah, work on that Honeycomb sense build. It's pretty amazing.

that's been updated
i appreciate the input for the users but i try to do a little more than just the theme chooser in each one of my builds. i use several different apps to make it as much as what i'm trying to do as possible. these builds will eventually mature and move more and more away from just a theme. and if you have any ways of doing that i'll be happy to listen

Requires LauncherPro and Widgetlocker (Motorola lockscreen)
Be sure to thank kevin2516 for his MotoBlur theme for CM7 theme chooser.
Here's the theme apk and launcher icons.
You're smart enough to figure this out.
I posted in the AmericanAndroid thread how to mod the launcher, if you need help you can always check post#3 there.
BTW, it looks identical to the real thing. You could pass it off as one of your new builds. xD

CONGRATS brother,awesome work
m gonna try the honeycomb 1st,and plz give 1st priority to honeycomb, its unique
thanks for all the hard work mate

kevin2516 is just Quietly Brilliant!

First impressions:-
1)Boots and feels faster than other SD builds
2)Wifi works, even with Adhoc
3)The market didn't let me download anything until I cleared the data for the systems apps as it's mentioned by Isaiah in his fourth post.
The only thing that is preventing me from using this awesome build is that every time I try to install anything from the SD-card or from the market the phone restarts itself?
-tested on both Honeycomb and Xperia builds.

Loaded honeycomb for a while: First impression, stable and fast, had no problems
with wifi, market and some other apps I tried but if I change the density with included app
and reboot I can’t unlock the device, I tried 160,180,220 settings with no luck.
Any advice?
Thanks.

changing with the app is only temporary. you should change it by copying the build.prop in the included folder. you just copy the root folder to the honeycomb folder. if you want to change it to a number that i did not include use es file explorer.

isaiah,
Which sense software/version are you using?

Sense: My report
First of all: Thx for this very fast sd-rom!
Usability: very smooth
Graphic: no glitch!
WIFI: ok
Sync: MyPhoneExplorer (I'm searching for HTC Sync )
Phone: ok (3g,2g)
Data: I'm not able to connect to my mobile operator
I've tested it with national and international roaming settings - but no success.
Maybe this issue occurs because i'm using a virtual mobile operator?
Please keep on developing such interesting build.
Please let me know, If I can help with testing a new version.
bye
peter

jus tried the xperia v1 sd rom..
vr fast boot n smooth during the operation.
but i cant get to log on the facebook with error..
wake up from sleep there is also some lag..
but really a nice n interesting build~~

Everybody here at XDA
Everyone who downloads
Everyone period YAY
This is an espresso nightly 124 with google apps installed and working a2ext already added and working completely. Dalvik-cache is not moved automatically and therefore some steps must be taken:
Open up a terminal
su
cd /system/bin/
sh a2sd cachesd
phone will reboot
The reboot will take up to and more then 5 minutes this is expected so do not be alarmed if this takes a long time!!
A little bit about this theme: It will not look exactly like the original because well a few of the originals images were no longer in the original rom so a couple things are different:
1. The dialer isnt as themed (the buttons)
2. The power control widget is slightly different
3. The lockscreen is clear(this means that i have made all of the buttons clear so you actually need to know where they are originally to be able to use them)
4. To get all of your apps to have the custom icons you need to download and app called bettercut or one similar and download the icon pack free in the market(don't whine you have a2ext so memory isn't an issue)

Changlog:
Well 1.0 was the initial themed release based on cm-12 something lol
1.1
based on same nightly as 1.0 more framework edits and dialer themed
2.0
based on the latest nightly as of 133 full with the latest gapps added as of 10-08-10 so this should be as updated as possible. Heres to hoping we have the 6.1 RC candidate next week.
and a new boot screen
launcher42 was added for anyone that doesn't like ADW or LauncherPro. it is the basic launcher2 edited by cyanogen himself so credits to him. [it is not themed to match the theme may update that later if people really like it or will remove if its not needed]
2.5
updated to latest cm 6.1.0 rc 1
a few edits to ADWLauncher to make it more theme appropriate
should i keep LauncherPro or end support? i havent updated to the latest release version... It seems popular though. So the Question is keep launcher pro and remove adw or keep adw and remove launcher pro or....... keep both just install each on the data partition so you can uninstall the one you dont want????
help me out here lol.
dialer edits
ADWLauncher edits: to keep the dock background looking even you need to keep the AB scale factor at 5 or lower otherwise the secondary action buttons will be too big and mess things up

Expect the various colors Rosie themes first.. But instead of just rosie and framework i will be theming widgets to match to add to the whole theme
ChangeLog
Based on the LegendToSlide rom
*Glitches with that rom are still in this one[landscape is wonky and no keyboard lights]
*Added a2ext>/sdext [ext2 or 3 only] [automatic]
*have an overclock update.zip to make this thing really fly[edited to not break wifi, max on this is 930 but that is an error as the phone doesnt support 930 but 940[now i know not everyones phone will clock that high so i have edited the rom to boot up at 600mhz and you can clock up to wherever you want[DO NOT check the start on boot with setcpu just incase you clock it too high otherwise you will have a bootloop]]]
*dalvik-cache is not automatically moved but is simple enough if you have ever ran a rom i added a2ext to [terminal or adb]>adb shell[terminal=su]>cd /system/bin/[terminal=same]>sh a2sd cachesd[terminal=same]>phone reboots may take a while to boot properly but all is well
*think that is all for now>may look into keyboard light issue but as someone more experienced then me failed dont hold your breath
*Rom is fast as crap even when only overclocked to 800's [everything loads instantly no lag great great great which is why i chose this over the other sense roms]
Theme ChangeLog
unavailable
[will try to make them no wipe updates so you dont have to keep redownloading all of your apps to try a new theme]
For those wondering why i didnt choose to use gratious slide here is the reason: I must have wifi and since it is currently broken i cant use the rom...When it is fixed i will drop the legend rom and may start theming it depending on how migueltherocker feels about it.

This is a work in progress. The goal of this project is to move it into a Theme.apk for the new "Theme Chooser"
Credits:
tnpapadakos (buy him a cappucino)
This is his hard work, and it's very good looking, I'm just trying to help minimize the zip size and get it moved to an apk for Tmobiles Theme Chooser
this is a good start in the right direction, dueces
Awesome, thanks!
*sigh* - DON'T
Seriously, guys... The themeing engine was added to CM7 precisely to avoid this kind of messing up with the ROM, so *don't* do this. Themes can now be built and distributed as APKs, you can even market the damned things...
This comes from an installable APK, for example:
xttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/10355648/mau5-land.png
Check the vendor/tmobile/themes/Cyanbread and Androidian stuff for examples.
Awesome I love it thanks
So this is a .apk or theme? Could you explain a bit more why you say this is a bad idea?

Had some issues, working now on #15. I edited the link in post #1 for the working full colorized build #14
I dig this, but am not keen on flashing something on top of nightlies that could jack with the ROM that's already a WIP.
Once you convert to a theme I'll definitely give it a whirl (not much liking the current 3 themes, but love the functionality & options it will bring).

It's a theme, installed as an APK. Messing up with ROMs to change layout has always been a problem, it's _very_ easy to mess up something, especially when those changes are done by simply repacking the resources (unzip, replace, re-zip). It's a fairly frequent source of support problems for developers, and it's just an ugly way of themeing a phone.
CM7 includes a themeing engine developed by T-Mobile, and the main reason for it is to prevent these problems (and it is _very_ powerful, allows you to change almost anything from layout to animations, not just graphics). If you're running a recent build of CM7 (or any of the many CM kangs) , open the "Theme Chooser" application and choose one of the 2 samples: they are a very small example of what can be done. Note that even the window transitions are changed. Then search the market for "greybeard", and have fun installing your first market theme

well, no, its not a theme yet
its actually a kanged version of cm7
THE ONLY THINGS THAT ARE CHANGED ARE:
images in framework, SystemUI, Settings, Bluetooth, Browser, Calculator, Calendar, Contacts, Deskclock, Email, FM, MMS, Music and Phone
no layouts or xml files are changed, only images
the images changed have the exact same names, they have only been colorized so that the menu icons and notification bar icons that were grey/black and white before are now colored...some others that were colored before (like battery for instance) were changed to blue or some other design that i preferred (i personally cant stand the signal bars/wifi indicators in gingerbread)
this was originally just something i was doing for myself for a few months starting in july, 2010, but after i finally shared it in october over at cmforum, it took off as people liked it
there is nothing else changed in the ROM itself, so flashing this overtop of your current version of cm7.*** doesnt "break" anything else
so really its as simple as having both versions available on sdcard and flashing one or the other
honestly, its much to do about nothing, its just a different look
if someone can tell me how to "theme" the framework, and all those apk's listed above without doing it this way, i'd be glad to do it, it would save me alot of work, but i like doing it anyway

For those of you crying that this will break ****: No, it won't. It is a full rom. Nothing is broken/breaking.
I am working on adding it to the theme chooser, as that's the goal here.

Flashed over a non cm nightly everything is running fine, just flashed and all data is there

[ROM][THEMES] DarkHazard & some CM6.1.1 themes

Introducing my first real custom ROM that I have used all fresh images for. This is CyanogenMod's Gingerbread Nightly Build #26.
I have removed several .apk's that I personally don't use including:
DSP Manager
Development
Live Wallpapers
CM Wallapapers
Magic Smoke Wallpapers
Visualization Wallpapers
Browser
Gingerbread Themes and themed apk's
ProTips
QuickSearchBox
and SpareParts.
By removing all these I have condensed the ROM down considerably and everything still runs smooth.
I have themed a few of the apk's in this ROM:
ADW Launcher
Phone Dialer
Camera
and Settings
Other apk's that I replaced the Icon Launcher default images.
Camera
Broswer
Music
Video
Calendar
Contacts
File Manager
Phone
Gallery
MMS
and Settings
I've added a Custom Bootup Animation that has a touch of 'Old School' feel to it to add to the 'screen off/on' CRT animation. Redid the sliders and slider buttons. Added some more custom images throughout the ROM here and there including the USB connection image is now changed.
I've changed the StatusBar Icons as well. Custom WiFi, Cell Reception and Connection Speed Icons for increased visibility. Updated all over icons for better visibility as well.
This works well as a standalone if you like have a ROM that's been reduced in size to increase your MTD partition or for whatever reason you want a slimmer ROM. Otherwise this can be flashed over an existing Gingerbread ROM build 26 and will work just fine.
WARNING: Flash at your own risk, you know the possibilities of bricking etc etc.

Updated CM-7.Darkhazard
Post your Likes and Dislikes. I'd like to know what people think of this ROM as I plan on making more Themed ROMs in the future and might cater to some ideas if enough people like certain things.

I agree, everyone uses the browser. and I dont like any of the android market browsers.
The one thing i dont like much is the boot screen, but that I can change.
Looks good. I'll probably be pulling some of the images for cm7 when there is a stable release. Over all its not me, none-the-less its cool. Good job dude

I use Dolphin HD cause it seems to suit me better. I'm uploading a new ROM the includes a browser with a changed icon. This is the kind of input I like. for those that would like just the browser I themed the icon, I'll link that too.
I somehow thought Guitarist and Musicman were the same person...
Guitarist has no avatar, and MusicMan has a picture of a guitar
:S
love this theme man. can't even pick out something that I would want changed. again, great job, keep it up!
looks great!! Definitely will try it once CM7 becomes stable and have a fix for my WIFI issue.
Anyway, I was also hoping that I can have the % displayed for battery. Been missing that in CM7 from CM6..
Me too, though having a percentage display on the lockscreen helps out a lot. That, and gingerbread has built in CPU monitoring and some other nice features. Build 26 has been very stable for me so far.

looks good, can i still have the extra sliding unlocking things on this?
I think that was a slight issue with a few of the nightlies (can't recall which ones off the top of my head right now), I'll be updating this as a final release once CM7 does a final release. Though if you guys want the latest nightly updated version I have I'll push on getting some final touches and release a build 34 (when they do of course). This was mainly to give a taste of my first total themed Gingerbread ROM and find out what people like/dislike kind of deal. I'm still working in the background on this one and have 3 more ideas in the works so far. I'll be making bootup screens per theme as well. I might have some screenies ready by Friday for the Gunmetal Theme inspired by MGS4/COD Spec Ops.

Hey Isaiah,
Just wanna give you a friendly reminder to check out the guidelines as to what your supposed to have available to members in the first post of development threads.
Specifically, kernel being used, links to source code, your git(if you have one), etc.
I like the idea of this Honeycomb awesomeness. Just wanna help you get in-line with the rest of us.

thanks for the tip i'll work on it
My first impressions:
Superfast ui and boot.
Love the idea of the taskbar buttons. How can I get this for other builds?
Launcher pro looks amazing the way it is tweaked
Proximity screen off didn't work during call.
I am pretty sure lots of us would like to have this build with normal lcd density as well please.
Pressing the smaller buttons can be a nightmare due to lcd density.
Thx for this build, it looks just amazing, keep it up!
Can't wait to grab the update;-)
LCD Desity Solution
For those that want to change LCD Density here you go.
1 - Open root explorer
2 - Open System folder
3 - Open build.prop with text editor
4 - Scroll about 3/4 down to line ro.sf.lcd_density=120
5 - Change 120 to 240 and save,exit
6 - Reboot!
~ Note ~ The taskbar does seem a little oversized.
I tried it with 200 instead of 240. I prefer 200 setting. I guess whatever you guys feel more comfortable with.
just installed v2 for the first time and tried unsuccessfully to install "WhatsApp" from the market.
Performed these steps:
Google Backup Transport - then click clear data
Google Partner Set Up - then click clear data
Google Services Framework - then click clear data
Market - clear cache
Reboot the phone, and Market should then work
Now, the market is gone. I'm sure I didn't uninstall it, just rebooted the phone. How do I get it back?
2nd Q: Why is the LED always glowing? Can I disable it manually?
Query regarding vibration in lock screen.
Hi,
I used this ROM and have mixed reviews:
- Agree with RicarduZonta's feedback regarding UI and speed. Tweaks are very cool, especially the task bar soft keys.
- Kept having dropped data connectivity and when it would connect, would never go beyond EDGE. With other ROMs (AmeriCan, RAFDroid etc.) could have HSPDA connectivity.
Also, I am not sure if this question is directly related to this particular ROM or is more related to GB ROMs. Pls. excuse me if the question does not belong here..
How do I disable the vibration when I unlock the screen? I have disabled vibrate option in "Haptic feedback", keyboard and every where else I could see the "vibrate option".
Could someone point me to the right setting to disable this?

Hi, this ROM it's now featured on the Index of ROMs from the Android Development Forum.
Any observation please send me a PM.
Finally a ROM which is creative in their looks! Nowadays you see new devs coming with almost the same ideas like putting the best tweaks/mods in it and it's done (no offence). I really love you put CM9 and MIUI together. I am downloading it right now and cannot wait to flash it!

I really like the idea of it, but there are still some couple of graphical bugs. For example the status bar, if you drop it down you see a little line on the bottom which is from the normal screen. The status bar isn't fully on the screen. Another bug I had is when I restored my apps via ROM toolbox. After I restored them and opened the app drawer some of those restored apps had a large icon. I couldn't find how to make it smaller.

Thanks for trying out the ROM and providing your feedback. We are still lacking on some graphics and we will improve it in coming weeks and we will also have more themes to try out. Regarding the large icons issue, we haven't observed it during our testing. We will test specifically on this and get back to you.
