[Q] transparent market - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm looking for how to get a transparent market on gingerbread sense 3.0 roms without having to download Gingeritis. There was a thread awhile back about this but it's gone. I've tried using mods from other phone threads but no dice. Any help is appreciated. Currently using BAMF Sense 3.0 RC2 just in case.

Try this,,, it is a blue themed transparent market, just flash in cwm as you would any other zip, let me know if it helps.

[THEMEish] Theme Eraser for NFX and MikShift updated 4/4/11

This is just a zip you can flash to erase whatever theme you are using (for stock ROM). This will install all stock apps, stock frameworks, fonts and boot animation. I use this when I'm testing themes. Much better than re-installing stock ROM because you don't have to do any wipes (keeping all your apps and settings) and it will keep your OC kernel active. Also much quicker than re-installing stock or restoring nandroid

Changelog:
3/26/2011 Updated with nfinites 2.0 ROM deodex.
New! 4/4/11 Mikshift 1.1 version available (odex).
Instructions:
Make a nandroid just in case. Use CWM 2.5 or 3.x to flash (uses edify scripting). Busybox must be installed to flash.
Download:
Theme Eraser NFX (deodex) updated 3/26/11
Theme Eraser MikShift (odex) updated 4/4/11
Appreciate this. This is very handy and useful much better and faster than restoring nandriod

Ok, I'm coming from the moment and everything seems to be a little more confusing on the shift. I just perm-rooted my shift yesterday. Now I'm looking to theme it. I haven't installed any roms or different kernals yet, because I'm really confused on which one to do, cause a lot of them say something is broken.
So what i wanted to do was apply the cyan dragon theme. So I assume this theme eraser acts like a theme template and I have to use it before applying any theme.
Now the next problem I'm having I can't even download this or the cyan theme. Every time I click on the download link I get directed to the dropbox site and I get a 403 error. I even tried creating my own account and logging in and still don't know how to get the file. Don't know if its a dropbox problem but I've been trying since last night. I've never used dropbox before so maybe I have to do something different to get the file. Unless it's an xda thing and I don't have proper permission to download this file.
Any help would be appreciated, cause I really want to theme this bad boy.

This is not a theme template per se. You don't need to use this to flash a theme. This is for when (for example) your on cyan dragon and you decide you want to try a blue theme. This puts framework, apps, ect back to default (using nfinites rom as a base deodex) since not all themes have the same themed apps and you don't want to have some themed apps leftover on the wrong theme. This is also much faster than reflashing a rom, keeping all your apps and settings. If you're trying to flash cyan dragon then I recommend flashing nfinitefx45's stock 2.0 rom found in android developement first. The issue with the links is dropbox related and I'm planning on moving everything to multiupload later on today, then ill update the links.

I wouldn't recommend it. Mikshift is an odex rom and this is deodex.

Hey Dread,
If running the NFX Odex ROM, then which of the two versions would you recommend?

Well in that case I guess I would suggest the mikshift version cuz its odex as well... but it will basically become mikshift at that point...

Its suggested to do so. If you flash a theme over a theme there might be residual themed apps leftover as not all themes theme the same apps.

[Theme][CM7]PMD DarkBlue Nook! |05.07.11|

I have updated the theme to work with the 61 nightly which I have on good authority will soon be the 7.0.3 stable release. It's confirmed working on the Nightly#64 as of 05/07/11
I have been theming my Hero for a while now and I wanted to do the same with my NC. You can get an idea of what the theme looks like here.
It's called PMD DarkBlue Theme for the Nook Color. It includes themed Gmail, Market, QuickSearchBox, and SystemUI apk's along with the framework.
DOWNLOAD
Flash it via CWR. This is for eMMC CM7! I don't know that it will work on the Sd versions so try at your own risk!
reserved... cause I can
Nice!!!
Nice work.. I hope more themers start working on these ROMs.. It would be nice if we had some cool status icons for battery, wifi etc.. alternate keyboards you know really trick out the ROMs like I can with my vibrant phone.. Keep it up and thanks!!
Have you tried creating themes that are installed via the CM7 theme manager? I would give this theme a try if it was available that way.

I have looked at it but I just dont have the time right now to learn a new way of theming.
In case anyone is wondering, the theme works fine on RC4. If someone has time to post the latest market apk I'll update the theme for that too.

Assuming that you NooKColor is rooted, this is a fantastic app to capture images on the nook, "ShootMe", you can download it from the Market, I use it on my phone and on my NookColor. Awesome themes by the way!
Nice!
edit: this one sticks at the honeybee for me and will not boot. not sure why. Let me know where i can help.
I just did a full wipe and fresh install of CM 7.0.2 and flashed PMD DarkBlue.....No good on 7.0.2 hangs at the honey bee. Can't get past it, even with a hard reboot or waiting 10 minutes for the NC to rebuild the Cache / Dalvik.

No worries.....I have a Hero also and I was just hoping to get a nice theme going on the Nook too. FYI, I flashed back to 7.0.0 and it's broken there also. At 7.0.0 it bootloops at the honey bee. On 7.0.2 it loads to the honeybee and just hangs there.
Update-need testers
I have updated the theme to work with the 61 nightly which I have on good authority will soon be the 7.0.3 stable release. If you're running that nightly or after please BACKUP and then give this a test to see if anything borks. I am running Phiremod 6.2 and cant test it right now.

[Release] CyanogenMod 7.1.0 P-Rom-Style

This is a P-Rom to install some CyanogenMod extras and apps on the Atrix. There are two options- one with CyanBread preinstalled, and one with NguyenHuu's Gingerbread theme preinstalled. GingerBlur can be installed with it, because it doesn't wipe the phone, though it is not required.
NOTE: This is not full CyanogenMod. This is a Pseudo-Rom to give you guys the look and feel of CyanogenMod 7.1.0 on Froyo before I release it. This will also allow you to install Gingerbread apps on Froyo.
Downloads:
With Cyanbread preinstalled:http://www.multiupload.com/OV596IQDJT
Without Cyanbread: http://www.multiupload.com/6T82UCN5IU
For those having Google Maps force closes, try opening Maps and see if that fixes it.
Will a mod please move this to the Atrix Themes and Apps Section?

Not exactly.
This is a pseudo ROM.
Look and feel, no functionality.
Oh, so that's it.
Is this a complete Rom or based on other release?
Enviado desde mi MB860 usando XDA Premium App
So im confused, there is already a CM7 "theme" to be downloaded and recommended to flash over gingerblur.
This is saying the same thing...so when saying "recommended to flash over gingerblur" would this just be themeing over top of gingerblur or would this be replacing the P-Rom gingerblur with this CM7 P-Rom altogether?

Not for gingerbread...
Obviously not...

No, it has all the extras like CM7 (settings). You will get no performance boost because he has not built his own kernel which means you will be using the froyo kernel.

The CyanBread one installs the CyanBread theme for you.
Just installed this on 1.8.3, and I have no clock. There's just black space where it should be. Also got 2 force closes for the maps application as soon as it finished booting, as well as any time I try to use it.

Just make a new clock widget, and once you open Maps (if you get force close, keep trying.) it should stop. Try rebooting to verify.
If i install this over greyblur, will i get the crt shutoff animation?

Uses Aroma and has a choice between 3 different launchers(Apex/Nova/Touchwiz), AOSP/Sense lockscreen, & Selective Widget removal. Enjoy!
Be aware this will leave you as close to aosp as you can get on a sense rom. So if you use VZ Backup Assistant/HTC Sync, run those first. Could work on Sense 3.5 also.

And what's the truth behind running a sense Rom with a different launcher? Is performance degraded or what..
