[Q] How do I start Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog with emulator, e.g. Gensoid ? - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This may sound as a dumb question but I don't see how to start playing this game myself.
I installed Gensoid, found a ROM of Sonic The Hedgehog on ROM World and put the .smd file on my Archos 70.
However when I start Gensoid and browse to the .smd file, the game starts but only in a kind of demo mode. I cannot start playing myself.
What should I do ? Is there something that I have overlooked ?
(I have to add that I am not very experienced in gaming).
Thanks in advance for any help.

havent done this yet - but isnt there a message like "press start"?
Like in console games ever since... otherwise just try to press it.
Has Gensoid any overlayed softbuttons/are they enabled?
Anyway those games arent that much fun anyway on touch only devicec as softbutton play isnt like the good old console feeling and u dont always hit softbuttons in action games all the time
Anyway if u have a wiimote and gensoid support it u perhaps can connect it to you device and try - but u need a kind of driver + root to get it to work as far as i remember... search the prog in market.

3D games

I want some 3d games that are up to par with CALL OF DUTY 2 PPC EDITION. I am using a Tilt 2 with the TVOUT funtion and I am able to use a WIIMOTE so I am lookin for some 3d games that will let u program buttons for different actions. Can I get some suggestions?
Try FPSEce. AFAIK it runs on a Tilt2, but maybe you need to tweak around a bit with the settings (frameskip!) to get a good result. Games like "Tekken 3" won't work very well... But maybe something like "Die Hard Trillogy". You should be able to map the Buttons to a Wiimote, too.

Thanks but i am not lookin for an emulator. I am wanting some 3d games like COD2 or QUAKE they do not have to be FPS style games. I only want games which let you program buttons. I do not wanna download a 30MB-100MB game on my device cause of my data limit unless I can program buttons so i can use my WIIMOTE to play. This is why i am askin for suggestions.

[Q] FPSE issues on Xperia Play

Hi Guys
I have a Rooted Xperia Play 3.0.1.a.145.
I have ripped a few PSX images (.bin/.cue) of games like FF8 , re2 and dino crisis 2.
In the wiki these games are supported by fpse and was hoping to get them working.
i have the scph1001.bin bios file on the sd card and have loaded it within fpse systems section.
i have also enabled spu sound and disabled HLE.
When i try loading any of these 3 games i just get a black screen and the game does not load and i end up pressing the menu button and quit out of fpse after a few minutes of wait.
Can someone tell me if i am ripping the games wrong? i am using imgburn and games are 2345bytes/sector.
Am i suppost to be using any other program after imgburn to shrink the screen size?
Any help will be appreciated. Im a N00b to Android phones.
Regards
Manny
ive been looking for answers on this all morning, thought it was the versions i downloaded at first, so i just bought the most current for 5 bucks. still, terrible sound with FF7, no sound with FF8, and i cant configure my X button on the controller. im getting very frustrated with this myself.
I'm having this same issue
I can't map the X button either and it's driving me crazy.

Emulator gaming

We all know Wildfire is a bit (lot) on the slow side, but, surprisingly I was able to play and complete several PS1 games on it, yes 3D games, on Wildfire!
So far I played:
Playstation 1 (FPse):
*Gran Turismo 1 - played nicely, was able to win few races in simulation mode (if you played GT1, you know AI is a bit hard, even more in US and japanese versions). I'm big GT fan so I don't enjoy it if it isn't on wheel or joystick (got PS3 only for GT5 ).
*Resident Evil 1/2 - completed, very nice gameplay.
*Metal Gear Solid - stuck on electricity torture after defeating Sniper Wolf (can't press the button fast enough, but, no big deal, I completed the game 10ish times), nice gameplay overall.
*Tekken 2 - works fine, smooth.
*Twisted Metal 2 - nice gameplay.
*Few other games.
Super Nintendo (SNESoid):
*Mortal Kombat # - No problem, smooth, fun, got my a** kicked, though.
*A lot of other games, all played smooth.
Gameboy Advance (GameBoid):
*Pokemon: Fire Red Version - best game ever , playing it currently, smooth gameplay.
Note: Games were played on CM7/RemPuzzle Lite, clocked at: 528-748 MHz with ondemand governor (PS1) and 352-691 MHz, again, ondemand governor (SNES, GBA).
So, did you play any game? If you did, share it!
Gameboy Advance:
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonanace
Pokemon Emerald
Zelda: a Link to the Past
I have also tried Need for Spped Carbon for the GBA, but it's really laggy once you try to use multitouch (multiple controls at once)
Are you running overclocked or stock?
Wow blast from the past. This was the whole reason I rooted my phone to start with back in the day,so I could o/c and kick ass on tekken3. No place on my phone anymore for games but loved that period/phase I went through.
Fspe served me well, but I think it was a little awkward to understand at first if I remember right.
Sorry ramble over.lol
Tekken 1,2,3
Hogs of war
Lots of others but can't remember.
it made sense in my head !!!
I played tiger snes/ GBA. sound is so laggy; have to turn off the sound ?
I also clock to 328- 729. on demand. it's doesn't help.

1. Download the emulator application, e.g. GameBoid.apk is for Game Boy Advance
2. Download the BIOS (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS), to simplify, the thing that makes the emulator application think your phone is a Game Boy Advance, Playstation or whatever.
3. Dowload the actual game and enjoy
I cant supply you with links because this is kinda considered warez, but i will send you everything in PM if youre interested.

Well, only some emulators require special bios, those do "heavy" emulation, simply, if you want to play game boy advance, google gba bios, it should be in .bin format. Download it and copy to sd card, then, start the emulator application and it will ask you to locate bios, just navigate to the .bin file and select it, done.

one question...
Is there any Android nintendo DS emulator? if exists, how is named, and how can i use it? thx
Thanks
it seems like wildfire can handle every gba/snes/genesis game, but on fpse:
diablo - laggy
tomba - laggy
harvest moon - found running good at 50 fps, lol
medievil - laggy still, sometimes is playable..
Chrono Cross - laggy
CM7 build 57, 652-768 mhz on smartass, is really there anything to improve gaming perfomance on this device?
FPSe on the wildfire with no gpu? How is that even possible! Is it all software rendered?
I tried FPse emulator, I tried both Resident evil and Gran Turismo 1.........
I faced problems on both games.......
I have the Digital controls set, But On resident evil i couldn't attack the zombie, I pressed all the keys but no use...... On gran turismo, I couldn't get the car to run, Which key to use.
And Can we use the touch panel to control the games, It would be awesome.
And what other games can you play on it.... Please help

i dont know what could be the problem, when i was playing all touch keys worked just fine, you should disable the sound im fpse though because sound is performance killer. id try different version of fpse first, then try to fix it if it doesnt work.

Oh I can drive the car on Gran Turismo,.... It was because the Gsensor driving was on, so it drove backward when I pressed the key........ Everything else works good.
They say you have to press the R1 to aim and X to fire.... but it only works sometimes.
so I can't use a knife on resident evil, and on landscape there is no R1, R2, L1, L2, how to fix that?

[Q] mc3 on hp touchpad how to?

Does any one know how to get i work?
I have downloaded data etc.. start game and video good gameloft and then5 sec later says mc3 has stopt! My tablet does that also with riptide gt!
Is there a fix or something i have the suprme mod on it!
no one?
I would love to play the game and should be posible ipad has same screen so the game must suport it!
A lot of people have issues with a lot of games. The answer, unfortunately, is the same across the board. Tweak your build.prop, try backing up the data from a working / supported device, then restoring it on the tablet. Try playing with the test graphics drivers out there. If none of those work, you might have to wait for the game designers to add support for the TP into their program - which may or may not happen.
ah ****
Yeah sucks.
But i dont understand why is does download and start and then stops/forceclose!
Okay thx

SuperGNES type app for other emulators

I have SuperGNES running on my mk808b ii. The main thing I like about it is that it grabs the covers for the games with a push of a button. Are there any other emu's for genesis, nes etc. that also do this. I tried it w/ xbmc but it wasn't working right and w/ xbmc I have to open up another program that I dont need open to get the one I want. Thank you for your help.
I was looking for the same thing but for the dropbox support
If I actually did help, how bout a Thanks for 'ol times sake
