Just FYI: It's not Amazon that's marking up the dock, it's other sellers using their storefronts. Saying that Amazon is selling above MSRP is like saying that eBay is doing so. In reality, both those sites are serving only as the listing and payment mechanisms for other sellers.

Excaliberpc is doing preorders on even the 16gb. They're selling it for $50 over retail on Ebay, I doubt they have the sleeve in stock.

ExcaliburPC is putting a ton of listings on ebay all "preorders" for may, and marking it up too.
Very annoying. If I was a customer of theirs, I'd stop being one.
Yeah, but the TF101 is listed as Pre-order, and the sleeves are listed as being in stock with a certain number left (19 to be exact), and the base price is the retail price of $39.99. If it doesn't ship by Friday I'll get a refund.

My compliments to those of you who landed this fish for less than I did.. I'm always impressed by the frugal souls on XDA, and hope my children emulate your example.
My sleeve has just shipped (rather faster than I expected), and I'll see it by Saturday, not too shabby. The main thing is that we're all getting the very best Transformer case currently available. Just take care of that velour exterior, which feels wonderful to the touch but tends to attract lint etc.

Out of curiosity, what is it made of?
I got it from a auth seller on Amazon. Cost me a 25% mark up but UPS should deliver it along with my tf in a few hours. will post some pics.
For what it's worth (because it's backordered), the dock is now for sale at Best Buy (.com anyway). I'm waffling on the dock, but with my gift cards and RZ money, I can get it pretty cheap, plus I get a $10 gift card, so I'm probably going to take the plunge once it's in stock.

Contacted Amazon, ordered Dock, took out a free trial of Amazon Prime, got one-day service for $3.50 +/-, will cancel same within 30-days, might take a couple of days for delivery BUT THEY HAVE IT!!!!! Cancelled orders @ J & R and also Tiger Direct. Tiger has rec'd a shipment (much less than what it ordered), but it is going to take an unknown number of days for it to sort everything out and start shipping.
I'd grab the one from Amazon if I wasn't going to save so much from BB by using all my cards and points (good thing about being a tech nerd, a BB gift card is always a great gift!). I can wait, the dock is a luxury for my existing luxury

The private price has been steadily going down on Amazon. This is around $100 less that it had previously been, but still a rip off. I think mine is coming directly from Amazon, not through any third-party vendor.

I bought one of these yesterday at 6pm, paid for 2 day shipping and it arrived today at 2pm - 20 hours!!!
It looks great, like I just took it out of the original wrapper. I tried it for a few minutes, then upgraded (I guess that's debatable) to honeycomb. It's leedroid version, so I suppose it should be pretty good.
Now this is the first thread I read in the general section... what ever happened to the days when I would read for days on how to root a new system

They should have been readily available in your local stores since January, but for some reason Asus have been only producing a few here and there so your best bet is online here is a link you can go to what online store has the prime available at the moment:

Remember always verify first about their return window, so incase you buy a substandard prime you can easily get an exchange or get your money back with ease.
check Gamestop stores. the ones that carry tablets. I know the brick n mortar store in my area has them in stock now. I called the other day looking for a keyboard dock. they said no docks but plenty of the actual tablet.

I got mine at a local Best Buy. Every local store - of every possible chain - reported them as out of stock when I checked online. I listened to some advice my wife gave me....i called and checked. I was lucky enough to get them to hold the last one they had in stock for me.

Best Buy was my retailer of choice because I had a faulty Xoom still under their extended warranty. I had a couple months till expiration so I waited, hoping Asus' production would mature and supply increase, which didn't really happen as well as I expected.
If you choose Best Buy, use their app too. Search at least daily for TF201 and then click to show the locations they have it in stock. That and nowinstock.net worked for me. Call BB to verify they actually have it and reserve it if they do.

When we checked the price he told me it was on sale for $4.99!!! Bought it instantly. So if ur in the market for one of these check ur local T-Mo store and make sure u ask about the N6 cases if they arent out on shelf. Happy 4th all!

True I didn't see a shipping price since I kept adding everything (was other things I was shopping for). At $20+ shipping is free > Gas money
I searched for nexus 6 compatible accessories and found a few interesting ones.
