hello everyone, i just wanted to know how to make a flashable ".zip" file, with all my apps that i want to install, in it. this is not because im lazy to install apps, its because my sd card is messed up and i cant install from my sd card, or market, so plz help, becuz this is the only way i can install apps, and i dont know how to use it.

surely this makes it a moot question. but the answer is yes but you would have to flash it from your sd card with xrecovery.
edit: heres mine with the apps removed, open in 7zip and drag your apks into the apps folder.

I think he was asking how to make it himself. Like how to properly make the things in that META-INF folder. I've searched too and come up with nothing. It'd be nice to be able to make a custom zip and flash back my arc phone apps, I flashed the honeycomb theme from that guy who's not go3asy, and I only hate its dialer/phonebook/calllog/favorites.
maybe you can try the HTC kitchen,which requiers your computer has a JAVA environment.
First of all, I want to thanks Dexter for his work. I made this threade for some help for FolioComb bugs reporting and patches updates.

BUGS and SOLUTIONS:
1. Lots of apps crashes(to fix enter in fastboot "fastboot-w" pr move apps from sd to tablet)
2. Android Market and YouTube apps don't work very well. Market don't have paid and all free apps even after enabling with Market Enabler and YouTube say "video unable to play"
3. When I try to install app from sdcard, app installer shows, but can't press install button(strange bug, only solution is factory reset)
Go here and go to end of page and you'll see list of app that you can and can't unistall(this is for CyanogenMod, but it's smilar to FolioComb and it android too)
4. Camera crashes and if try with another camera app, I get black screen and camera don't activate(blue light near camera)
5. Home button don't work
6. Little laggy(install OC kernel)
7. SOD(with OC kernel)
I'll update list with bugs, solutions and patches.

I have all those issues that others have reported so decided to move back to FolioMod... this apps FC issue really is a nasty one, so hopefully your patch can help a lot of ppl here
You don't understand me. I don't make patch, I only put Dexter patches on one place, because it's easier to find them all on one place.

I solve ... it's easy :
- some app is into \sdcard\ and we can reserch ( es search : com.rovio and found angry birds.apk )
- if folder is only read in top on root explorer we can change permission ( button r/o)

I can't move my files and I can't find any file manager that let me do su operations...How come, the android store just look like the app store ! (yeah kinda troll)
More over my birds were free on foliomod and i need to pay now there is only the beta release which is free...looks wierd !

I've installed application explorer which tells me that angry birds data are in /data/data/ isn't it strange...there's nothing in it...well the gamme fc so maybe it is normal !
angry birds is installed in /mnt/asec, if i managed to move the directory where should i put it ? in /sdcard or /sdcard2 or /sdcard/sdcard-disk0 ?

I found /system/lib directory has no more space to past anymore libs.
So how to extend it??(for now, it only has about 250Mb space)
I said before that system directory don't have enough space and I don't know how to extend it.

After installing HC beta 3, modem not work.

Flash no support, but with OC kernel i dont have Lag

Yes, usb work. He is mounted in
mnt/usb/docking_usb
I posted bug in development threade and Dexter said that he will update HC tomorrow. Modem was working, but not for all countries.
If you want to change sd card mount point, you have to change vold.fstab in /system/etc.
I have a theme that I would like to share with HTC amaze community but every zip format & signed it say installation aborted. On my own phone any help would be appreciated. Theme includes systemui, frameworkres, & fusion. I tried the zipsigned apk from the market but no luck. How can I make an themed signed zip ?

When it comes to a computer i'm more of a noob. All of my own themes i've done thru ninjamorph. No offence i'd need more info then that sorry man.

I'll give you a zip that's gonna install everything you have placed in the systems folder, that will includes things that go into the app/data/framework folders, etc, okay? To not lose the signature, you'll open the file with winrar and drop n' drop your sub-folders into their respective places, you can keep the script/empty zip for future use.

Ok I downloaded it. U swapped the apks & flashed it to my phone & it worked there's just one thing I have to rechange then it'll be ready but now the next thing is to upload the theme should I use drop box and register or something else?
I could upload it to devhost for you under my account so it won't be deleted and stuff. Dropbox is good too.

Are you trying to get the play appstore on your device? As far as I know you have to flash gapps to get that.
I`m using CMW and it doesnt show any errors but the Market nor anyother gapps appear

CMW says zip is installed but nothing appears on device. And when I try to just install the android market APK thats saved on SD card it says I dont have enough space even though 1.83 gb are free.
Please I know this doesnt help much but I need help bad, I`m using a mac so I do not have a way to use ODIN, I dont even care about Rooting I just want this back to normal, it is for my younger brother and he gave it to me to sell for him, and after doing a factory reset I noticed his android market vanished.

Hi is there something that tells me what I am suppose to be doing? Do I use this to flash Gapps? I`m confused. And is this command line stuff or is there an actual front end where I can just click on stuff like ODIN? I`m really pressed for time so I cant ready through pages of stuff, and google searches arent helping at all.
Maybe you can install easily with this:http://android-market-apk.en.softonic.com/android. If you can't you have to paste the googleplay.apk into /system/app with a root file manager

Here you have the google play apk: http://androidfilehost.com/?fid=22926241640219602. Now download a explorer, like the ES file explorer. Paste the apk into /system/app and push over the apk a little and change the permissions:
User: Write and Read
Group: Read
Other: Read

You can't do that! As simple as that, sorry to say. Fortunately this headache has solution simply by restorating the default system. I think you can do it with Kies.

2 things can be happening. Either after you exctract the zip file with Winrar and it contains an apk file which you can transfer to your phone and using a file explorer just run it.
Or you have to go into CMW clockwork mode recovery (if you have it) and select flash a zip file.

if the apk is signed as zip then open that zip with some editor like notepad++ and save it as "*.apk"
There is no apk inside zip file.Its like meta file and system..But its just an app,is it necessary to install via CWM!!!!!!!!!!! in thread it was given as instal file as normal apk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Search all the folders for a apk file

Just rename file's extension from .zip to .apk then. Depending on your OS configuration, you may have to edit 1 setting, if you can not change the extension. For that - Control Panel, Folder Options, View, untick Hide extensions for known file types.

nope it is better without lags and crashes
am on Ubuntu 13.10, i have issues with Firefox(some crashes), so i use chromium no lags at all for me

guess it is not that memory problem, chrome&firefox renders on quality than speed, so most animations lag if more than 10-15 tabs(content also matters may be) are opened at once

no from my brain, bro ;D i dont talk same as somebody else said :/ i get behind myself im pretty sure its oom, bcuz if i usng stock browser he holds 2 sites loaded, now when open more sites , he only holds the current one. so if i switch to other site he (re)load data. on it. memory usage is some higher but okay. now when i use some browser that usaally tries to holds all the data my memory decreases very hard until to some mb left, on early legacy xperia buils my phone restarted more often if i used other browser hard. i faced this issues on nearly all new browser's... sometimes even my device stops responding so must take off battery i never faced this on stock browser but more site-reloads.
i had seen this behaviour on several roms like stock ics and cm's JB. ...
