I'm sure this has be discussed several times, but I could not really find a fitting thread.
I've flashed my WF with CM7 and I don't like the stock camera at all. I do however like the FX Camera, but the picture quality is pretty low.
What camera can you recommend? There should the ability to set a few settings and to set the image resolution to a higher value.
Also: Is it possible to replace the stock camera permanent with a new one? If so, what is the way to go?

I can't ... even though I have applied this:
[Hack] Unlblocking Market Apps (Market 2.3.6)
and it works for many Apps, there are still some Apps I can't find/install on my Wildfire. I don't know why.
How did you install it?
Flash miui camera from the link..and use adb to remove stock camera ...

Is it possible to have the stock camera on CM7?
because the CM7 camera looks good... but it just doesn't have all the options that the stock has, and i really need those...
How would i get that? and would it work on CM7?
I need stock as it one Has Manual Focus which I use for Photography I searched everywhere and tried many many 3rd party apps like camera360!!! But no luck!!!

hi guys, this is my first time so lets go easy on me?
anyways..
i recently updated my phone to ics after much anticipation i was kinda bummed to see that the camera had not changed
ie. the camera app remained the same as it had been and did not resemble to camera app shown on the whats new on ics page (under: Rich and versatile camera capabilities)
is this just a "sense" thing or is there a way for me to be able to change my camera app ?
consider (or dont, if you prefer not to) my proverbial cherry popped!

If you flash CapRomCE... Chrispaw used a different camera.apk in it if I remember right. Try it out. Dev section. The ROM is SOLID as well

well that software (sense) + ics integration to take better pictures no?
There is the HQ camera mod in the themes and apps forum that has a better different camera, but you have to be deodexed to use it.

You can take pictures using the power button on CM9, that's all i know

But 3rd party camera apps don't compete with the stock camera app. Trust me, i've had my share of trying 3rd party camera apps...

I've seen loads of posts where people want to replace the sense camera app with the latest jb one etc.
What I'm asking is if its possible to use the ics sense camera app in jellybean.?
I don't like sense based roms and love the pure stock experience but the stock camera sucks.
I always go back to an ics sense rom so I can use coolexe's camera mod as the picture results are superb.
I'm not bothered about 3d I just want to be able to take decent pics.

Hey, my problem i have isn't´t that big but i still searched for any solution but couldn't´t find something (If you wanna skip the not that important part you can skip the next paragraph ).
I´m planning to give my device to a (female) friend i have and therefore the phone should work no matter which function she wants to use.
So I installed SlimSaber (i´m not sure if I should feel bad for not using SlimKat ) and it is perfectly working fine. Especially the Dark Theme is nice and the battery usage is around 10 hours at medium to high usage. Only Problem which is bothering me is the Camcorder of custom roms. When recording something the camcorder always is zoomed in and there is no way to zoom out (guess this problem is well known? didn´t find much about aosp camera though...)
Well i´d like to know if there is any fix for the stock aosp camcorder with zoom bug. Using third party camcorders without zoom freezes my phone and i need to restart in order to get camera working again.
If there isn't any fix or a possibility to get around this there is another question
Is there any modified Samsung rom which is looking like aosp ui? and if not is there maybe a dark skinned Touchwiz ui available. I searched for stuff like that but i really can´t find anything.
Best solution would be to get a camera fix though...
