[Q] Does the stock video player have any options? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I downloaded a mp4 movie from my tab and tapped on the file. The movie started playing but it was the size of about 2x3 inches on the screen. I tried double tapping the screen and tried looking for an options menu but nothing came up. The only thing I saw was the 5.1 surround sound symbol on the lower left corner. Is there any way to get videos to play in full screen mode? Thanks for any help.

[Q] ICS browser and flash player

Since I upgraded to ICS I have nothing but problems... the most annoying of them all is the freaking browser!
I want a normal youtube experience, like I had in the 2.3.5, where I can interract with the youtube video buttons (resolution, fullscreen, etc.).
Now when I enter youtube and start to play a video, all I see is a play button on the video, and when I press it a vimeo-like interface appears for a second, then disappears, and the video plays but I cant stop or change anything... Tapping the video like a madman, and nothing happens.
I have flash player 11 installed.
If I switch on the "request desktop site" the controls appear, but the video is square now... If i press fullscreen it will switch to fullscreen mode, but the video will overlap part of the controls (still square, not normal aspect ratio).
The hell is wrong with it? ((
EDIT: this happens when I try to watch a movie trailer (Prometheus, The Hobbit... in HD quality) on youtube. Tried another video and normal player is there... WTF is going on? :/
Try this: Prometheus - Official Full HD Trailer - Ridley Scott, .......

[Q] "Videos" stock player bug?

Hey guys quick question for you.
I download youtube videos on my computer and load them up on the GNote and watch the clips using the stock player.
Sometimes when I select the next clip I want to watch, it would play a video that I captured using the GNote. Does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? Also, is there are way to default the screen orientation to landscape?
I could use MX Player or Doubletwist, but I like the stock player because you could lock the screen. This function is vital because I hold the phone with my thumb pressing the softkeys on the bottom.
As always, thanks.
What about flipping the phone around so your thumb is resting on the top of the phone, by the carrier logo? Then you don't have to lock anything. The area is just as wide as the area used by the buttons so there is plenty to hold on to. Just keep your thumb to the left of the logo and not to the right so you don't cover up the sensors.

[Q] brightness problem?

So I downloaded a screen filter app of Google play and I've noticed that when I switch to full screen in the YouTube app and the play/pause button disappears the screen turns washed out. I don't remember it being like that before I got the app so I uninstalled it and that didn't work so I reset my phone but that still didn't work. It also happens watching videos off the internet in the stock video player. Is there a way to fix this or has it always been like that?

Your gallery cam have a separate brightness setting. When you play the video, tap the menu button and then settings. You'll be able to adjust the brightness default for videos in gallery.

Thanks, but I'm not understanding what you trying to tell me.
But I figured it out.
If I scroll my finger along the left side of the screen I can adjust the brightness (right side adjust the volume). I had someone taking videos for me at an event and it seems they managed to lower the brightness in the video player.

My misspellings didn't help. Fixed them.
So (I think) when you swipe up/down on the left it just adjusts the brightness for that video while you're watching it. If you instead hit the menu/settings button (3 dots) there inside the video, you'll be able to adjust the default brightness setting for when you play any video in the gallery. So it will always be brighter, every time.
By doing it the way your doing, sliding up and down on left, I think it is just adjusting the brightness that one particular time, and then brightness will just go back to the old setting.
Thanks, I found the setting in the video menu, but it keeped the brighter setting from running my finger up the left side of the screen. So both methods seem to work.

Black screen with Netflix

I have this weird problem with the Honor 10. When playing a Netflix video, it first works, but after a few video's, the screen is black. Subtitle, audio and notifications are heard/shown but no video. When pressing the home button, the PiP video is shown and this DOES work. When switching back to full screen, again only black video. I've found out that switching the resolution between HD+ and FHD+ fixes the problem but after a while it comes back. Anyone have a clue?
I only watch it at HD+ so it consumes less bandwith.
Never a problem.
Watched like 100+ episodes of different series on my Honor 10 and never had this problem.
