Total came to $51.55, certainly not cheap. It will take a week to reach me, however, I have the exact same type of case for my Ipad 2 and it is a superior product, worth waiting for. Fits the unit like a glove, with no sag or slack, all major switches and ports remain accessible, works well as a stand and exudes quality throughout.

Excaliberpc is doing preorders on even the 16gb. They're selling it for $50 over retail on Ebay, I doubt they have the sleeve in stock.

ExcaliburPC is putting a ton of listings on ebay all "preorders" for may, and marking it up too.
Very annoying. If I was a customer of theirs, I'd stop being one.

My compliments to those of you who landed this fish for less than I did.. I'm always impressed by the frugal souls on XDA, and hope my children emulate your example.
My sleeve has just shipped (rather faster than I expected), and I'll see it by Saturday, not too shabby. The main thing is that we're all getting the very best Transformer case currently available. Just take care of that velour exterior, which feels wonderful to the touch but tends to attract lint etc.

For what it's worth (because it's backordered), the dock is now for sale at Best Buy (.com anyway). I'm waffling on the dock, but with my gift cards and RZ money, I can get it pretty cheap, plus I get a $10 gift card, so I'm probably going to take the plunge once it's in stock.

Contacted Amazon, ordered Dock, took out a free trial of Amazon Prime, got one-day service for $3.50 +/-, will cancel same within 30-days, might take a couple of days for delivery BUT THEY HAVE IT!!!!! Cancelled orders @ J & R and also Tiger Direct. Tiger has rec'd a shipment (much less than what it ordered), but it is going to take an unknown number of days for it to sort everything out and start shipping.
I'd grab the one from Amazon if I wasn't going to save so much from BB by using all my cards and points (good thing about being a tech nerd, a BB gift card is always a great gift!). I can wait, the dock is a luxury for my existing luxury

I pre-ordered the dock from Best Buy and picked ship to store, so there was only tax to deal with. That's fine, though, since I can just walk it back in should something go wrong with it. The biggest issue is when it'll ship.

HOWEVER, I also noticed the price was now $179. There are 4 left. The kicker is I got mine for the "standard" price of $149. This is from another private vendor. The private price has been steadily going down on Amazon. This is around $100 less that it had previously been, but still a rip off. I think mine is coming directly from Amazon, not through any third-party vendor.

It appears the dock is being carried in-store now -- every store near me has it. I've got some RZ bucks and a 12% off coupon (that includes tablet accessories!), so I guess I'll finally take the plunge.
Sears currently has the Dock. It's 149.99 plus tax and shipping. Cheaper than I found on amazon.com... which I usually buy from.

Just FYI: It's not Amazon that's marking up the dock, it's other sellers using their storefronts. Saying that Amazon is selling above MSRP is like saying that eBay is doing so. In reality, both those sites are serving only as the listing and payment mechanisms for other sellers.
When the dock has been in stock directly from Amazon, it's at $149.

Ordered a 64Gb from B&H and they don't know ****, and after the rumors of delay to Q2 and that Amazon will ship Jan 25 - Feb and that the launch in Sweden is also late Jan/Feb. I decided to buy from Ebay. but the thing that really triggered was what B&H wrote on facebook

They don't even know what they are selling and have available for preorder on there site, First and last time I will have anything with B&H to do.

But, in the grand scheme of things, you'll only be using this a week or so (I seriously doubt it'll take another month) early so was it worth it? I mean, you can basically do everything on a computer. Tablets are not needed -- they're awesome to use but they don't do much in terms of productivity (especially when compared to laptops/pcs).
Also, by buying off the guys on eBay, you are perpetuating the reselling process. Do you know a big reason you didn't get your pre-order? Because some **** bought 10 of these first and resold them on eBay. Guys like these really serve no economic value. (retailers provide distribution channels and outlets, what do resellers do?)

1%? I think there are quite a few people in the 99% that can afford to pay a couple extra hundred dollars more for a tablet.
ebay is too risky.
Easy to get scammed by someone trying to capitalized on the shortage supply and high demand.
It's not worth it, I can wait a little longer till local retails began getting supplies in after x-mas.

You can tell your "Occupy XDA" story walking pal. A week? I'm on backorder with BB for 30 days and nobody knows what the real story is. Hell, I had a Gamestop manager tell me he overheard a conference call he wasn't supposed to be privy to and that he heard that there were only 1000 tablets shipped to the U.S. and that Gamestop got 600 of those. If tablets are not needed then why are you trolling this forum and dropping your mighty wisdom? The reason I didn't get my preorder has nothing to do with someone buying in bulk, it's because BB and the other companies got duped by ASUS just like last year. People pay for goods based on the value they perceive that said goods provide to them personally. If an individual made $250 or so off me then good, eliminating the frustration and time I put into this debacle is worth it to me.
Ebay is showing three (or so) 64GB primes. If they are truly 64GB primes, that is encouraging that they have made at least one run. Don't know why they are not available yet for sale though.

The one's I found are sold from Taiwan.

And I saw one seller with a description that said he got several from Bestbuy.com yet he also copy and pasted the list of free games from Gamestop, including the part that says "Purchase a New Android(TM) Tablet Customized by GameStop and get free digital games!" I bought one of these yesterday at 6pm, paid for 2 day shipping and it arrived today at 2pm - 20 hours!!!
It looks great, like I just took it out of the original wrapper. I tried it for a few minutes, then upgraded (I guess that's debatable) to honeycomb. It's leedroid version, so I suppose it should be pretty good.

Actually this deal looks to be running all weekend long. This is part of the Black Friday ad itself but Best Buy is running some of the Black Friday deals early including this. I'm considering picking up one myself for my tablet.

BBY doing bad? Last I checked their stock price has gone up from $10 to nearly $40 this year. Not to mention...

Rofl the link you posted shows the card for $34.99 on amazon. Same price as best buy. Also looked up the Sandisk ultra micro sd 64 gb on amazon...it was $34.99. I don't know where you got $50 from.
And I was basing my claims about best buy on a cnbc documentary that talked about how people just use best buy as a showroom and buy all the stuff online...

I got the $50 from the link I posted. Look at it again. I was citing that Amazon has had it for $50 during this past week alone. And yes Amazon has it for $34.99 because they price matched Best Buy's price.

"Show rooming" as its called will never go away and Best Buy isn't the only company that is losing business because of this. Right now it's a matter not just on competing in price but also the overall experience. Best Buy has made improvements on this for sure in the past year and I'm very sure will continue to keep improving as well. It's never a bad thing as a consumer to have choices in the market for where to buy products. Especially since the demise of Circuit City which you can't deny did hurt more than helped Best Buy for a good deal of time by not having a direct specialized electronics retailer competing against them.
